Chapter-15: Relief

"Pick up the revolver," the shabbily looking man ordered the kid.

Hesitantly, the kid picked up the gun, it being too large for his small hands. Using both his hands to grip the handle of the revolver, he straightened his arms out, as if distancing himself from the weapon in his hands.

"Good," the man continued placing his arm on the boys shoulder," now aim."

In front of the kid, a light lit up in the previous dark room, illuminating a chair on which a person, a woman was tied and gagged. Her eyes teared up, and she was desperately tried to get out of the straps in which she was.

"Mrs. Kaitlin is a profligate, she tried to smuggle some of our students here and is hence sentenced to death. But in good faith we decided to give here a quick death by your hand's Arthur. She will have the honor of being the first kill of our savior, so now Arthur shoot," the man whispered to the kid.

The kid, uncertain but accepted the mans words, aimed at her head. As he slowly he pulled the trigger his mouth worded out a single sorry.

-Bang

And then all was silent.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Huaaaaaa," I yawned out loudly and rested my head with my hands, looking outside. It was warm and bright with the sky being sparsely covered, the birds and bees were out and I could see the students of some other class doing PE in the ground below.

Inside was another story though.

Everyone was tired from the PE that we all attended in the previous period and the subject being taught, Natural Sciences studies was not that interesting to people. Except to me, I loved the subject.

"..... believed that Gravity was a force, while this would work in case of Massive objects that are far apart, but it took over century for.....", a crackly old voice which spoke rapidly in shorts burst as if it was an excited kid which had just gotten his favorite candy.

This voice was of Dr. Richmond Jackhammer, our substitute natural Sciences teacher who had arrived one day prior and was now assigned to us in absence of our normal teacher, who had mysteriously vanished along with her husband- who according to my knowledge was a normal civil-rights lawyer- in the previous two days.

Previous two days. Two days, that's the time I missed out.

After 9 had burned down the building he proceeded to move and destroy the any place listed in my memory related to the Pelby family. The result, about 5 buildings burned and were destroyed, about 50-60 people died and only one of the Pelby family was dead.

More than an act of wanton destruction, it served as a warning, a warning that someone had come to destroy the Pelby family and that they would stop at nothing until the Pelby family was six-feet under.

Six-feet under, huh, six.

My lucky number.

"Mr. Narsius? Mr. Narsius?" My thoughts were broken by the crackly voice.

"Huh? Yes?" I said standing up, a couple of students laughing in the background.

"Please Pay attention in the class, Mr. Narsius," Richmond's eyes narrowed a little," Even if you know everything already," he whispered the last part.

"Sorry sir,"

Sitting down and sighing, I tried to focus on the lecture but myself slipping away time and time again, something about his voice was familiar, and irritating.

"This class isn't the same as Mrs. Jess's, isn't it?" Rex, sitting next to me spoke up in a hushed whisper.

"Rex, shut up and let me concentrate on the class."

"She had nice curves that woman, I tell you. And Kind, was one of the kindest teacher in this school," he said nodding to himself, turning to me," So why were you absent for the last two days? I tried to call you but I really didn't have your number."

"I was sick, but I am fine now," I said before I could stop myself.

"Must have been a very bad sickness if both you and Riko were absent for two days," a grin on his face," As a friend tell me where you both were, love bird."

Arsehole.

"A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell mate,"

"Mr. Narsius. Out of the class, now." Mr. Richmond shouted, at us pointing with his right hand towards the door.

Grudgingly, I stared at my Rex as I stood up my seat and walked towards the door.

"Mr. Bellum? You too."

My slow pace stopped as grin formed on my face.

After a couple of seconds, I heard the door open and through it emerged Rex Bellum.

"Ah, Mr. Bellum, Welcome to the outside of the class. Sorry but but we don't serve refreshments here," I said as a grin appeared on my face that stretched from my ear to ear.

"Oh, shut up", he said as he laughed.

For the next half an hour, we both talked about various things,

"Yea yea, you're the great Rex Bellum," I said as I faked a bow to him. We had been taking about his various billionaire adventure with Jess, the usual.

Rex laughed but suddenly stopped," You know, I told you a lot about myself but I don't even know anything about apart from your name."

The smile on my face suddenly vanished, I moved back and leaned at the wall beside him, a sigh escaping from my mouth.

"You know, I have just known you for 3 days. 3 days, yet you are willing to tell me all about your life. And moreover you expect me to tell you the same." staring directly in his eyes I continued,

"You don't really have many friends do you?" I asked Rex,

"People say....that I came too hard, that I am awkward. Apart from that being the sole heir of Bellum corporation....it doesn't help anymore," he said ruffling his hair, his face, looking down, red from embarrassment.

"They say the truth then, but hey, who need friends yea?", I extended my fist towards," From one outcast to another."

He slowly looked up, a small smile coming on his face as he nodded. He raised his hands and gave me a light fist bump.

"Okay, I'll tell ya, I'll tell ya everything."
