The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith
Attic…
Sarah Jane is looking very smart and Jared is wearing his winter wonderland hoodie. Luke is doing his homework. Ruby is playing video games with Jaune on their Scrolls.
"See you later, then." Sarah Jane said.
"See ya, Ruby, Jaune, and Luke." Jared said.
"Yeah, see you, Mum, Jared, have a good evening." Luke said.
"Have fun." Ruby said.
"Bye." Jaune said.
"Have a nice night you guys." Jared said.
"You too." Ruby said.
"Be safe." Jaune said.
"You too. Bye, K9." Sarah Jane said.
"Enjoy your evening, Mistress, Master." K9 said.
Sarah Jane and Jared leave.
"Mister Smith, I need you quickly and quietly." Ruby said.
"Quickly and quietly." Mr Smith said.
No big fanfare.
Jaune makes a phone call, "They're off again."
Bannerman Road…
Sarah Jane drives away with Jared in the shotgun seat. Rani, Clyde, Ren, and Nora come out of hiding.
"Right. We're coming over." Rani said.
"What are they up to?" Clyde asked.
Attic…
"How can I help you, Ruby?" Mr Smith asked.
"Um, turn on the GPS. Through the satellite system." Ruby said.
A blue device blinking in the wheel arch.
"So, what was their story this time?" Ren asked.
"They say they're going to a meeting at the Town Hall about a motorway extension." Luke said.
"Mistress's exact words. You never know, Luke, there could be a story in it." K9 said.
"Were there any monsters nearby? For us to crush them. I mean, for him to call Magical Girls to defeat the Witches?" Nora asked.
"There were no Witches in the vicinity." Mr Smith said. "And no Noise either."
"Their excuses are getting lamer and lamer." Clyde said.
"Affirmative. Veracity level twelve percent." K9 said.
"Why are they lying to us?" Jaune asked.
"They're heading into town." Ruby said.
"Query. Am I to understand you are using my tracking system to spy on Sarah Jane and Jared?" Mr Smith asked.
"It's the fifth time they've done this in a month, Mister Smith. We've got to find out what they're really doing." Rani said.
"They go off on their own, all mysterious. What if they get in trouble?" Clyde asked.
"This is highly irregular behaviour." Mr Smith said.
"Gah, we didn't ask for your opinion." Ruby said. "We're just worried about them."
"Mistress Ruby is correct. Do not exceed your function, Mister Smith. Your opinion has not been asked for." K9 said.
"That told you. Nice rebuttal Ruby. And good dog." Clyde said.
"Affirmative, Master Clyde."
"They've stopped."
"Nowhere near the Town Hall." Luke said.
"There, they were lying. Knew it." Rani said.
Car…
Sarah Jane is about to put on some lipstick, but has the wrong one.
Jared has his headphones on to listen to one of his favorite songs, "Sarah, wrong one. This is our double date session as always. You'll be with your man and I'll be with my Impossible Girl."
"Fair point." Sarah Jane said, putting on the right lipstick. "Whoa. Must stop doing that. Right. Come on. Double date."
Attic…
"Scan for alien activity in that area, K9." Clyde said.
"Negative for alien activity, Master Clyde." K9 said.
"I am perfectly able to complete that function, Clyde. There's no need to consult the dog." Mr Smith said.
"Sticks and stones."
"So, what do we do? We just follow them there?" Ren asked.
"Come on. Two minutes to the next bus." Luke said.
"And you two, play nicely." Clyde said.
Luke, Rani, Clyde, and Team RNJR leave.
"Play nicely. Instruction to human children. Conduct recreation in socially compatible mode." K9 said.
"Oh, be quiet." Mr Smith said.
Morris Road…
"There's the car, but where's Mum and Jared?" Luke asked.
"No sign of any aliens either." Rani said.
Clyde suddenly jumps back and flattens himself against an Estate Agents doorway, "I did not just see that. Careful!"
They peer into a restaurant to see Sarah Jane sitting at a table with a man and Jared is sitting at a table with a woman.
Restaurant…
"Clara, you're heaps of trouble in my life, you know that!" Jared said, placing his hand on top of Clara's.
"Oh, shut up. Of course I know that." Clara said, moving in closer to be with Jared. "Sarah Jane, Peter, you two doing alright?"
"Yeah." Sarah Jane said.
"We are." Peter said.
Morris Road…
"Oh, my God." Rani said.
"Jared, he's got a girl…" Nora said.
