Chapter 46

"About time you came back," Amay said as she watched Lucas come back outside. She was sitting with her legs crossed on the grass, stretching her arms.

"Sorry. Sorry." Lucas said, hurrying back to his partner. He watched as she hopped to her feet with barely any effort. His chest began to beat a little faster as he realized he's never fought her before. "I decided to eat an apple since I'm not fully hungry," he explained. He pulled his left arm to the right, before doing the opposite to his right arm.

"That's nice," Amay replied, putting her hair fully behind her ears. Her eyes looked at Lucas for a second and then at his right arm. She let out a slight hum as she thought about something. "Hey. Since you still don't know the fullness of your magical power, I'm not going to use my blood magic on you. So no need to worry about my weapons or things like that."

"Oh, okay. Thanks for the heads-up," he said to her before stretching his legs.

"Don't thank me. Also, I'm not like Elizabeth or that Mutt, so I'm not holding back on you," she said in a calm yet cold voice.

"Oh." Lucas nearly whispered as his worry began to set in. "Could you, at least, not punch me in the face? I would rather not go to work with a black eye," he kindly asked her. He hoped she wouldn't because he didn't want to devise an excuse for his job.

"Depends," Amay teased him with a childish giggle. "Let me know when you're ready."

As she said that, Lucas looked down at his right hand. A part of him feared hurting his arm again, like the other day. "Focus and control yourself," He told himself as he clenched his hand into a fist. He could feel the warm sensation engulf him as the magical energy reentered his body. While his light blue aura began to dance around his body, he opened his eyes towards Amay.

"He's ready," Amay told herself as her eyes dilated. She then took off towards him. The air carried her feet as she charged toward her opponent. As soon as she was a few feet in front of him, she made the first attack. Amay leaped into the air, did a small but quick front flip, and brought her right leg down.

A groan left Lucas's mouth as he used both arms to block her leg from connecting with his head. He could feel his arms tense up from her attack. She had him drop to one knee as he didn't realize how much power she held with her petite frame. "Damnit," Lucas whispered to himself as he could feel his arms begin to shake, and the pain ran through them.

"Is that all he can do?" Amay thought to herself as she could feel his struggle beneath her leg. She wasn't entirely going all out yet but wanted to test him. She wondered if he would try if she pushed him a little more. "Come on. Are you going to allow my one kick to bring you down?" She wondered to herself.

Lucas took a deep breath. He could feel his arms begin to shake as if they were going to break from her kick. He could feel his chest begin to pump harder while, at the same time, he could feel the muscles in his left burn. He slowly began to rise and began to push Amay's leg back. With a mighty roar, he was able to push her fully back. With her forced back into the air, Lucas fell to the ground breathing hard.

Amay flipped in the air and landed back on her feet like a cat. Her eyes looked at Lucas, struggling a little on the ground. "Fufufu. Don't tell me; my kick brought you to your knees already?" Amay began to mock him.

"No," Lucas said, taking another breath. "Just warming up."

"That's good," Amay said as she slowly walked towards him. This soon turned into a light sprint before becoming a full-on run.

Lucas got to his feet in time to move his head toward the right as he could feel a rush of air go by his face. Timed seemed to have slowed down for him as he realized Amay almost punched his head off. He could feel his right hand clenched into a fist. His eyes narrowed as he watched her face when she discovered his fist connected to her stomach.

His punch carried Amay and caused her to be sent backward. She landed on her feet but did a few spins to try to handle her balance. Her right hand held her stomach as she felt the sting from his punch. As a cough escaped her mouth, her red eyes began to pulsate while looking at him.

"You have gotten stronger compared to the first time we met," Amay complimented him. "Now..do it again," she said, and without another word, she descended on Lucas.

Lucas prepared himself for her attacks, but he didn't expect her to fight the way she did. He could feel his body tense and tell him where to dodge; however, Amay seemed to be five steps ahead of him. When he blocked one punch or one of her kicks, she managed to land four more or counter his block. While he could barely land a single good punch or two, she's already dealt five or six on him.

"She's faster and more versatile compared to mom." Lucas thought as he managed to punch Amay in her arm and then somewhat kicked her back with his right foot. His sides began to hurt along with his arm, which he struck her with. She had used her right arm to jab his arm four times and causing his arm to tense up badly. "Yet, I think I'm noticing something." He thought to himself as he watched her get back to her feet.

A smile crept across Amay's face as she could feel warm blood pumping throughout her body. She was breathing heavily as he was actually giving her a workout. Her chest was hurting from his kick, and she could feel her arm throbbing from his punch.

