Today makes the second day that we've been together. I think the boy might also be getting used to me because now he pays attention to me. By that what I really mean is that he doesn't pretend that I'm not there, regardless it's still an improvement. Right now I'm making him breakfast. I thought he would like some wild meat and fried eggs. As he begins to scarf down the food I made him, I walk over to him and lean my head on his shoulder. He takes a quick glance at me with his usual poker face and continues eating. All of a sudden we hear engines coming close in our direction. I stand up in a defensive position and the boy just keeps eating. I wonder how much food his body can contain? The spaceship lands in front of us and the boy finally gets up. The ship opens and an older-looking man walks out.

(Jaks Pov)

I walk out and see the captain with a wide grin that could pop off his face at any second. " Yo captain so how's it going"

"Jaks you know you're late. give me your arm". He hands me his robotic arm. "Nice try the other one."

"C'mon cap give me a break it took us forever to find you."

" Don't give me excuses"

"Alright.Alright. By the way who's the pretty girl with the death glare that could burn into my soul."

"Who?... Right her she's nobody let's go."

"We taking her with us?"

"Don't be stupid just leave her."

"We can't just leave her here all alone."

"Keep it up and I'll leave you here with her."

"Alright. Sorry, little lady."

I finally stop glaring at the man when it looked like the boy was not in any danger. I don't understand what's happening, but it looks like that older man is his friend. This is great more people are here with me now. The man looks at me with a sad expression and the boy and his walk back toward the ship. My breath hitches and I begin to shake. They're leaving me.No I don't want to be alone again. I run toward the ship after them and grab onto the boy's arm trying to bring him back. He just ignores me and continues to walk. I thought we were getting along why is he leaving me?

I begin the scream at him begging him not to go and he stops walking. I smile thinking he might stay with me and he gives me the coldest stare I've ever seen him give me. And for the first time since we've met, I was afraid of him. I start to cry and slowly back away from him, shaking uncontrollably with teary eyes. He takes one step toward me and through his eyes, all I could see was the urge to kill. He takes one more step and I run as fast as I can in the other direction. Not once did I look back as I jumped over logs and madly dashed through bushes. Why?WHY? DID YOU SEND ME A POINTLESS HOPE? GOD, WHY DO YOU HATE ME?

(Erren Pov)

As I walk toward the ship the girl runs after me tugging on my arm. I try to ignore her, but my patience is quickly running out. I stop walking. I ShoUld jUst KILL hER! I don't know what came over me but I just spaced out and started walking toward her. Her face warps into fear and she runs away. When she's out of sight I regain my composer and head back inside the ship. I feel a strange feeling in my chest and I think back to the fearful look she gave me.

"Captain don't you think that was a bit too harsh. we could have just left her on a populated planet on our way to our next job."

"No way she needs to learn life is tough and bad things just happen."

"Hey, captain... You weren't really going to kill her, were you? You don't kill women or children."

I walk inside the ship and ordered one of the men to close the door.

"Let's just go"

The ship gets air born and just before they take off, the ship is hit from the side. They're surrounded by a fleet of 50 ships and are being attacked. Over in the distance, Xion stands looking at what is about to unfold.