"Yeah. I know. He's got a girlfriend. And Sarah Jane. She's got a boyfriend." Ruby said.
"Why did he make the first move with a girl when I couldn't with Pyrrha?" Jaune asked.
"Oh, no, they're not gonna." Clyde said.
"Nora, shield your eyes! You don't want to see old people kissing!" Ren said, placing his hand in front of Nora's face.
The man leans over and kisses Sarah Jane and the woman leans over to kiss Jared.
"Oh, people are eating." Clyde said.
"Is that the TARDIS?" Ren asked, hearing a noise just like the Tardis engines.
"I think so." Ruby said.
They walk away across the road.
"Wow. Just wow." Rani said.
"Nobody over 22 should be doing that in public actually at all." Clyde said.
"Shut up, Clyde. Oh, that's brilliant, Sarah Jane's got herself a man and Jared's got himself a woman."
"What are we gonna say?" Jaune asked.
"We're not gonna say anything, okay?" Ruby asked.
"Ruby's right, we don't have to. They want it kept a secret, so we never saw that and we don't know. Yeah? Luke?" Rani asked.
"Yeah. And we thought they were hunting aliens." Luke said.
Attic…
"He looked really posh. I bet he's called Henry or…" Clyde said.
Footsteps on the stairs.
"They're coming." Ruby said.
Sarah Jane and Jared enter.
"The hell are you all doing up here?" Jared asked. "I thought I asked Ren to be with Clyde's mom. And Nora to be with Rani's mom."
"Well, the exams are coming up, so we've got to work." Clyde said.
"Luke's helping us revise." Rani said.
"And I'm thinking whether or not to cook some pancakes." Ren said. "Whether it be British style or American style."
"I want American style." Nora said.
"American style it is."
"Did you two have a good evening?" Jaune asked.
"Yeah, how was the, er meeting?" Ruby asked.
"Nothing special happened. It was just a meeting. Wait, why is Mister Smith still out?" Jared asked. "That doesn't add up at all."
"Information. Sarah Jane's car is now parked outside the house." Mr Smith said.
"What? Mister Smith." Sarah Jane said.
"Oh, hello, Sarah Jane, I have been tracking your position as instructed by Ruby."
"Gah! You did that on purpose!" Ruby said, annoyed.
"K9, be a good dog and tell me what they were doing?" Jared asked, crouching down next to K9. "Because I gave my Impossible Girl some amazing gifts tonight. She gave me some nice stuff in return too."
"I have been instructed to withhold information." K9 said.
"What did they instruct you to really do?"
"Master Jaune instructed me not to relay the information that you were followed to your assignation." K9 said.
"Why did you say that?" Jaune asked. "Why?"
"You've been spying on us?" Sarah Jane asked.
"We were worried. When you've kept something secret before, it's always been a disaster." Luke said.
"Like, you kept information from us when we were heading to Anima. We're almost there too." Ruby said. "You didn't want to tell me about Penny's death."
"And you didn't want to tell me about Pyrrha wanting to become the Fall Maiden." Jaune said.
"You didn't want to tell me about Blake leaving."
"I know, and I'm sorry for that." Jared said, letting out some tears. "I trust you guys, Team RNJR way too much. But that doesn't give you guys the right to eavesdrop on me and Sarah. We were gonna tell you guys anyway."
"So who's the lucky fellow, then?" Clyde asked.
"His name is Peter Dalton. And yes, he's very lucky, and rather marvellous." Sarah Jane said.
"Ooo. Where did you meet him?" Rani asked.
"And who's the lucky girl?" Ruby asked. "Is she cute?"
"She's impossible. She's my Impossible Girl. Her name is Clara Oswald. Clara Oswald for the Win. Oswin. She's lucky to have met me, I didn't know when I would meet her. I didn't expect it to be years early. She's awesome, and I love her." Jared said, placing one hand of his over the other. "I was supposed to meet her after Victorian London. But that's spoilers for us."
"Oh no, that's all. And Jared rambled on for a while. End of discussion. You two, home. Ren, Nora, keep them safe, will you? Luke, bed, I'll be in to say good night." Sarah Jane said.
"Ruby, Jaune, sleep in the guest bedroom. I'll be there in a couple." Jared said, looking at two of his closest friends.
"Go on. Off! Off!"
"Sweet dreams." Clyde said.
The teenagers leave.
"We should be angry. Why are we not angry?" Sarah Jane asked.
"I don't know, Sarah. I love having adventures. I do. But this, this is different. K9?" Jared asked.
