SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Minerva slowly explained everything to young harry and asked if he would like to visit the Alley tomorrow so that he could buy his school supplies but harry replied that he did not have money to pay for anything to which she made him understand that his parents had not left him without any support. Harry seemed surprised but still told her that he did not yet to wish to go and if it would be alright for her to provide him with the things on the list.

She tried to make him understand that it was okay to travel out but seeing the hesitation on his face she understood that the trauma by his relatives was greater then she thought. After agreeing to get him his supplies she asked for harry to describe his living conditions, she had at least hoped that even if they were negligent in their upbringing they would at least provide the basics to their own blood, but boy was she wrong.

Harry truthfully explained his daily routine as well showed her the cupboard under the stairs which was his room. Minerva nearly flipped out, then immobilised his uncle and informed him that this stops now and he should never try to again do something even remotely close as she had enough power to make sure none of them ever moved a inch. She moved towards Harry and informed him to relax as from today onwards he has no need to do someone else's work and that he should only focus on attending Hogwarts as that will be his home from this year and when he returns he will be left to his own devices without being bothered by his relatives.

She proceeded to hand him his ticket for the train that will leave on the 1st of september from platform 9 3/4. She had provided him with some muggle money to buy some proper clothes and to handle his future food while also giving a bit of galleons to help him in the magical community. She informed him that she will return the following weekend and take him to get his wand as that was the one thing no one else could get for him. Harry politely thanked her and wished her goodbye.

It was only after she left that the bind on the Dudley's was lifted. The atmosphere was tense, everyone of them looked at me with fear and my uncle announced that I could have the second bedroom upstairs but to never disturb them again. After seeing the anger on the witch's face he was sure that if they continued their abuse on harry she will most definitely make sure to complete her threat, so he decided to distance himself from the boy.

Hermione and her parents had just arrived at Tom's bar alongside the professor and were now looking with awe on their faces as the professor tapped on the brick wall revealing a extremely vibrant shopping district where everyone was dressed in a similar fashion as the professor and it was them that looked out of place in their muggle clothing. They entered the alley while curiously observing their surroundings.

Every now and then they would see some weird things that was a complete mystery to them. The professor then informed them that the first thing they would require is to exchange their muggle currency to that of the wizarding world and lead them towards a building made of white marble sitting in the middle of the alley dividing it into two. As they entered the building they saw the creatures and instead of being overly curious they followed the professor as she lead them to a teller to exchange the currencies.

The head teller naturally noticed Hermione and subtly gave a knowing smile when she looked in his direction, the teller exchanging the currency noticed the interaction and suddenly gave up on the plan to shorthand this particular group. After completing it they moved out.

The grangers then looked at the professor as if waiting for an explanation, to which she responded by saying that there were goblins and all the wizarding currency is regulated by them and that one should not talk to them unnecessarily. She also informed them that they could only exchange for currencies as having an account required one to have a house to his name or be officially employed in the magical community.

Professor then left them along with the ticket for hermione for the Hogwart express. The Grangers spent rest of the day exploring the alley and getting all the school supplies along with some additional books. As they were reaching the end of their trip they made their way into Ollivanders to get Hermione's wand. The wand that selected her was just like last time , ie. 10¾" long, made of vine wood, and possessed a dragon heartstring core.

The grangers before returning enquired about vaccinations and after much search came to know that muggle borns were to go to the ministry where along with registry they would be administered the shots of vaccination. As there was still time before dinner they made their way towards the ministry through a floo network in the ministry embassy in the alley and completed the required procedure. The ministry employee was very surprised about the fact a new muggle witch had enough sense to ask for these procedures. The Grangers then returned back.

The next weekend the professor arrived at the dudley's to see a relaxed harry in the room on the first floor reading the books she had brought him. She called him downstairs and took him to Ollivander's directly through apparition after taking his consent. It seemed that he was still not comfortable with a crowd.

The scene in Ollivander's went exactly identical to when he had visited in the previous time line with him finally resonating with the sister wand of tom and Garrick explaining it in his famous words "I remember every wand I've ever sold, Mr Potter. Every single wand. It so happens that the phoenix whose tail feather is in your wand, gave another feather — just one other. It is very curious indeed that you should be destined for this wand when its brother — why, its brother gave you that scar."

Unlike my previous life I did not ask for details and just pretended to not hear while fully engrossed in my new wand. We paid and returned back to my room. Professor reminded me to reach at the station promptly on time and that she wished me all the best and that they would now meet at hogwarts. I sighed thinking that everything was going to begin once again and proceeded to sleep.
