Devising A Plan And Being Inquisitive

When Namere woke up the next morning, his entire body was covered in grim sweat and his muscles ached when he stood up from the ground.

He walked over to the mirror and stared at his hollow reflection, he opened his mouth and made sure he had his werewolves' fangs back before he went to take a much-needed bath.

The Forbidden has taken a toll on him and he now looked skinny and fragile, his eyes were a dull shade of green. The dark circles beneath them were ravaging.

He wondered why Tashina was being kept in the Alpha's private chamber instead of being locked up somewhere.

He knew that her presence in the Castle wouldn't be welcomed by anyone and her life would be in danger.

Does the Alpha want to have his way with her before he killed her or what?

Unable to handle that horrifying thought, he ran out of the room and up the stairs to the next floor.

When he got close to the Alpha's private chamber, he hid behind a pillar so the guards won't spot him.

He needed to find a way to get his sister out of the room so they could run away from here but he knew not what to to do.

Those guards were stuck to the door every single second of the day and it would be impossible to distract them.

Or there was a possibility that she has moved from the room to another place.

Namere races down the stairs as he searched for the familiar face.

When he found her, he strolled casually towards her so as not to raise questions.

"Good morning, Neva" He put on his most attractive tone with a charming smile.

"G-good morning, Sir Namere. By the way, my name is Nena" she said shyly as she arranged her moo into the bucket.

"Oh, pardon me. I have spoilt such a beautiful name" he chided and slowly leaned in.

"I-It's okay," she said with her red cheeks.

"I just wanted to ask. Do you know if the vampire has been moved somewhere else?" He asked cautiously.

"Oh, Sir Namere, I don't know what has gotten into the Alpha and the Beta with the General. They have seemed to have lost their minds. Could you believe that that vampire is in the royal dining room, eating breakfast with our king?" Nena scorned.

"She what?"

"Yes, you must be as shocked as I am. She was even dressed in the royal clothes we have in the closet. The Alpha specially asked Madam Evalet this morning to prepare a grand soup for the Lady Vampire" Nena rolled her eyes.

"That's-That's baffling," Namere remarked.

He doesn't know why the Alpha was giving special treatment to his sister. For him to even order special soup to be made for her, it was surprising.

He wished they didn't have an ulterior motive for treating her kindly.

"Thank you. You always help me out" He smiled.

"It's not a problem, you can always come to me for help" She smiled sweetly.

"I will take my leave now," He said and turned around to leave.

He walked down the hall and stopped right before the dining room. His eyes staring at the double doors with unsettling emotions.

He couldn't step into the room because Tashina would be alerted and she may reveal his identity. He needed to find a chance to see her in private but he was afraid that the chances for that to happen would be slim.

Namere quickly hid in the next corridor as a woman in a white dress walked towards the room. She was Meda, the Alpha's assistant. A lot of rumors have been circling the Pack that she will soon be the Pack's Luna.

When she opened the door, he scanned the room through the small opening, and there, he saw his sister.

Her lovely red hair was bright and as wavy as he remembered it. Although she had lost weight in the last days she has been away, her porcelain face still was the most beautiful face he had seen.

He was about to walk into the room before he held himself back.

Now was not the time to act rash, he needs to think about how he can see her in private and he will make sure of it.

"Namere," Someone tapped him from behind and he turned around to see it is one of the men who he hypnotized.

"Yes?"

"When are we going back to our kingdom? We've been here long enough" The man asked.

"Don't worry, we will leave soon" he pat the man on the shoulder and turned away to leave.

He had to find a way he could get his sister out of here safely. He was sure that the werewolves have a dangerous motive behind being nice to his sister.

They had to leave before they manifest their devious plans.

He couldn't wait to rub it in his mother's face that he had been right all along. His site was alive and perfectly fine, the funeral they conducted was nothing but false.

Namere walked around the castle as he tried to come up with a plan to escape from here safely with his sister.

As he was walking back to his room, he saw a familiar redhead and quickly hid behind a door. He cursed himself for not spotting her on time.

He hoped she didn't see him, if not, they would be in great trouble.

He held his breath for some minutes and made sure to not make a single sound. When he peeped into the corridor later, he saw it empty.

Namere signed in relief and went back to his room as he started to devise a strategy on how to get out of North-East.

Meanwhile, in the homeless shelter at the outskirts of North-East, Kiki and her grandmother were in the kitchen preparing breakfast when they heard a groan coming from the room.

Kiki looked at Nana and Nana looked at Kiki. They both ran to the room to see the old man fluttering his eyes open.

After several attempts, he managed to crack one eye open and he scanned the room.

"Sir, Sir? Can you hear me?" Kiki snapped her fingers in the man's face.

The old man strained to open both of his eyes and he now stared at Kiki and Nana with a stunned expression.

"What...What am I doing here?" he rubbed his head and sat up.

"Don't you remember anything?" Kiki asked and ace him a glass of water.

"I... No, it's all blurry," He squinted and drank huge gulps from the cup.

"Well, from what I know, you were hypnotized by an unknown young man and I helped you and brought you here. The doctor unhypnotized you and you have been out for the last few days" Kiki explained as slowly as she could so that all the information won't be overburdening for him.

"Hypnotized? By who?" The man asked.

"That I haven't been able to find out. Do you have anyone who would want to harm you?" Kiki inquired.

"Or did you get into a fight with someone?" Nana asked.

"No, I don't remember anything like that. The last I know was that I was on my way to the castle to deliver goods to the Alpha..."

"Wait! The goods! Where are the goods and where are my men?!" he looked around in panic.

"The man also hypnotized your men and he took the goods away"

"He what?!" Sir Orldo gaped.

"I need to inform the Alpha!" he said and threw the blanket off him.

"What?! You need to rest first, your body must be worn out" Kiki urged.

"No, there's no time for that. The Aloha goods have been stolen and that means I am in great trouble. I must go to the castle now!" He sprang up from the bed and out the room.

"Wait!" Kiki ran out to follow him when Nana caught hold of her.

"Let me go!"

"Where do you think you are going?!" Nana dragged her back inside the room.

"I need to follow him so I can catch the man that did this"

"And who are you to do that?! Have you forgotten that we are to remain silent and pretend we are dead in this kingdom? Do you want the government to find out what we are?" Nana berated.

"But..." Kiki signed.

"But nothing. You have done your part. You took care of the old man till he regained consciousness and now, he will do the rest himself" Nana proclaimed.

Kiki stomped her feet and walked back into the kitchen in annoyance.

She knew Nana was right but she doesn't know why she so badly wants to catch the hypnotizer. He has been on her head for the last few days and she couldn't stop thinking about him all day long, even when she was at work.

There was something about him that she couldn't just explain. Although she never got a glimpse of him, she can never stop thinking of his long silhouette, the dark feeling that arose from him.

She wished she could have at least find out who he was. Then she wouldn't be feeling this slight ache of unidentified curiosity in her.

She hoped that one day, she could meet him and finally, get rid of the inquisitiveness in her.

Feeling depleted, she whisked the eggs a little bit harder than needed.