"Master, Mistress, I detect the both of you are experiencing heightened emotional states. Alpha waves high, heartbeat fast, increased serotonin." K9 said.
"K9, always the romantic." Sarah Jane said.
"Affirmative."
Guest bedroom…
Jared knocked one the door and entered, he climbed into the lower bunk of the bunk bed. While Ruby is on the upper bunk of the bed. Jaune is on a normal half bed.
"Ruby, Jaune, I was gonna tell the both of you."
"You were?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah. I was. I just, I just didn't know how to tell the two of you. We've been through so much together. From Beacon."
"All the way to now, yeah." Jaune said. "We know. So, how did you meet Clara?"
"You mean on TV? Or here?" Jared asked.
"Here."
"Well, I was in the middle of a talk with Asuna. In ALO. Kirito and the others entered the log cabin. And then, Clara appeared." Jared said, smiling. "She has your height, Ruby."
"Five foot, one inch in crime, huh." Ruby said.
"Another thing, she has saved my life so many times. Or I will get to experience that myself."
��Wait, saves you? How could she save you?" Jaune asked.
"That's spoilers. I don't know if we will ever reach Trenzalore. I know for a fact that Clara has no heartbeat. Which means…"
"What?" Ruby asked.
"It's hard to tell you guys how I'm really feeling." Jared said, lying down on the pillow. "About me saving people. Helping others. Wanting to become a huntsman. And traveling across time and space."
"We've been here together. Since you first saw us."
"You didn't choose us." Jaune said. "Us wanting to come and help you cope with all this."
"We chose you." Ruby said.
"I do want to have you guys meet Clara." Jared said, happily. "At some point. She's someone you two could get along with. Just give it some time. And you'll meet her properly. Night."
"Night." Ruby said.
"Night." Jaune said.
Jared turned off the light and he fell asleep. The sound of stuttering time rotors again.
Three days later…
The postman parks up outside the house.
"So, what are we supposed to do?" Ruby asked.
"Oh, you be yourself, Little Red." Jared said, happily.
"We never met Clara before." Jaune said. "What is she like?"
"She's pretty much my equal."
"How? I thought I was your equal." Ruby said.
"You are. But you're family now. You, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Jaune, Ren, Nora, Penny, and Qrow are family to me." Jared said. "Even Pyrrha."
"Guys, we got to go." Jaune said.
"Right." Ruby said.
Outside Sarah Jane's home…
Sarah Jane is signing for a large box. Clyde walks past as Rani looks out her front door.
"So, what did Jared say Clara is like?" Nora asked. "Is she hot?"
"Oh, that she's impossible. And that they're made for each other." Ruby said.
"An impossible girl?" Jaune asked.
"How can a girl be impossible?" Ren asked.
"That's what I want to find out too." Nora said.
"Thanks." Sarah Jane said.
The postman leaves. Then Peter arrives in his nice shiny convertible Mercedes Benz and Clara arrives on her motorcycle.
"Oh, hi, Sarah Jane. Is that your new man?" Clyde asked.
"What are you doing here?" Sarah Jane asked.
"Er, well…" Rani said.
"Hello, Clara." Jared said, running up to Clara for a hug. "My Impossible Girl. How are you?"
"Good." Clara said, removing her motorcycle helmet. "How's things?"
"Oh. Nothing much."
Then the box in Sarah Jane's arms leaps and makes strange noises.
"Hello, there! These are for you." Peter said, giving Sarah Jane a dozen red roses.
"Oh. Thank you." Sarah Jane said.
"Everything all right?"
"Oh, thanks for looking after that for me." Rani said, taking the box from Sarah Jane. "Come on, Clyde, Ren, and Nora."
"Hello." Clyde said.
���Oh, Peter, they're lovely. Thank you." Sarah Jane said.
"Are you sure everything's all right?" Peter asked.
"Yes. Oh, they're beautiful." Sarah Jane said.
"Clara, let's do a gift swap." Jared said, tossing Clara a box, and she tossed him one. "Ooo, what did you get me?"
"Open it and see." Clara said, smiling.
Jared opened the box to see a photo album of him and his friends together, "Wait, why are there people missing?"
"Oh, those are people you haven't met yet. Perception filter. They'll be revealed when you actually meet them."
"Oh…"
"Whatcha got there?" Ruby asked.
"Photo album."
"A photo album…" Jaune said.
Rani, Clyde, Ren and Nora go over to her house.
Gita is at the door, "Is that Sarah's man and Jared's girl arriving?"
