"Now, let's discuss. Why have you come looking for me, Great Alpha?"
The Alpha looked at his cousin who was staring at the cave walls as though there was something intently fascinating about it and sighed.
"There is something really unbelievable happening in my life," Xavier said while looking down, making Kider raise his eyebrows because he looked to be in severe pain.
"Let me guess, a vampire showed up and she has the qualities of your mate? Ah, the mind link has also been created between you two lovebirds" Kider shined his immaculately white teeth and the brothers sated at him in shock.
"How in the Moon did you know that?!!" Ren exclaimed.
"Ah, my dear rabbit" Ren glared at him but it seemed to have no effect as the only thing Kider did was to chuckle.
"You see, sometimes when you are in love, you make things rather too obvious to others. One, your brother terribly reeks of blood tea which I believe no werewolf can be able to handle because of the overwhelming stench so it's evident he prepared it for someone else who isn't a werewolf" The Loner raised his index finger and tilted his head while his grey eyes shined despite the dim glow in the cave.
"You made blood tea for her?!" Rem stood in front of his cousin and put his hands on his hips while tilting his blonde head.
"I can't believe this, Xavier. You haven't even given me a grain of rice from your hands but you willingly prepared tea for her?!! Do I even mean anything to you?" he spoke animatedly.
"Shut up, Ren" Xavier pushed his cousin away from his view after rolling his eyes at Ren's silliness.
"Don't tell me to shut up. I have a right to speech, you can't tell when to talk!" Ren blurted with a pout while crossing his arms, sulking like a small child.
"I also noticed that your brother has been sporting a melancholy expression since he walked in and as far as I know that look is because of a girl who definitely isn't your species. Trouble in Paradise, Alpha" Kide taunted.
"You guys fought? Why? Did she try to kill you? Tell me, Xavier-" Ren started when Xavier interrupted him.
"For the Moon's sake, shut up, Ren!! Stay there for five minutes without spewing a word!" Xavier lashed out and Ren looked down with a sad face.
"Now, I want you to consult the Oracle and find out why my soul is bonded to a vampire"
"There will be no need for that" Kider said as he walked down the cave and stopped before an ancient painting.
"Pardon?" Confused, Xavier asked.
"Do you know who this man is?" Kider pointed at the aged man in the painting.
Xavier walked to where Kider was and stopped before the painting with his hands still in his pocket.
"Grendel Paise, known to chant incoherent charms that made people mysteriously fall asleep, his death was termed unknown because the manner in which he died was too suspicious and beyond science as of that time. Why do you ask?" Xavier intelligently laid out the facts he remembered from history class.
"Is that the only thing you know about him?" Kider asked, his eyes never once leaving the man who sat behind the painting.
"Pretty much" The Alpha shrugged.
"You got all that correct but there is something you missed. Grendel did have the power to make people fall asleep but he was also one of the first Exceptional in history"
"His dreams were unique from the normal dreams we have, he always dreamed about events that were going to take place thousands or even millions of years later"
"The most famous dreams of his is The Secret Of The Forbidden Love" Kider paused and looked back to take a peek at Ren who was being good and keeping his mouth shut as per his Alpha orders.
"What's that?" Xavier asked.
"Umm...The tale is one to marvel at. Take a seat, Alpha and I will narrate it all to you" Kider walked over to a corner and brought out two old, torn chairs, and gestured for the Alpha and his Beta to sit.
"The tale of the forbidden love was revealed to the first Exceptional and it was very often that it almost led to losing his sanity. In our world, where every species are in their realm, hardly interacting with one another. It is nearly impossible for two different creatures to come together and procreate an offspring of two realms but the Forbidden Love executes all of those ancient, meaningless laws" Kider narrated and the two brothers leaned forward in order to not miss a single word.
"The tale foresees that one day, one time when the heart of massive loneliness and the pain of reeking betrayal meets, their soul will be bound together for life, and no one on earth can intervene in such destiny. They will be of opposite angles but would connect as though they were perpendicular lines which were meant to cross paths and bring out a legendary love tale in the history of all five realms"
Xavier pressed his hand unto his heart and remembered those lengthy nights of loneliness where he would lay on his humongous bed all by himself, wishing and hoping for a companion to be with.
Then he also recalled the profound, excruciating grief he smelt spilling out of his vampire's injured body when he first laid his sight on her. It was excessively intoxicating that he could still sense the ache in his heart and then he brought out a wistful smile which made Kider grin a little.
"It was termed the Forbidden Love by the bystanders who heard of the story because they were outraged and astounded by the high degree of immortality behind the tale and after so many years, people believed it to be just a mere fiction but now, your heart fondly longs for a creature which is one of your arch-enemy" Kider tilted his head and stared in wonder.
"The first thing you should have done was to kill her right at the spot but something inside wouldn't just let you. You tried hard and hard but no matter what, you could never hurt even a strand of hair from her. Instead, you would rather take a silver blade and stroke right down your throat than to see her in pain, right, Alpha?" Xavier looked down without giving him an answer.
"But at the same time, you are worried about the Pack's safety, their reaction, the adamant opposition of the Council, aren't you? You wish you could just keep her all to yourself, only both of you, in your own Paradise but she doesn't understand and wants to return to where she came back from" Kider gave a smile with embellished knowledge.
"What do you think I should do?" Xavier asked.
"In my opinion, you-"
Suddenly, Xavier stood up from the chair and staggered backward while his face was contorted in immense pain as he held his arm as though he was stabbed by an invisible sword.
Kider and Ren stood up in surprise and their face held the same confused reaction as though why the abrupt change in the Alpha.
When he was finally able to stand back up, he was brought back to his knees as he held his stomach while his heavenly strike face was frowning from the pain his body was trembling from.
Ren quickly ran to Xavier and held his shoulders but was pushed away when Xavier suddenly stood up while clutching his head.
"Arghhhh!!!!!" he groaned and squeezes his eyes in pain.
Then out of the blue, a miserably, aching voice rang through his head.
"Save me..." she moaned in excruciating pain before the connection was cut off and left Xavier breathing heavily as beads of sweat ran down his forehead.
"Alpha?" Kider called.
"She's in trouble"
"I have to save her! My love is in trouble!!" He shouted and ran out of the cave without looking back.
Kider crossed his arms around his torso and scratched his chin as he appeared to be in deep thoughts.
"Can I talk now?" Ren asked and Kider chuckled while shaking his head at the silly rabbit.
"Xavier!!!!" Ren called and ran after his cousin.
"I wonder how they are blood-related.." Kider chuckled and went back into his bedroom to take a deep afternoon nap.
