"Welcome to the family."

14 hours later, Illinois State

Aldren drove his slick black 1958 Chevy Impala, eyes bouncing off the big white and green sign on the side of the road saying 'Welcome to Illinois' the land of Lincoln.'

He was approximately 20 minutes away from their Villa in Rockford.

His 'wife' was sitting next to him in the passenger seat, unconscious. Her platinum blonde hair draped like a curtain over her face. He had dosed her with wolfbane half a day ago and had readministered another dose a few hours back. He'd hate it if she got away from him; he had made up his mind after all. She will mother his children; together, they can build the ultimate army. And finally, he could destroy the Congregation.

He slowed down towards the large metal gates of the 1.75-acre estate, and in the distance, he could get a glimpse of the 13,900 sqft monochromatic style Tudor mansion. The main house highlights a side-gable slate roof with two front-gable pavilions projecting from both north and south facades, which combine with dormer styles.

A stone Porte Cochere shelters the home's grand entrance and complements its fine stucco, dark stained wood, and coursed stone finish. The Mansion was the definition of grandeur, comprising 20 rooms, a grand ballroom, a music room with organ pipes, and an extensive mahogany library.

He parked his car in front of the main house, got off his seat, walked towards the passenger seat, and opened the door. He removed the seatbelt on her and easily lifted her in his arms.

He entered the massive double doors and walked through the magnificent hallways. A few of his people greeted him, of which he simply nodded in acknowledgement. He made his way towards the common room, earning the attention of his pack. He laid the platinum blonde on the velvet coloured divan.

And he looked at the redhead in the room, "Look what I brought, sister." he said excitedly.

Lilith, who was sitting on the counter of a built-in bar in the room, looked at him with a glass of whiskey in her manicured hand.

"Food?" She said, grinning at him. Aldren chuckled in response, shaking his head softly.

"No sister, I brought a wife. MY wife," he said, with a shit-eating grin on his chiselled face.

Blake, who was sitting on the sofa, chuckled while the redhead jumped off the marbled counter and walked towards the blonde on the divan. Her blue eyes narrowed at the unconscious woman.

Aldren watched his sister in the corner of his eyes as he swiftly poured himself a drink from the built-in bar.

Lilith moved a piece of blonde hair out of her sleeping face with the tips of her fingers, her blue eyes narrowed dangerously at her face and her lips pursed in disdain. She turned to her brother, her left brow arched, a hand on the side of her waist, "She's not much of a looker, is she?" she claimed.

Her statement caused the two men to chuckle, amused. The girl was beautiful, but Lilith would never admit that. To her, she's the prettiest woman in the room. Always. And if she weren't, then she'd just have to snap their neck, and the problem solved

"So can I have her?" she continued, wanting to fix the order in the world.

Aldren sighed, his eyes trained on his sisters.

"I told you, she's my wife," he said.

Lilith rolled her eyes at him, "Don't joke around with me, Al." she said, starting to get pissed at his little joke.

The brunet slowly made his way to his spot, the upholstered high back maroon armchair. His little throne in the common room.

"I realized it's about time for me to settle down, after all these centuries," he said, in good humour as he sat, leaning comfortably.

Blake chuckled, leaning forward and said, "what's Mrs. Abomination's name?" While Lilith shot both men a glare.

A chuckle passed Aldren's lips, crossing his long legs, and said, "Funny story really, the moment I laid eyes on her I knew it was love at first sight. I didn't have the chance to ask. I just had to have her" he joked, and all the three of them laughed. Aldren knew that his two trusted people weren't taking him seriously, and he couldn't blame them.

Blake's green eyes turned to him suddenly, "So, what happened with your hybrid hunt?" he asked, curious. Aldren's eyes widened in glee, and his lips stretched into a wide grin. "Oh, yes! That's the best part, Blake." he started, catching the two's attention.

"What happened was, the hybrid wasn't actually a 'he' but a 'She.'" he explained, gesturing to the sleeping blonde on the divan.

Blake and Lilith's brow furrowed, and they exchanged looks. Disbelief was evident in their eyes.

The redhead pointed at the woman on the divan, "You're saying she's the hybrid?" she asked for confirmation, gobsmacked at the information. A female hybrid, and a witch at that. Impossible!

The smile on his lips was enough to convince the two that he was serious, "Yes, and we're going to have hybrid babies. Isn't that exciting?" Aldren claimed, causing Blake to grimace at the mental image of Aldren as a father, more so, a husband? On the other hand, Lilith balled her hands, "Are you serious, Al?!... This girl-- is the hybrid?"

"I am." the brunet chuckled. He looked at the face of the blonde in wonder, "amusing isn't it? That girl is one hell of a witch! She put up a hell of a fight. I've never been impressed." he continued, proudly.

Blake gazed at his 'master,' noticing his blood-stained and ripped shirt. "I can see that," he said, gesturing to his shirt.

.....

'Ouch' Was Violet's first thought, the moment she stirred. Her violet eyes first saw the alarming shade of red, and she wondered for a second was she bleeding? Until her eyes started to focus, and she realized that the red wasn't blood. Waking yet again in a place she didn't know brought back bad memories from her past. And this time, unlike the last time, her head throbbed, and everything to her was spinning.

Violet tore her eyes off the red and shifted to look somewhere else. There she saw standing above her, looking down was a woman with crimson hair. The woman seemed to be talking, her mouth opening, but Violet couldn't hear what she was trying to say. Her senses muddled, and the only thing she could hear was her blood coursing through her veins and her heart pounding against her temples. Her brain still couldn't keep up with her body.

Something moved beside the redheaded woman, Violet noticed. And a familiar face greeted her with a smile, "Hello, darling." he said, a glass of liquor in his grasp. She scowled up at him in clear annoyance, causing a masculine chuckle echo in the corner of the room. aThe Blonde turned to the source and saw a man with green eyes smiling down at her.

'Vampires,' the voice in her head said.

She raised her head and forced herself to sit properly, holding her still throbbing head. She turned to look at the brunet, "where the heck am I?" "Land of Lincoln, darling." He answered, crouching down beside her. "What's your name?" he asked, curious, and she shot him a glare in response.

He rolled his eyes at her, with the corner of his lips curling at her reaction. "Never mind," he said as he stood up and pulled her up with him by her arm. Then swiftly before she even realized what he was doing, he had taken her wallet from her back pocket.

"Hey!" the blonde shouted at him, reaching to grab her wallet back. But he simply just walked away, heading to the built-in bar and pouring himself another drink.

"Violet Hamilton." He said, reading her driver's license out loud. Lilith scoffed in her spot, her blue eyes over Violet from head to toe, "Your parents must have a sense of humor," she said. "Lilith, Blake, this is my wife, Violet," Aldren said, catching everyone's attention.

"Violet, darling. This is my sister Lilith and my right-hand man, Blake." he continued, gesturing to the redhead and the blond man.

Violet narrowed her eyes at the two, her senses slowly returning, and she can smell the suffocating scent of death in them.

Vampires.

Blake sent her a smile, "Welcome to the family." he said.
