Walk

In the morning, everyone is up early to start walking. "Am I going too?" Madi asks me. "Yes, you can't be the only one here. But I will keep you safe I promise." I say. Madi hugs me. I hug her back tightly. Lexa spots us, and walks over. Madi runs up to her to hug her. Lexa smiles and picks her up for a hug. "I love you both." Madi says. Lexa and I both look at her. "I love you too Madi." I say. "I love you too." Lexa says after me to her. I'm so happy that she's able to say it to not only me, but to Madi too. "It's time." Lexa says. I nod, and we gather everyone together and start the long walk. Everyone has weapons, so we will be able to win this fight. I hope. They have better guns then us, and more of them. But we do have more people.

We walk for about six hours before a food break. Everyone sits down, and we eat small portions, knowing we have to save some more for the morning. "What will we do once we win?" Lexa asks me. I'm glad that she is positive we'll win. "We can live on that land and grow crops. Maybe we can even build houses. We can live in peace." I say. Lexa smiles. "That would be nice." She says. "Hopefully the rest of the world will get back to normal so we all don't have to stay in that one area." I say. Lexa nods. I see everyone talking and having fun. I hope that too many people don't die. I even see Indra laughing with her daughter, which is an unusual sight to see for Indra. My mom is eating with Madi, and it looks like they got close.

When we start walking again, Madi is immediately by my side, and so is Lexa. We walk until nightfall, and we set up tents to sleep in. Lexa goes into our tent once everyone is already asleep. "Wanna take a walk?" She says. "We've walked all day." I joke. "It's a short one." She replies. Lexa brings me over to an area with rocks to sit on to observe the beautiful night sky. "I want to tell you something, before tomorrow." She says. I let her continue. "I love you so much Clarke. I'm so glad that you came into my life and changed it for the better. And thank you, for always being here, and forgiving me. For giving me another chance. I'll always love you and Madi." She says. I smile at her words. "We're not going to die tomorrow." I say, now I'm being the one that's hopeful. "I hope so." She quietly says. We kiss under the moonlight, and we head back into our tent. We take each other's clothes off, and I feel the warmth and comfort of her with me. She kisses me gently, and our kisses get faster. "I want you." She says. I smile as she gets on top of me, and before I know it I'm awake in her arms in the morning.

"Hey." I say softly. She wakes up and smiles brightly. "Hey Clarke." She says my name as if she can't believe it herself. And I can't either. I still can't wrap my head around Lexa being mine, and me being hers. We get up and get dressed, even though all we want to do is say in our tent forever. My mom walks over to us with supplies, and Madi follows behind her. My mom whispers something to Lexa and I, so Madi can't hear it. "I heard you guys last night. You have to quiet down, I was trying to sleep." She jokes. My cheeks immediately turn red, and I see Lexa smirking. "Time to go!" Lexa yells, and wakes everyone up. Everyone eats some food and they all pack up. We all start the other half of the long walk.