"Mum, have you got no shame?" Rani asked.
"Well, at least we were subtle. And what is that?" Clyde asked.
"How should I know?" Rani asked.
"Maybe it's an alien." Nora said.
"Possibly." Ren said.
Luke comes out of the house.
"Okay. Very good. Now, this must be Luke." Peter said.
"Nice to meet you, Mister Dalton." Luke said.
"It's Peter, please. I've heard all about you. You're the apple of your mother's eye, I can tell you. So, this is where you live. Amazing place."
Rani puts the noisy box in their lounge and runs back outside.
"Blimey, he's quite dishy. She's done all right for herself." Gita said.
"Cool car." Clyde said.
Gita runs across the road.
"Mum, come back! Clyde, Flower Power." Rani daid, pointing inside the house.
"Okay." Ren said.
"Ooo." Nora said.
"Nora!"
Clyde, Ren, and Nora obey.
"Oh, hello. Just popping to the shops. Do you want anything?" Gita asked.
"No, thanks. Peter, this is Gita from over the road." Sarah Jane said.
"Oh! Peter and Gita, that's funny." Gita said.
"Jared, I'm still not over how young you and Team RNJR are." Clara said.
"So, I've lived past this, then." Jared said, happily.
"Of course you do. With Team RWBY. They do reunite."
"When's that?" Ruby asked.
"Spoilers." Clara said, smirking.
"You two and your spoilers."
"Oh, let me just pop these in some water." Sarah Jane said, going inside.
"So." Luke said.
"Yes." Peter said.
Chandra home…
"Okay, he looks all right. Did that just move again?" Clyde asked.
"What is it?" Rani asked.
"What the?!" Nora exclaimed, when an eye on a stalk pushes its way out of the box.
Luke's bedroom...
"Alien activity detected. Alert! Activating stair negotiation, hover mode." K9 said.
Chandra home…
"Now there's two of them." Ren said.
Two eye stalks now.
"It's alive." Rani said.
"Let's hope it's harmless!" Clyde said.
"Okay, now that's just crazy!" Nora said.
The box bursts in a shower of polystyrene peanuts.
"We are dealing with aliens. Not Grimm." Ren said.
Three eyes and various pseudopods on a woodlouse shaped body.
"Stop! Stay calm! We're going to help you!" Rani said.
It runs out.
Outside Sarah Jane's home…
K9 rushes past Sarah Jane and Jared, "Master, Mistress, emergency! Alien activity detected."
"K9, shut up. Get back inside. He mustn't see you. Only Clara's supposed to." Jared said, looking at K9. "This is supposed to be normal."
"Alert, Master, Mistress! Previous instructions overridden. Danger!" K9 said.
"K9!" Jaune said.
"Hey, what's that?" Peter asked.
"Oh, it's mine. It's a toy. It comes from Japan. It's a robot dog. K9, get it?" Luke asked.
"Alert!" K9 said.
"But it talks." Peter said.
���Yeah, it's got this programme with a few phrases." Luke said.
"Do not look at me. Everything is normal." K9 said.
"You and dogs." Clara said, laughing a little. "You haven't changed even back then."
K9 heads to the Chandra home.
"It's a prototype. It always finds its way home." Luke said.
"You know, I would like one of those." Peter said.
"Let's go." Jared said, happily. "I'm hungry."
"The toys kids have nowadays. Computers and everything, it's incredible! Remember that thing with the horse?" Peter asked.
Across the road, the little alien is in the bushes.
"Alert! Alert!" K9 said.
"Buckaroo." Sarah Jane said.
"What's it doing there?" Rani asked.
"Alert!" K9 said.
"Gah, you and food." Ruby said. "Chocolate cake with strawberry meringue?"
"Look at you all fancy, Ruby." Clara said.
"I can be fancy when I want to be."
Rani, Clyde, Ren, and Nora chase the little alien down the road.
"Let's go. I haven't eaten in a couple hours." Jaune said.
"Yeah, I'm starving." Luke said.
Sarah Jane and Luke get into Peters car, and he drives them away. Jared places a device on Clara's motorcycle to attach a sidecar to it, he, Ruby, and Jaune climb onto the bike. Ruby and Jaune in the sidecar and Jared holding onto Clara's waist, and she drives them away.
"I thought we'd try the new Italian on the High Street." Peter said. "Nice suggestion, Ruby."
"She is my Little Red, after all." Jared said, happily. "Come on. Pasta and pizza!"
