Finding A White Snowball And Determination 2

Tashina stood and began rummaging through the drawers as her tear-stained face was set in deep concentration.

"Where did he put my armor?!" she asked out loud and the little bear on the bed tilted its head as he curiously stared at her.

She cursed under her breath and quickly went towards his wardrobe, her hands hovered over the closet as she deliberated whether what she doing is the right thing or not.

Setting her mind down, she opened the closet and was instantly hit with the sweet scent of Mr. Xavier. She had to clench her fist and frown to resist burying her nose in the clothes.

The closet was filled with merely black, grey, or navy blue clothes as the Alpha wasn't a man that was fond of bright colors.

She used her long fingers to skim through the clothes before she finally found what she was looking for.

Tashina took the black hoodie and put it on after tying her hair into a ponytail. The hoodie was so long that her hands couldn't be seen and it fell into her mid-thigh.

She wasn't a short female because, in her kingdom, she surpassed a lot of women in terms of height and beauty but Mr. Xavier was just extraordinarily tall and huge.

She also took sweatpants and exchanged them with the shorts she was wearing, she took a small bag and put in food, water, and some other things that she might need on her way to find the Alpha that she was supposed to kill.

Tashina didn't forget to take the small bear with her. She put him in the pocket of the hoodie and brought his tiny face out so he could breathe with ease.

She went out of the room and stood by the stairs. This was the first time since she came here that she was to go down the stairs.

She looked at the bear in her pocket and the bear also looked at her. Somehow, she felt that the little thing was trying to tell her not to leave but she ignored the disturbing feeling in the pit of her stomach.

With determined courage, she put the hood on her high ponytail and it nearly covered her face but it was enough for her to see where she was heading.

She took a look back and suddenly all the memories of the past days came rushing into her head so fast that she had to grip the rail to stand still.

The way they fought that time when she woke up and his little finger was the weapon that made her shut up. That day when his brother came and almost killed her but he saved her and even tried to harm his brother.

The day when she was so bored that he went out despite the chilly weather and brought her a rabbit so he could see her happy again. The morning he made her blood tea, the afternoon he brought her those pink gifts, and even when she expressed her dislike for such things, he just smiled and asked what she liked.

When he brought her to the gym and they had a little spar which she won because he went easy on her. The way he was always concerned about her health, her wellbeing. How he treated her with so much care as though she was a delicate flower.

She pushed them all to the back of her head, went down the stairs and out of the tower.

When she opened the door, she was hit by strong, cold wind and she had to draw the hoodie closer to her so she could feel some warmth.

She walked down the bridge and went out without looking back at the place that kept her safe for the past days.

Confused as to where she should head to get to North-East, she first went down a direction in which she saw footsteps on the snow, and indeed, she found few other people heading towards that same direction.

She silently followed from behind while keeping her gaze downcast. She did raise a few eyebrows by her certainly not usual dressing but other than that, the princess was completely fine.

At least for now.

Tashina slightly raised her head when she saw where the people were heading to and gasped when she realized where she was.

It was the rural market in which traders and buyers come together to exchange goods for money. Despite the snowstorm of earlier, there were still a lot of people out to buy things and it was crowded up till the point that you couldn't walk two steps before you bumped into someone.

Tashina managed to pass through the bodies with her white bear who had hidden his head in her pocket because of the crowd and she headed towards a shop that sold magazines, newspapers, and daily comics.

"Yes, sir. How can I help you?" the owner of the shop amicably said with his potbelly protruding out of his faded orange shirt that one could mistake for yellow now.

"...." Tashina couldn't say a word.

He called her sir, meaning he took her for a male so how was she supposed to fake a male's voice so he wouldn't suspect that the person behind the hood is a female, not to talk of a vampire.

The shop owner raised his bushy eyebrows at the strange fella, he even discreetly sniffed the air to check if it was a werewolf.

The luck Tashina had, the clothes she wore were for a werewolf and his scent was still imprinted on those clothes which means now, in the nose of the werewolves, she was one of them.

They masked out her vampire stench and brought out a mild werewolf male smell.

"Umm.." she cleared her throat and tried to fake a male's voice.

"Do you have any idea where North-East is?" she, I mean, he asked.

Series of laughter came from around the shop, the customers in the shop, and even neighboring shops who heard the ridiculous question this young lad asked, laugh at the absurdity.

They all laughed with a mocking sound and Tashina wished for the ground to swallow her up right this moment.

"Are you serious? You're standing in North-East itself and you ask me where it is?" the shop owner mocked her.

'This is North-East?' she asked in her head.

'No wonder Mr. Xavier was aggravated when I told him about that stupid Alpha. It's because it was his kingdom's Alpha' she rolled her eyes inwardly.

"Silly me, I might have had too many shots earlier" Tashina, with her male voice, laughed nervously.

"I've been there before," said the old man while shaking his head.

Tashina looked at the magazines and her curious green eyes scanned the papers, not looking for anything in particular.

As she was about to remove her eyes and turn back, she saw something that made her frown. She picked up the paper and looked at its contents very carefully.

She tilted her head as her face was marred in confusion. Her eager hands rapidly flipped the pages as she read and took everything in.

Unable to hold it anymore, the paper fell from her hands and onto the floor as a single tear found its way out of her eyes.

She gripped a stand to hold herself as her body began to deny the bloody truth she saw in the magazine.

In the magazine, a man's face was printed on it and besides him was written, The Greatest Alpha To Ever Exist; The North-Eastern Alpha, in bold fonts.

The man who saved her, nursed her back to health and took care of her for the past five days was the very same man she was sent down to kill.

The Princess couldn't believe the irony of the situation.

Mr. Xavier was the Alpha her stepmother ordered her to kill to prove her worth to the throne.

Her breaths began to come out in uneven threads, her chest rises up and down as she tried to comprehend how possible it was.

She was supposed to kill him, get his head and take it to her kingdom so they could see what a formidable vampire she was but now, the little princess has fallen in love with the Alpha.

What a tragedy! It was as though the heavens were telling her to choose between her kingdom or the man she loved.

Something that was utterly hard and difficult for Tahsina.

When Tashina was distracted from the news she saw, three small children came running down the streets and towards her direction.

As they passed by, they accidentally bumped into her which made her lose her balance and fall backward.

All the people gathered around and the spectacle of the show was Tashina, who was on the floor with her face now exposed and her eyes downcast.

The crowd fell into hushed whispers as they all looked in wonder at the female who was dressed as a male and was also sickly pale, contrary to the Werewolves' naturally tanned skin.

Someone from the crowd sniffed the air and gasped out loud before he shouted.

"It's a vampire!!!!"
