(The Sendero family exits through the front door and stands in front of the entrance door to the "Carlson" house)

"Madeline"-bye mom, see you later

(Grandma Mel hugs her daughter Madeline, her son-in-law Paul, and her grandson Jack)

Grandma Mel-goodbye daughter I'll see you later, bye Jack, Paul sweetheart take care

(Grandma Mel walks to her car)

"Madeline"-We thank you very much for visiting us Darlen, I hope it's not the only occasion and you keep coming to visit us, you are welcome whenever you want

(Madeline hugs her sister Darlen from her)

"Darlen"-you're welcome Madeline, thank you very much for welcoming us in your house and sharing your visits with us, you are also welcome at my farm when you want to visit us we will be there, well we have to go, bye everyone

(Darlen waves bye-bye and turns to walk with her children to the truck)

"Jacksell"-goodbye Darrell, Margoret next time I'll go with you to the beet farm, when the next vacation is at my school in August

"Darrell"-of course Jack, see you later

(Margoret and Darrell wave goodbye to Jacksell and their uncles Madeline and Paul)

"Darrell"-bye uncle, aunt

"Margoret"-bye uncle Paul, aunt Madeline bye

(Paul, Madeline and their son Jacksell wave goodbye)

"Paul"-goodbye children, ¡do not forget to come for Christmas!, we will make turkey

"Madeline"-mom, ¡I'll call you at 1 to make sure you've arrived safely! Goodbye, kids, ¡take care!

(Grandma Mel gets in her car and pulls the lever to open the trunk, Darlen gets in the passenger seat, then the boys Margoret and Darrell put their backpacks in the trunk)

"Darlen"-mom ¿what are you doing in the pilot's seat?

Grandma Mel-you drove all the way here, now I want to drive back.

(The children close the trunk, get in the car and close their doors)

"Darlen"-okay mom but go slow and careful, ¿okay?

Grandma Mel-yes don't worry daughter, ¿is everyone ready?

"Margoret","Darrell"-yes

(Grandma Mel turns to the back seats)

"Darlen"-it's all set

(Grandma Mel fixes her gaze on the street and starts the car)

(The car starts and drives down the neighborhood street)

(1 hour 10 minutes after road trip)

10:20AM

Grandma Mel-¿remember when we went to eat at that pizza restaurant in "Celsantina"?

"Darlen"-yes mom, when my father took us to games of chance and we won many tickets, it was one of the best moments of my childhood

Grandma Mel-yes, but I was talking about the restaurant, not about your father, that man doesn't even deserve to be mentioned

"Darrell"-eh right

(several seconds later)

"Darrell"-we have never heard from our grandfather mom, ¿what happened to him?, ¿where is he?

Grandma Mel-that man does not exist for us children, I thought I told you that he would not mention "him"

"Margoret"-¿but why grandmother?

Grandma Mel-kids, grandpa doesn't exist full stop

(everyone is silent for a few minutes)

"Darlen"-I have few memories of my father, but I have not forgotten any of them, my father gave me and my sisters the best childhood we could have had, and although he is no longer here I have nothing in debt with him, I wish we could have lived more with him now as adults

Grandma Mel-your father, ah that man we shouldn't even be talking about him right now, he's an irresponsible and lowlife let's not talk about him anymore please, he doesn't exist it's over; Let's change the subject kids, ¿how about we go to Carrell BCMart and buy those delicious white chocolate chunk donuts?

"Darrell"-yes yes grandma

"Margoret"-yes please grandma

(Darrell and Margoret look excited)

Grandma Mel-well said hahah, ¿what about you Darlen?, ¿do you want a nice chocolate donut?

(Darlen serious with a little teary eyes looks towards the road)

Grandma Mel-¿Darlen?

"Darlen"-yes mom why not

Grandma Mel-well said we'll go for the donuts then and in a while we'll go to "FoodNation" for some pizzas, ¿do you want pizza?

"Darrell"-¡yeah lol!

"Margoret"-so good