They nearly run over the alien on their way out.
"Come back here!" Nora said, annoyed.
Restaurant…
"I'd really like to go to university, but I think I'd also like to work on my own projects." Luke said.
"Sarah, your phone." Jared said, sipping on a Coke. "They got it."
Sarah Jane's phone rings, "Better get this. Sorry."
She leaves the table.
"Rani?" Sarah Jane asked.
Attic…
"That was a workout." Ren said.
Clyde, Rani, Ren, and Nora have trapped the alien in a small dustbin.
"Tell me about it." Nora said. "It was a wild goose chase."
"There you go, my son." Clyde said.
"We've got it! But what is it?" Rani asked.
Restaurant / Attic…
"Travast Polong. Not evil, just trouble. I saw him on eBay. The seller had no idea what he was. It turns out he was in his dormant cycle." Sarah Jane said.
"And he would choose today to wake up." Rani said.
"Get Mister Smith to open up a link to Polongus and they'll transmat him home."
"We're already on it." Ren said.
"Polongus receiving now. Earth transmitting now." Mr Smith said.
The dustbin is transmatted away.
"Problem solved. Both of you have fun, right?" Rani asked.
Restaurant…
"So, Team RWBY, you're closest to them than any other group you hang out with." Clara said.
"Of course." Ruby said, smiling. "He loves us."
"And I love you too, Clara, Ruby, Jaune." Jared said, looking between Ruby and Clara. "I love having adventures with you guys. And I want to settle down for real this time. Happy."
Sarah Jane returns to the table.
"Watch this." Peter said.
"You lot okay?" Sarah Jane asked.
"Oh yes, yes. Luke and I were just discussing er…" Peter said.
"Clara, Ruby, Jared, and I were talking about…" Jaune said. "It's not important."
"Oh, no, go on, what?" Sarah Jane asked.
"Don't worry about it, Mum, it was nothing." Luke said.
"No, go on, what were you talking about? Tell me. Come on. What's so funny? What?" Sarah Jane asked.
"Nothing." Luke said.
Chandra kitchen…
Two days later.
"What are you doing?" Ren asked.
"Just being nosy. Looking up Peter's gaffe. 120 Christchurch Walk, W4." Clyde said.
"That's a nice place." Nora said. "Ooo, do you think you can make pancakes there?"
"No, I don't think so. It's empty. There's a For Sale sign. And there's newspapers in the windows." Ren said, studying the images closely.
"That picture could have been taken months back." Rani said.
"No, no, look. It says three weeks ago." Clyde said.
"I'll ask Sarah Jane and Jared."
"But Luke told me that Sarah Jane's never been to his place. And Jared said Clara's place is in the next decade. Let's go round there."
"Are you joking?"
"Why don't we take a look?" Nora asked.
"Nora, they're not aliens. Peter and Clara." Ren said.
"She knows. K9 scanned them. But Sarah Jane and Jared are loaded, right? Sarah Jane has all this money from her aunt, the house. And Jared is on the UNIT payroll, and also, he got money from working with Torchwood. What if they want to get their hands on it?" Clyde asked.
"Peter's a partner in a law firm. He earns thousands. And Clara's a schoolteacher. I know why you're doing this. You don't want things to change. Neither do I. But Sarah Jane and Jared are happy. Isn't that important?" Rani asked.
"Yeah. And I want them to stay happy. Come on."
Restaurant…
"Jared, I don't know how to say this. Besides Danny and the Doctor…" Clara said.
"What's up?" Jared asked.
"Jared, I love you. I've always loved you."
"I knew that was coming, Clara. I love you too, Clara Oswald."
120 Christchurch Walk…
Rani, Clyde, Ren, and Nora climb in through a window.
"Everything's covered." Ren said.
The few furniture and fittings are all covered up.
"Come on. Whoa, this place is creepy. It's freezing." Clyde said.
"And there's no heating on." Nora said. "That's a bummer."
"We got the right address, didn't we?" Rani asked.
"Of course we did. Look at this place. I knew it, lair of the living dead." Clyde said.
"There could be a million reasons for this. I don't know. He's got everything in storage?" Rani asked.
"Oh, yeah?" Clyde asked.
"If it was in storage. Then explain that." Ren said.
A mountain of post by the front door.
(Jared's POV)
Restaurant…
Clara produces a ring box, "I know this is years early, but Jared. Will you marry me?"
"Yes! Of course I will!" Jared said, looking down at the ring.
"Which means?" Peter asked.
