Finding A White Snowball And Determination 1

Soft sounds of tears and sniffles resonated with ferocity around the chilly, silent room.

At a corner, sat a girl with red fiery hair flowing down her shoulders and her eyes downcast as she leaned her head on her knees.

She was putting on a black sweatshirt with loose shorts underneath, which were definitely not her size at all as they seemed to swallow her pale, smooth and lean figure.

Hot, hectic tears rushed down from her green eyes and her body shook slightly from the power of her pain.

After the argument she had with Mr. Xavier, she was left devastated, hurt, and slightly scared.

She didn't expect him to blow up on her when she told him she wanted to return to her kingdom nor did she expect him to turn into a monster without a warning right in front of her eyes so the unexpected events left quite a few trauma on her heart which made her sit in a corner of the room and cry her eyes out for the past hour.

The last time Tashina remembered she ever cried this hard was when she heard the news of her father's sudden death but since then, she always put on an impassive mask to show them all that she wasn't weak or vulnerable.

When her father died, she realized that you should never be dependent on anybody and always rely on yourself.

That's why she turned into this fierce and strong persona that people feared to even meet eyes with. Because if people were scared of her, they wouldn't approach her, and if they didn't approach her, there would be no chance to have affection and if they didn't have affection, then she wouldn't feel hurt when they left her.

But all these rules, guidelines, and restrictions she built for herself were all thrown to the gut when she met Mr. Xavier.

She relied on him so much that she started to have affection for him without her even realizing it. Without him, she felt so restless that she even injured herself the last time he wasn't around her.

The walls she built around her heart to avoid getting hurt by others had been broken by Mr. Xavier with his care, his touch, his smile, and most of all, his love.

The way he looked at her, talked to her, made her feel all tingly whenever he touched her, the small smiles he gave when she caught him staring at her, the sweet words and endearment he used to calm her raging fire down.

Everything single thing he did for the last five days they've been together made her fall into his trap and adopt a deep affection for him.

She promised herself she wouldn't fall in love, she ascertained herself she wouldn't cry over a male but look at our darling princess now.

Uncontrollable tears are spilling out of eyes just because of Mr. Xavier, a male, not to mention a werewolf for that.

She could neither stop the liquid coming out of her heart nor could she stop the pain oozing from her pores so she sat on the cold floor, letting it all rush out.

A sound came from somewhere in the room and she abruptly raised her head to locate what it was but she was too fast in lifting her head that a sharp pain rang down her skull which made her groan in pain.

Another muffled sound came again and she put her ears down to concentrate where the strange sound was coming from.

She stood up when she discovered it was coming from the window and headed towards there as slowly as she could so she wouldn't fall from the pain in her head.

Tashina hesitantly brought her head out of the window and looked outside to see what was the reason behind the noise.

She frowned when she didn't see anything but the massive snowstorm outside but as she was about to go back inside, she heard the same sound again which made her put her head outside to listen carefully this time.

Tashina later looked down at the wall of the tower from outside to see a small, white snowball stuck to the tower as though it was its lifeline.

'A snowball? Climbing the tower?' she frowned as she thought because it's not an everyday occurrence that you see a crawling snowball on a tower.

After a few more thoughts, she reached down and put her hand out from the window to get the snowball and was surprised to see it crawl on her palm and enter it as though it was waiting for her to do so ages ago.

She straightened up and pushed her head back into the room, being extra careful so she doesn't cut herself from the broken glasses on the window still with the fluffy, white ball safely on her hand.

"Koka!" Tashina jumped back a little when the snowball raised its head to reveal its deep brown eyes and its tiny voice.

She put her hand on her chest to calm it down and looked at the snowball in wonder.

"What are you?" she asked as she poked it lightly and it fell on its back, letting small cackles out of its tiny mouth from the tickle.

"Hmm....." she mused and went closer, up to the point that she could feel its soft fur on her nose.

"Are you a cat?" she asked while staring at it and the only response it gave her was a blink of its dark brown eyes.

"No, I don't think so. Maybe you're a wolf" she smiled and it just covered its face with its little paws as though it was feeling embarrassed by her childish guesses.

Tashina has never seen a white polar bear in her life because the climate in South-Mairak isn't suitable for their body so she couldn't recognize the animal in her hand.

"Oh wait, I have seen you somewhere," she said when she finally recognized the small fella.

"You're the same little wolf I met at the Borders Mountain when those bad guys attacked me, right?"

The bear lifted its head when she finally realized who he was and said "Koka!"

"Koka to you too!" she smiled like a child.

After the little bear was saved by that big wolf, he ran back to his mother and told her everything that happened. Although he got a lot of scolding for it, he still went wandering off towards the mountain, looking for Red, as he called her because of her hair.

Today was his normal payday and he wandered off towards the outskirts of the East when he saw the same huge, black beast that saved him, coming out of a window, looking very angry.

Instead of the bear to follow him, he went towards the tower so he would wait for the beast to come back after it has cooled off some steam.

But the little bear didn't know that the tower was as huge as it looked until he started climbing it. He was so scared that the harsh winds would blow him off the tower so when he managed to reach the window the beast came out from, he clutched the tower so he wouldn't fall.

What he didn't expect was for Red to reach out and pull him into the tower.

He was very happy because he missed her a lot and was also worried about her.

Just that she didn't know what animal he was...

She moved to the bed and wrapped him in her arms to warm him up a bit.

"How did you find me? You must be so cold, poor thing"

The little bear purred at her warmth.

Tashina's eyes landed on the glasses on the floor and was reminded of Mr. Xavier once more.

'I have to leave' she said in her head and stood up after putting the bear down with a new set of determination in her piercing jade-green eyes.
