2000

SPENCER and Liz where off to see Aunt Rachel. Liz was so excited she was finally visiting Spencer's family member.

Beforehand, she had pleaded with her boss that she won't be around on Friday. It wasn't an easy task, but one of the gift God gave her, was that of winning over a debate. She had the upper hand and won her boss's heart.

She wore a lovely gown and pearl earrings and necklace, that matched her eye color.

"You're going to see my aunt, Liz, not the president" Spencer adored her make up.

"You're aunt's the president" she retorted stubbornly and entered the vehicle.

It was a long drive but they finally reached.

It was an old house, very old. The wood deckings were almost fading. There were farm animals in several gardens. Hays, farmhouse and a little mill were behind. Cows were chewing, chickens running and birds chirping.

"Welcome to my aunt's place Liz" Greg said to her, holding her waist.

Rachel had already come out to the sound of Spencer's vehicle and was standing on her porch.

"Oh Spencer dear, alas you've paid me a visit" she cheerfully welcomed him. "You've been around town I heard, and it's like you swore not to see me"

Liz was enjoying his aunt's humor.

"...and it's like the angel of darkness as sworn to kill you if you don't come here right away" she said and Liz chuckled softly. "...and who's she?" Rachel noticed her.

"Oh. My wife, aunt. Liz meet Aunt Rachel" Spencer introduced.

Rachel frowned and walked away.

"Spencer has told me about you many a time aunt and I'm so delighted to see you in person" Liz said entering inside the house but shivered at the slight movement of something and found out it was a cat.

"Well, he hasn't told me about you, Liz" she took a glance at them; "have a sit" she said, going to the kitchen.

Liz and Spencer fought in their mind for a chair to sit on, until they found one with no clothes or food crumps on them and sat on it together.

The whole place was a dump but Liz loved it. This was the kind of place she literally dreamed to grow up in when she was small.

"Please help yourselves with some cookies and coffees" Rachel dropped them on the occupied centre table; "you'll have to manage. Sorry, I didn't make much since I didn't know my naughty nephew was visiting" she slumped on the sofa as if she hadn't sat down for days as the cat quickly rolled around her. Liz kept her eyes on the cat.

"Oh don't be a spout aunt. I've always wanted to visit you" Spencer argued.

"And what stopped you from coming?" Aunt Rachel smoothed the sofa with her hands out of habit.

"I've been busy aunt"

"Busy with Liz uhn?" Liz knew for sure that Aunt Rachel didn't like her.

"No, school aunt. I've been studying"

"And couldn't spare a day to see me?" She kept her dead stare on Liz.

"I stayed in the school. At a lodge. I could barely go outside the school gate"

Liz kept shut.

"School ehn? How's school?"

"I didn't come here to talk about school"

"Then what did you come to talk about?"

Liz was amazed at the way they barked at each other. Back at home, she couldn't even yell at her maids.

"About me"Spencer replied Aunt Rachel. He was highly irritated, this was the reason why he didn't like coming to visit Rachel.

"Um. Aunt, we came to share a good news" Liz intervened for Spencer.

"Huh huh" Rachel said.

"Um... I'm pregnant" Liz smiled.

That changed the whole mood in the room for Aunt Rachel.

"At least, if Spencer refuses to visit you, your grand children will disturb you till your overwhelmed" Liz said.

Rachel laughed not believing her ears and that brought a surprise to Spencer's face. "Liz you're pregnant for my son?" Aunt Rachel said still laughing.

"Yes aunt. Mr cat won't be lonely again 'cos he'll see someone to comb his furs now" she took the opportunity to take the cat into her arms.

"It's whiskers by the way" Aunt Rachel was overwhelmed with joy.

"Hi whiskers. Hope you're ready to see your little friend?" She patted the cat and he let out a little noise.

"Oh! He said yes aunt! He said yes!" She patted the thing joyfully.

Aunt Rachel laughed the more saying; "sure he did Liz".

Spencer was obviously jealous his discussion with Aunt Rachel didn't go like this.