"Yes, of course. Yes, yes, yes!" Sarah Jane said.
"Jared's been drifting away from us." Ruby said, sadly.
"What do we do?" Jaune asked.
The whole restaurant applauds as Peter kisses Sarah Jane and Jared kisses Clara. Peter slides the ring he gave to Sarah Jane onto her finger. And Clara slides the ring she gave to Jared onto his finger.
"A perfect fit." Sarah Jane said.
As the two couples gaze into each other's eyes, the three diamonds on Sarah Jane's ring and the diamond with little flecks of red and white on Jared's ring glow red.
Attic…
"Here comes the two other couples. Or the future ones." Jared said, happily. "Clani and Flower Power."
Rani, Clyde, Ren, and Nora enter.
"Hey, I've just been telling Luke. I've got some big news. Wonderful news. Peter and I, we're getting married." Sarah Jane said.
"And I've been telling Ruby and Jaune. My news is as big as Sarah's. Clara and I, we're getting married on the same day as Sarah Jane's wedding!" Jared said, happily.
"What?" Nora asked. "You're both getting married!"
"Well, you don't have to look so pleased. I know it's a bit of a shock, but Peter's got it all planned. And he helped out Clara plan out her wedding with Jared. It's a double wedding day." Sarah Jane said.
"I bet he has." Rani said.
"What are you talking about?" Jared asked.
"Sarah Jane, Jared, we went round to Peter's house." Ren said. "Since Clara's apartment won't be around until 2013. The one Jared knows. And we don't know where Clara lives. Or if she has a home."
"You did what?" Jaune asked. "Why did you do that?"
"There's nothing there. It's empty." Nora said.
"What? What are you talking about?" Ruby asked.
"Mum?" Luke asked.
"Jared?" Ruby asked, looking at Jared.
The diamond rings glow red again.
"I know it's empty. He doesn't really live there. His firm got him a flat in London nearer the office." Sarah Jane said.
"And you've been there?" Clyde asked.
"Plenty of times. Oh, we should be angry with you, breaking in there. It's what we'd do, isn't it? Oh, look at you. We've made you all so suspicious."
"This is a happy thing. It's my wedding day, and it's Sarah's wedding day. We want you all to be a part of it." Jared said, placing one hand on top of the other. "It's not the end of the world. Ruby, Jaune, Ren, and Nora. You guys don't have to sneak around and worry about anything. About me, not anymore. I made you guys deal with that for years."
"And Luke, Clyde, Rani, you don't have to do it either." Sarah Jane said.
"So when's the wedding?" Rani asked.
"Oh, it's the end of next week." Jared said, happily. "I do love weddings."
"Next week?" Luke asked.
"Well, why should Sarah wait at her old age? And me, I'm a wedding person. And I do love parties. I wanted to get married for a long time now. I've had crushes for a while. But Clara, she's the one for me."
"You what? That's crazy." Nora said. "You can't do that!"
"Peter had it all on standby. And Clara had Kate Stewart give her a massive amount of money to pay for the building. For the double wedding day. A nice hotel in the country." Sarah Jane said.
"The best thing is, you're all invited!" Jared said, excitedly. "Luke, you can give Sarah Jane away. And Ruby, Jaune, you can give me away."
"So, who's the best man?" Jaune asked.
"You are."
"Will I have to do a speech?"
"Don't you think it's a bit fast?" Clyde asked.
"Oh, you're telling us, we've got so much to arrange. A lot of changes." Sarah Jane said.
"This is the first big change on my part." Jared said, tossing Aqours to Ruby. "Catch. That's yours. It's full of weapons. And I know you have a weapon fetish."
"But. But…" Ruby said, looking down at the music note pendant.
"And here's something Pyrrha wanted to say to you, Jaune. But she couldn't. She loved you, Jaune Arc."
"What?" Jaune asked.
The diamond rings glow again.
"Sarah Jane, Jared, anomalies detected." Mr Smith said.
"That reminds me. First big change for me. Mister Smith, commence deactivation program." Sarah Jane said.
"But Sarah Jane, I have detected an impulse registering…"
"Initiate total deactivation, Mister Smith. Protocol five."
"Complying. Goodbye, Sarah Jane."
"No, Sarah Jane! He was trying to tell us something." Clyde said.
"Was he? I don't know. The world can look after itself. Well, Symphogear can look after the world for us. Since Torchwood was disbanded. Sarah and I can be busy being normal for once. We don't want anything getting in the way." Jared said, leaning against the wall.
