Arrival of nothing

Sucked through a portal I would have thought it was a joke but here I am standing in a room straight out of the Middle Ages sadly there was no well endowed young women to fawn over me nor was there a aging wizard or even a king in fact there was a pile of ash marring the otherwise pristine lines of a ritual circle. It was quiet and honestly kind of dark no sign of a single piece of electric equipment anywhere just some torch sconces and candles and everything that I was wearing was gone I was literally standing there in my birthday suit and it was a tad chilly.

I'd have probably been less concerned if I had been met by anyone but as it was I didn't even know what my summoner looked like nor did I know why I'd been summoned. I explored the room for a little while and honestly I still found nothing so I headed to the only door I'd seen and tried to open it and realized it was open and didn't even have a latch just a crossbar that would hold it shut. My exploration took me into the hallway and it was just a bit better illuminated than the ritual room was though I still had no idea where the light was coming from it was still pretty dim. As I looked around the hallway I found myself in I found several doors along it some of which were open so I checked them out and I found a store room for clothes which if I'm being honest I quickly dove into as my bits were freezing.

I rummaged through the clothes I found and all I found were home spun wool clothes scratchy but warm and more than a few dresses in several eye catching colors though I managed to find a pair of gray pants that were a little baggy on me but with a little creativity I got them to fit and a brown shirt that actually fit pretty well I even found what looked like a tan cloak that was just about the right size though I had no idea what was the right size for a cloak honestly it was big enough that it only hung a couple inches from the floor. I dug through the clothes and honestly couldn't find a single pair of shoes boots or anything else that would come close to fitting my feet so I settled for tearing up a particularly atrocious blue dress into strips and wrapped my feet up then I explored the next open room and found an armory though it was rather limited having only a few seemingly mass produced swords and a few other things tucked into corners deciding that I better arm myself just in case I took a look through the entire collection.

I tested every single sword I found and managed to find one that did more than just chop things my testing chop on a empty rack caused it to burst into flames which I quickly put out and just as quickly put the sword into a scabbard and onto my belt though I also grabbed a rather mundane sword that seemed to fit my hand better than most and cut slightly better than the others at least for me. After my sword experiment I realized that test indeed there was real magic in this world and I was so ready to learn it but first I needed to get equipment so I could survive until then. After digging through the armory I managed to find a couple of things that seemed interesting a ring with a sapphire and a bandolier with four pouches in the front so I put the ring in a pouch and headed back to the hallway as there was more to loot.

As I reached the hallway I noticed a new door was open so I decided to check it out and it was a strange one inside was a small room with a crystal orb on a pedestal so naturally I touched it and then it light up blindingly bright green just before I couldn't see anything I turned away and stumbled out of the room and into the hallway.
