Chapter 14- Consequences

Some where in a hanger on the port side a call is received by a man in a suit.

"Yes?", the man in the suit says.

"Boss. The crimson lotus and a couple of other sites were hit last night.", a fatigued voice says.

"What? Why I am hearing it so late? Was it the Johnson family?" the man in the suit asked calmly, but beneath the calm exterior was a confused person.

Why would someone attack them, especially when they knew what would happen if they crossed them? Either it was a gang that had nothing to lose or someone with a vendetta.

"It doesn't look like it boss, the thing is.... the Crimson lotus and those other sites, they were blown up. And.....Thomas is..."

"What about Thomas? TELL ME What Happened to HIM!", the worry was present in his voice.

"He's dead boss."

On hearing this , in frustration the boss threw his phone on the ground breaking it into a million pieces.

"After all this," He shouted upon the three guys tied to a pole, waving his arms around," After all this time and after all this preparation that bastard leaves me, HE LEAVES ME at this time when I need him the most. How no, who does he think he is leaving me right now when I need him the most?"

Kicking one of the three tied up people, in the stomach, he removes his gag and looks him straights in the eye.

The man whose gag was removed and along with him the two other were, Jacob Cobblestone, Henry Cobblestone and Richard Parker. The leader of the Cobblestone gang and a politician who backed them.

What were they doing in an empty hanger all tied up?

Well, they declined the offer given to them by the man in front of them, the one who had them tied up. The leader of the Pelby Family, John Pelby.

He was no mere gangster. Grown up in a posh neighborhood, he had it all smart and strength. He was good looking and was a member of both the school chess club and the boxing club with a mean right hook gaining him the nickname the 'the iron hook'. But he had been this once before all of this, when his father Philip Pelby got into debt with the Mafia, it all changed. Their house was foreclosed, their family cast into the street and his father killed. Little John did all he could to help his family, but he saw no fit to live in this society which had cast his family aside and he vowed in the name of his dead father to destroy the mafia and most of all, to never let his family in harms way again.

So he joined one of the gangs, surviving in the street, stealing from those who stole, beating up those who owned to his boss, threating people into selling their houses at low prices which then were sold to a highest bidder.

But God's Grace it is said may fall on anyone, and it fell on the Pelby's in form of a mysterious stranger in black who promised them power, power to change destiny itself.

And he did deliver.

John Pelby returned a different man, and in no time took over the Gang he had and established the Pelby Family. Not only illegal but the Pelby family also owned a lot of the small businesses in the prefecture and also protected them from the other gangs.

But throughout all this he never forgot two things, first his mothers promise to protect his brothers and the second, the mission given to him by the mysterious stranger, the man he owed his life to.

There was a saying, if you join the Pelby's no body could touch you.

But somebody had touched them. They had touched them in the one spot that John didn't want any one to touch. He had touched his family.

After calming himself down, John turned and spoke," Mr. Cobblestone, I am sorry but it looks like I have more pressing matter."

Focusing his energy onto his hand and then onto his fingers, he formed a energy straight line of energy and with a swift clean strike, decapitated all three of them in one clean stroke.

Looking back at his handiwork, satisfied, he walked towards the door of the hanger.

Just beside the door was a man, red hair and about 5'8 in a three piece suit. A pleasant smile on his face.

"Art, Tommy's dead." John spoke to the man referring to Thomas via his nickname that only the brother used.

The man's smile dropped, he slowly walked towards John," Don't joke like that, John, Please don't joke like that."

"This ain't no joke, Art.", John said as tears welled up in his eye, "The Lotus was hit, Tommy was there. They blew the place up, they just..... blew it up."

Arthur gripped John's shirt's collar, and pulled then." Now listen here," tears in his eyes, "Now you listen here, you find who ever did this, ok? You find them and then you bring them and then you kill them, and you kill them until they and their whole family is dead."

"You're right Art, You're Right," John said as he wiped his eyes. The fire in his eyes burning bright, the fire of hatred and anger at the loss of a brother, at a broken promise.

Arthur hugged him and patted his back and the turned around and was about to open the door, when John hugged him again and whispered," Don't you go leaving me too Art."

"I never will,"

After a couple of seconds both the brothers went outside and walked towards the cars.

The sky was Grey with clouds overcast, but somehow it looked more darker than usual to John.

Walking towards the Cars waiting for them, both the brothers sat inside of each the cars. Beside, John in the car was a kid, roughly 17, wearing a black hoodie, his hair as dark as his hoodie, and in the front seat beside the driver was the hooded kid's partner, a purple hair girl with a katana in a sheath sagging by her skirt.

John sighed, as the heavens opened up.

It looked like that even the heavens were crying for Little Tommy's Death.
