Tashina was the first to open her eyes and when she saw the close proximity in which they slept, red painted her cheeks deeply as she buried her face into his chest.
The little ruffle made the alpha to wake up and he smiled when he saw that she was pretending to sleep and he would admit, she was one bad actress.
Her eyelashes were blinking rapidly and the fake rhythmical breaths she let out made him burst out in laughter despite his efforts not to.
She opened one eye to see what made him laugh out loud so early in the morning but quickly closed it back when they met eyes.
"Thank God you didn't go for theatre, it would have been a massive disaster" he chuckled as he sat up, using a band to tie his long black locks.
She also sat up and cleared her throat awkwardly.
"So...we slept like that last night?" she asked without looking him in eye because she knew her cheeks must have been the shade of a fresh apple right now.
"Yeah, you fell asleep while I was reading you a bedtime story and I didn't wanted to wake you up" he got up from the bed after poking her red cheeks.
"I like it when you blush" he smiled.
"And I hate it when you poke my cheek like that. I am not a child" she glared at him.
"What you gonna do about it? Hit me?" he scoffed.
She punched his chest and gaped at him when he gave her a light punch on her arm.
"You're not supposed to hit a patient who is healing from wounds, Mr. Xavier"
"Yeah right"
"I am going to take my bath in the other bathroom. Get ready here, I will get breakfast when I'm done" he said and left the room when she gave him a nod.
She sat on the bed for a few minutes before she decided to stand up and get ready for the day.
When she stepped in the bathroom, she walked towards the mirror and was surprised at her reflection.
Tashina has been very beautiful since birth, so many people envied her beauty that even she recognized the gift that was given to her.
She was used to her skin being covered with sweat and diet because of the nature of her work in the army.
Never had her skin glowed so brightly, she even had to touch her face to confirm if she was truly the one in the mirror.
Her jade-green eyes shined with joy and comfort while her entire skin illuminated the room but still, the princess smiled sadly.
Her brother, Prince Lane, always scolded her for overworking herself. He always chased her out for work so she could rest a bit. She knew he would be so happy to see his sister all rested and happy again.
She missed him dearly and wondered if he thought she was dead by now. After all, it's been four days since she left her kingdom and they haven't heard anything from her.
She took off the oversized sweatpants and hoodie before she stepped into the bath tub and delicately scrubbed off the dirt from her body.
When she was satisfied with her cleanliness, she wrapped herself in a towel and stepped out of the tub.
Neatly folded clothes awaited her on the bed and she smiled at the scent of Mr. Xavier. Having putting on his clothes for the past days, she smelt like him and was pleased about it.
There was something about him that was so intoxicating and tempting.
She put on the pair of black shorts and tightened the rope so it wouldn't fall down before she put on the big grey T-shirt.
Delicious aroma attacked her nostrils and she quickly stood up and left the room to follow the sweet aroma and ended up at the end of the hall.
Inside the kitchen, a shirtless alpha was by the gas cooker, hitting the fry pan as though he was preparing an extraordinary meal for the entire Kingdom.
She giggled when he jumped from the hit oil and he turned around to meet his vampire by the door, laughing at him.
"I was going to bring the food to the room as usual" he stated as she entered to sit on the counter.
"Wanted to leave that mundane room for a change"
"Here" he handed her a cup of red fluid and she looked up at him with joy filled eyes.
"Is this-"
"Blood tea" he finished for her with a smile.
"How did you to prepare it?" she asked with curiosity.
"Well, I have heard of it from someone. Figured I would try it for you" he moved back to the fry pan and flipped the eggs that were shaped in a weird place.
She put the cup on her lips and savoured the liquid.
"Um..." she moaned and licked her lips.
"You like it?"
"Not as good as my usual but it's OK"
He brought the oddly shaped eggs to the counter and she sat down on a chair, sipping her tea in silence.
"How's your wound healing up?" he asked and out a a piece of egg in his mouth.
"It's OK, Feeling much better now"
"Come here, let me see" she moved and sat on the chair close to him.
He brushed his hands against her thighs and let out a heavy breath from the sensation it brought.
"Open it uo" he mumbled.
She raised her shorts and slowly took off the bandages used to cover up her wound. The mark was still visible but it wasn't as deep as before.
"Huh, looks like the blood worked its magic" he said, sounding impressed.
"I'm going out but I will be back very soon. Stay safe and don't open up another wound, will you?" he said after completing his meal.
"I won't, Mr. Xavier" she answered with slight sarcasm and he kicked her leg from under the table.
"Ouch! What was that for?" she yelped in pain.
"Hmmm.. seeing as you didn't nearly faint from that. You are healing faster now" he mused and stood up from the chair to keep his empty dishes in the sink.
She glared at him from behind and crossed her arms around her waist.
"Quit glaring, Tashina. It makes you look cute" she raised her eyebrows at him.
"Don't raise your eyebrows either. You only look sexier than you already are" he smiled when he heard her gasp from behind him.
"You irritate me" she rolled her eyes and he burst out in laughter and walked towards her.
"Oh, if you knew the way you make me feel"