"You haven't told Peter about our thing, what we do?" Luke asked.
"Why should I? Perhaps I never will. Perhaps that's the solution." Sarah Jane said.
"What? I don't like this." Clyde said.
"I know what'll stop you worrying, Clyde. You can dog sit for me. You can look after K9." Sarah Jane said.
"What? What, really? What do I say to my mum?"
"Oh, come on, Clyde Langer, when have you ever been short of excuses? Oh, and Rani, keep Saturday free. Dress shopping. You're going to make a lovely bridesmaid."
"You're on! And there's that wedding fair." Rani said.
"I know. And your mum can do the flowers before she asks."
"Ruby, Nora, you girls can be the bridesmaids for my wedding with Clara." Jared said, happily. "I would have made it all of Team RWBY too, if they were here."
"Me? A bridesmaid?" Nora asked. "It's not like you have anything to say about it."
"Ruby, you'll look amazing in another dress."
"You really think so?" Ruby asked.
"Positive."
"Do I really have to make a speech?" Jaune asked.
"You're my best man." Jared said. "Of course you will."
"What about me?" Ren asked.
"You're a groomsman."
"How about my Uncle Qrow?��� Ruby asked.
"He would be a groomsman too." Jared said. "Okay you guys. Let's get out of here. We've got things to do."
"K9, walkies!" Clyde said.
"And goodbye to all that." Sarah Jane said.
She turns off the lights and locks the door behind her.
"Bwahahahahahaha!" A voice said.
Outside the Hotel…
Two weeks later, the wedding. Luke, Clyde, Ren, and Jaune are in suits with white rosebud buttonholes. Clyde is still wearing white trainers, though.
"What have you got there?" Peter asked.
"A message from our friend Maria Jackson. She couldn't make it. She's got exams and her dad's tied up at work." Luke said.
"My mum's at another wedding, yeah, because this was too short notice. It's all been so fast. And the Brigadier's her oldest friend, of course, but he's back in Peru." Clyde said. "Looks like Symphogear came."
"Luke, Clyde, Team RNJR." Tsubasa said. "Where's Jared?"
"Oh, he's somewhere." Ruby said. "Shirabe, Kirika, Hibiki, Miku. How are you?"
"We're fine." Shirabe said. "We didn't want to miss this."
"Where is he?" Hibiki asked.
"Oh, he's, uh, struggling with his suit." Ruby said.
"I'll help him." Miku said, walking away.
"I wouldn't miss this. What if something happens?" Clyde asked.
"Just because your dad turned out bad doesn't mean mine will." Luke said.
"He's not your dad."
"He's going to be. Don't spoil my mum and Jared's day."
"Hey." I said, exiting the hotel with Miku. "Miku helped me with my bow tie."
"Bow ties?" Kirika asked.
"Bow ties are cool."
"Of course they are." Maria said.
"Trust you to be the voice of doom, Haresh. Smile." Gita said.
"Congratulations." Haresh said.
"Thank you." Peter said.
"Hello, everybody. Welcome. It's time, so if you'd like to go in." Luke said.
"Chris, love the dress." I said, looking at the Ichaival wielder. "I can't believe the seven of you made it."
"It was last minute because of you, you dummy!" Chris said.

Hotel reception…
"I'm just saying, this could end up being a bad idea." Nora said.
"How could anything be worse than me going up against a Nuckelavee?" Ren asked.
"It just is! I can sense it!"
Outside the Hotel…
Luke is waiting for the brides to arrive. One of does so in a white Rolls Royce, and wearing a white dress. And the other arrives in a Audi, wearing a nice wedding dress.
"Mum." Luke said, and Sarah Jane's bridesmaid is in pink. "Rani, you look good."
"I look good?" Rani asked.
"You look amazing. Both of you." Luke said.
"Rani, you look awesome. And Sarah, you're glamorous." Jared said, opening the door for Clara. "Hello, Clara Oswin Oswald."
"Jared, for you. That's acceptable." Clara said, as Jared brought her out of the car. "Ruby's right. High heels are impossible."
"Ruby's, uh, she's eating some concession food."
"I thought you might have wanted the Doctor to give the both of you away." Luke said.
"We need somebody reliable, and I'm so very, very glad for me, it's you, Luke." Sarah Jane said.
"And for me, I'm glad it's Jaune." Jared said, happily. "Clara, have you heard from Ashildr?"
"Ashildr?" Clara asked. "No…"
"Besides, where would we send the invite? Metebelis Three?" Sarah Jane asked.