"His punches are heavy like Martha, yet he's using everything Elizabeth taught him," Amay thought as she felt a little blood dripping from her lip. She couldn't help but lick it up. "He's learning. Slowly at least."

Lucas quickly got to his feet and took off toward Amay. His aura moved like a candle flame as he ran at her. "I need to see something," he thought to himself. He threw a left punch at Amay, and she blocked it with her left arm again. Lucas's eyes went wide as soon as he realized it.

They stood in silence as both of them made contact with one around. Amay's red snake-like eyes look at Lucas's normal brown eyes. Her hair was a mess, while his was still the shaggy mess. Lucas looked at Amay and then down at her body and noticed something.

"You're bigger. How?" Lucas asked honestly, staring at her chest. "In fact, your whole body is bigger," he suddenly realized this.

Amay's pupils dilated as her face turned red. She quickly swept his left leg and pushed him backward. She smiled when she did all this.

Lucas could feel his head hit the soft yet hard ground as he finally realized what she had done. While he would have been mad, he stopped when his right hand held something soft but firm.

"Huh?" Lucas said as he actually gave it a soft squeeze. His eyes widened when he heard a soft moan leaving Amay's mouth. Everything came to a halt when Lucas realized what he was groping. He slowly lifted his head to see if he was mistaken. His heart nearly stopped when he saw he was touching Amay's breast, and she moaned.

"Oh my God. I am so so sorry." Lucas immediately told her and pulled his hand away from her chest. He started to ramble about not knowing and constantly apologizing until Amay put a hand over his mouth.

"Stop it. I know you didn't mean to already." Amay told him while rolling her eyes. She let out an annoyed sigh as she looked down at him. "You noticed it, didn't you?" She asked him while slowly removing her hand from his mouth.

"What do you..."Lucas's voice trailed off as he looked at her again. He then realized she looked somewhat different. She looked like herself, but not quite the same. "You...look...older? I think. When I was fighting you, I knew your punches and kicks seemed heavier, and your range had increased. From you having to get really close to you having some distance between each other." He tried to explain to her what exactly he was getting at. Lucas then heard her giggle at him.

"You are starting to pick up on it and be more aware of your surroundings," Amay said in her usual voice that Lucas knew. "I was wondering how long it will take you to realize it." She said, backing off of Lucas and standing fully up.

Lucas watched as she fully got off of him and stood up tall. He started with her feet and made his way to look at her stretch-out and tight-fitting shorts. He continued as he examined each curve and slime waist and stomach until he got to her now noticeable bust. He finally came to a stop at her face.

"Whoa..." Lucas's audible let out as he realized how beautiful she looked like this. His eyes darted away as he felt himself staring too much at her. "Sorry about that," he told her.

"This is one of the tricks I learned from my race: the ability to change their size and appearance to suit our needs. Most of us can change our appearance to get the upper hand on male targets." Amay smugly told him. "It seems to be working quite well on you." She said, eyeing something on Lucas.

Lucas closed his legs and looked away from Amay. "So is that other version your true height, or this is?" He asked, trying to change the topic.

"Sadly, this form consumes a lot of blood and takes time to manage and hold," Amay said as she exhaled air and slowly reverted to her normal size. "This is my true height. Besides all my flaws and fears, I'm happy with how I look and appear like this." She said with a soft smile as she fixed the straps for her bra.

"I see," Lucas said honestly, unsure how he felt about that. "You still are a mystery to me." Lucas thought to himself as he looked down. He then saw Amay's hand reaching to help him.

"Nothing gets done when you look at your feet. So keep your head up and keep working." Amay told him with a soft and kind voice. "Besides, you're doing really good. I'll be happy to spare with you again if you want me to." She said, smiling at him.

Lucas let out a soft chuckle as he took her hand. He then felt Amay pull him in a lot closer toward her. He was expecting a kiss, but no, she actually said something.

"If you grab my chest like that again, I will cut off your hand. Do I make myself clear?" Amay told him with a cold voice. She then placed a gentle peck on his cheek.

Lucas just stood there for a moment, scared but even more confused. He then watched as Amay smiled and skipped ahead toward the house, and he found himself smiling at her. "You make getting to know you hard," Lucas whispered.

"I know. It's more fun that way." Amay said, turning around to stick her tongue out at him playfully. "Now hurry up; I'm starving." She said, realizing her hair was more pinkish than red.
