Chapter 22: Voice Magic: Sound of Doom

Back at the Bakery, the shady man is currently searching the bakery for any signs of Isabella, for once he does, he will rape her, pleasure her for maybe a week or two, before killing her and going on about his life. Playing with his dagger, lightly licking his lips at the thoughts of getting his hands on a body as voluptuous as Isabella, he misses two people hiding behind the kitchen counter in the bakery.

"Big Sis Isabella, you circle around first past him, I'll be behind you", Coralia whispers to Isabella. Isabella slowly begins to move past the shady man who is about to completely walk past them into another room, but unfortunately as Isabella began to crawl past, she knocked over a spoon from the table next to the counter.

*Cling*

The shady man throws a dagger at the direction he hears the noise, which cuts off Isabella's path forward, but luckily just misses Isabella by a hair length's distance. The shady man grabs another dagger from a satchel attached to him, before staring at Isabella who is currently frozen in fear with a savage grin while licking his lips.

"Why hello there Isabella". He says in a gentlemen-like tone, but then his voice begins to resume getting colder and more malicious, "You know I would love to have a women such as yourself. It's so unfortunate that you're a single mother. I can warm you tonight once I'm done with "work", he laughs after saying this. Isabella begins to slowly crawl backwards away with a very scared look on her face. "I'll give you one chance, you can live once im done making love to you, but you must fulfill all my desires tonight or..." He takes the knife in hand and makes the cutting motion on his throat. Tears begin to slowly build up in Isabella's eyes as she is still frozen to the ground, staring up at the shady man who would do unimaginable things to her if he got her hands on him. The shady man begins to walk closer to Isabella, but before he could reach Isabella, Coralia tosses a bag of flour at the shady man. The shady man's quick reflex would cause him his chance in getting Isabella, for he slices apart the bag of flour that comes at him, causing a cloud of white to envelop the entire room. Coralia rushes towards Isabella before helping her get up, and rushing towards the closest exit. As they exit the room towards the bedroom of the house, they both can hear the screaming of shady man.

"I don't know what the hell or who the hell did that, but when I clear through this smoke, YOU'RE DEAD", he yells. After failing to find his way because of the smoke for 30 seconds, the smoke finally begins to clear and he starts to head in the direction that Coralia and Isabella went. Both Isabella had moved a dresser in front of the door to block the door. Isabella hugs Coralia while tears go down her face.

"I'm so sorry Coralia sweetie, if I wasn't so weak, I would be able to protect both you and Isaac. Go out the window while you still have the chance, I'll be fine...but you must live Coralia, go and help Isaac, as long as I die knowing you both are safe, I'll be happy". Isabella says with tears streaking down her eyes. Suddenly the door to the room is blasted apart along with the dresser by what looks like to be a strong wind. The shady man walks through the room and traces of wind is surround his hand. He looks at Coralia for a few seconds before smiling.

"A child mermaid huh? You'll be sold for at least 3 gold on the slavery market. Looks like I'll have two playthings tonight, too bad only one of you will get to live". He laughs crazily and begins to walk closer to them.

"Scum"! Coralia shouts while holding her arms out as to be a shield for Coralia. Isabella is trying her hardest to get Coralia but she won't budge even a little.

"What are you going to do to me huh? I know your species like the back of my hand, tier 0 water magic or healing wont save you little girl. You might have had a chance if you could use attack voice magic, but I know that the child mermaid species is protected from birth so they don't practice attack voice magic until there teen stage". He laughs when he says that, teasing Coralia at her inability. The shady man begins to bring his knife up into the air, and was about to bring it down, but before he could do so.

"Voice Magic: Sound of Doom"!

Erupting from Coralia's mouth comes a sound wave of unprecedented power. As her mouth stays open, the sound wave continues to travel out of her mouth and towards the shady man. The shady man begins to scream in pain as he covers his ears with his hands, dropping his knife in the process. Normally, tier 0 magic would not be able to to contest with people on the tier 1 level, but due to the high potential of voice magic, it can sometimes breach past tiers of magic to harm someone on a higher level. The shady man would learn firsthand how it felt to suffer at the hands of a angry mermaid. Coralia is currently overcharging her magic to the limit to continue using her spell, the shady man might have been a tier 1 mage, but he was definitely up to the standards of one, all the cowardness that he had committed without no real work will have come back to bite him today, because he didn't build up a pain tolerance, he just let others do things for him and always hid to keep himself safe. Soon the shady man falls to the ground dead, the life leaving his eyes and the blood flowing from his ears as it pours over the floor. With a tired look in her eyes and a voice mimicking the same tiredness, Coralia turns to Isabella.

"You don't need to be strong, because I'll be strong for the both of us Big Sis Isabella". As Coralia finishes this sentence, she falls unconscious from the overexhaustion of her magic. Isabella catches Coralia before she can fall over in her arms. With tears in her eyes, but a smile that could produce a warm feeling in even the coldest of hearts, Isabella hugs Coralia closer to her.

"I am so lucky to have children like you and Isaac, if only he could see these two right now...I'm sure he would be proud of both of you".
