The Battle of Pure and Evil

Kino could use the bazooka to block the blade's attack but she thinks that the blade is way sharper than any blade she met before, thus unequipping it to prepare herself.

The blade was about to pierce her heart but then, Kino catched the sword's tip bare handedly. The blade was huge and sharp but in terms of strength, Kino wins.

How could she not? She circulated her aura to her arms and hands and it improved her strength to hold the blade by quite a lot, still, even though she managed to hold the blade. It wouldn't last that long.

As second passes, the blade's distance from her heart slowly getting close and at the same time, the blade gets more heavier and heavier. Kino doesn't panic however, instead, she smiled. As if the blade had consciousness, it was surprised and its weight subconsciously became lighter.

Kino put much force in her hands when it happens, the tip of the blade starts showing signs of cracking. The huge sword panicked and its handle swaying to the left and right, it was like a fish whose head is stuck on something and tried to get away.

Kino doesn't waste time either, she flows her aura into the blade but it was rather difficult for it to get in with the thick darkness covering the blade but even the thickest fortress has cracks.

Thus, keep that in mind, she uses her aura to search for any weaknesses and after a few breaths, she finds it. Her aura slips through that weakness and slowly spreads into the blade.

The blade didn't give in either, it was able to put up a good fight, to which for Kino. It was rather a difficult and troublesome fight.

Everytime her aura spread, the blade quickly fought it with the darkness inside it.

Considering the black sword is coming from the black ball and the connection between them is like a small black thread, the sword has an infinite energy.

Kino's facial expression darkened a bit. She must change her strategy and if they keep fighting which amount is more dominant, Kino without a doubt will be on the losing side no matter how strong her aura is.

However, just as she was about to change her fighting strategy, she remembered something else.

'That's it! My aura is different than anyone else!"

Due to the intense and hard training, it managed to change her aura and was different than anyone else. The fact it could even change her aura, it's safe to say that the training was way more intense than anyone could think of.

The result of her training varies, whether her calm state in a depressing situation, capacity for her aura energy is wider and vast than anyone else is, she could even make her aura pure without any resources! Also, she could easily flow her aura energy without being focused, as easy as breathing but the latter is very common for prodigies so like that counts.

Darkness' nemesis is light and purity.

Next, she makes her aura two times, no, three times, four, five! Her aura's purity is five times more than before. Which means her chance of defeating the darkness in the blade would be as easy as putting a drop of water on a tissue, it easily spreads.

Though, every action has a price to pay, her aura energy is decreased by many amounts. This is actually to be expected when she decides to do this.

The darkness on the tip earlier was replaced by light. As if a very contagious virus, it spreads very quickly to its handle, though, before it happens.

Kino could hear a very faint shriek but it was hard to hear despite the quiet night so it must be her feeling.

It ended rather fast and without much drama (right?), after the black huge sword was replaced by a shiny blade, it then broke into many little pieces before finally disintegrating and fading away completely.

"I see, so it was not an illness but a curse." Kino said as she averted her focus to the black ball and the latter's size is smaller than the last time she saw it.

This makes her brows raise slightly and she thought to herself, it seems my guess is true, it's getting smaller every time it sends weapons.

She comes up with the guess when she does the 'little experiment', to which she waste a lot of time in the process and also have a bit of fun.

Which makes her feel guilty, the situation is intense and serious but she had a bit of fun.

Well, put aside that, what's more important is the result! Also, when she shot the bazooka, she wanted to see if the black ball would get angry or not.

Of course, her hope that the black ball is defeated is real but she doesn't expect that there would be a huge sword, she is a bit anxious when that happens.

Put aside all up above, she knows exactly what that curse is thanks to the short and a few seconds of physical interaction.

"It's good that I knew what it is but removing it is rather hard to do, still, making it weak seems the only plausible option." She scratched her hair and sighed.

The curse turns out something she knows. The short time of physical interaction allows Kino to analyze the structure of the curse.

It  only takes her a small amount of seconds to analyze it, she could think six different things in a short amount of time so multitasking a few different things isn't that hard.

Although it was only a huge black sword, it was still part of the black ball.

So analyzing it really helps her a lot but here's the thing, even though she knows what it is, she could only weaken the curse instead of removing it.

You see, removing a curse is the same as curing an illness from a person.

It requires many steps and a lot of resources, thus she can only weaken it.

But making it weak is not as easy as it sounds, it was way more troublesome than removing it and also, time consuming.

Considering the black ball gets stronger by absorbing something from the Elder's body, it shows that the black ball has unlimited energy.

Even if she makes her aura purer than before to defeat the darkness, what's the point if the amount of the energy from the black ball is almost infinite?

It was like racing with an ordinary motorcycle against a futuristic motorcycle technology that allows it to move as long there's movement.

In brief, the longer the battle is, the harder it is for her to win.
