The war of God’s

On a world of desert sands and torturous heat and little water tribes of stout desert folk survived by determination and willpower the weak were culled and the strong survived it was a harsh life but they lived it unflinchingly. The lives of the desert dwellers changed forever more the day 13 gods arrived above their world and decided their fate and yet one refused the others who would have simply wiped the world clean and started anew in his defiance he fought for those poor dwellers and the war began. For a year and a day thunder rolled lightning in multiple hues flashed blood rained from the skies and bits of godly viscera fell from the heavens. Trees grew up in moments from fallen flesh and new races were born and old races forever changed and forged anew rivers flowed where one had ever before and oceans formed as mountains grew from the bedrock like angry spires.

The unchanged fled the insanity of the surface world for the depths of the world crafting tunnels and cities far from the surface world. Those that were born anew were many the elvish race was born from changed dwarvish clans while the race of man was born out of a primordial mixture of blood soaked mud and god viscera but the worst of all were the races born from god excrement the trolls orcs goblins and ogres they hated every single race not their own and through darkest alchemy and magic they created the race of harpies and the race of dark elves though another race was born as well from the branches of a tree sprung the race of the ents and from the highest mountain stones was born the odd race of the storm elves.

The primordial races fought to find their place in this remodeled world and many were wiped out or absorbed into other races while some thrived however mankind struggled mightily with over 40 different races of mankind they were a volatile empire that fractured apart frequently. Mankind's empire eventually settled down once interbreeding happened and differences diminished though even after a thousand years there was a significant amount of strife.

After generations of change and interbreeding mankind was down from over 40 individual races of men to 7 there were the pale north kin, the easterners, the dark skinned dessert dwellers, the olive skinned islanders, the outcasts who were the culmination of every other races cast offs, the mage born whose pale skin and blue blood were as obvious as a massive sign in the open, and lastly the elementals while very similar to the mage born they had none of the physical traits and only had mastery in a single element. The races of mankind were almost United though the orcs and goblin kind were dead set on eradicating all other life on the planet.

As the predations of goblin and orc kind grew each race attempted to fight them off individually however goblins bred so quickly that simply overwhelmed each in turn mankind however proved to be adept at slaughtering them it was the Orcs that were the hardest for mankind to beat as each orc is stronger and with significantly better stamina than a human and it was the banding together of the remains of the human race and what remained of the dwarvish and elvish armies as well as a gambit by a human thief that while failed miserably for him saved a great many lives in the end and gave humanity a chance.

The dragons had been incited to fury by a unlucky rouge who managed to convince the dragons that he was a goblin and then all hell broke loose.

This chapter is more of an introduction to the world rather than a full chapter of its own I apologize if this is inconvenient and ask only that you judge the other chapters on their own merits.