Rani turns at the sound of time engines.
Wedding room…
"I like this wedding." Hibiki said, happily. "Miku, did Jared get me a lot of rice? And some curry?"
"I don't know." Miku said. "Maybe. But who catered Jared's wedding?"
The metal dog is under a table.
"K9, scan." Clyde said.
"All normal, Master Clyde.��� K9 said.
"Yeah, so far." Clyde said.
"You brought the dog?" Jaune asked.
"Why did you bring K9?" Ruby asked.
"Well, what did you think was under there, the wedding cake? There's something wrong about this." Clyde said.
"Good afternoon, everyone, I'm the Superintendent Registrar. We are here today to witness two marriages. The marriage of Sarah Jane Smith and Peter Anthony Dalton. And the marriage of Clara Oswald and Jared Shay In each other's company the two couples have found happiness, fulfilment and love, and they wish to affirm their relationships with these two marriages. Now, I have to ask this question. If any person can show just cause or impediment why the two couples may not be joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." The Registrar said.
"What could possibly go wrong?" Kirika asked.
"You did not just say that." Shirabe said.
She is almost drowned out by the Tardis engines. David Tennant runs in.
"Stop these weddings now!" The Doctor said, angrily.
"What?" Sarah Jane asked.
"Doctor?" Jared asked, looking at the Doctor.
"What's going on?" Hibiki asked.
"The hell is he doing here?" Chris asked.
"I don't believe it." Luke said.
"Who's he?" Rani asked.
"Master!" K9 said.
"I said, stop these weddings." The Doctor said.
"Shirabe! Kirika!" Chris said. "I've got a bad feeling about this."
"We should hold onto the dog!" Kirika said.
"The dog?" Shirabe asked.
"That, um, could work." Ruby said.
"Yeah." Jaune said.
The five held each other's hand and placed their free hands on K9. A strong wind blows through the room.
"Alert! Alert! Danger, Master, Mistress!" K9 said.
"Stop! Sarah! Jared! Get away from them!" The Doctor said.
"No! Peter, no!" Sarah Jane said.
"Clara! It can't be!" Jared said, looking at Clara. "No, I thought you came here legitimately."
"Don't be afraid, Sarah Jane. It's the Angel." Peter said.
"I'm sorry. I was always interested as to how you met me so early. Now I know." Clara said.
A faceless figure in white appears.
"The Trickster!" Jaune and Rani said, at the same time.
"Mum! Mum!" Luke said.
"Jared!" Ruby said.
"Sarah! Jared! Trickster, let them go!" The Doctor said.
"Too late, Time Lord. You're mine, Sarah Jane Smith, Jared Shay. Mine forever." The Trickster said.
"Sarah! Jared!" The Doctor said.
"Doctor!" Sarah Jane and Jared said, at the same time.
The Trickster, Peter, Sarah Jane, Jared, and Clara vanish.
"Luke? Luke Smith." The Doctor said.
Luke wakes up lying on the floor, "Doctor?"
"That's me. Good to meet you in the flesh." The Doctor said.
"What, what happened? Mum, Jared, and the Trickster." Luke said.
"Luke, Luke, Luke, Luke, listen to me. Everything's going to be all right. I can find Sarah and Jared. I can bring them back. I promise. But I need you to be strong for me, just like you were before. I know you can do it." The Doctor said.
Shirabe, Kirika, and Chris stood up from the ground.
"Doctor?" Shirabe asked.
"Shirabe Tsukuyomi. Kirika Akatsuki." The Doctor said. "How have you two been?"
"Awesome. The weddings looked like they were gonna be fun." Kirika said.
"And the wonderful Chris Yukine. These two are treating you well?"
"Besides me having to care of them. When we were up against Karma Noise." Chris said.
Ruby and Jaune pulled themselves up next.
"Doctor?" Ruby asked.
"Ruby Rose! Or as Jared would like to call you, Little Red Riding Hood." The Doctor said, looking at the silver-eyed girl.
"What happened?" Jaune asked.
"And Jaune Arc. It's been a while. The five people Jared trusts the most are here."
Clyde and Rani wake up.
"Who are you?" Clyde asked.
"Hello, Clyde. And that will be Rani." The Doctor said.
"What? How'd you know my name?"
"Wait a moment. You must be. It's you, isn't it?" Rani asked.
"That's me." The Doctor said.
"The Doctor."
"That's him." Luke said.
"I hope you're as good as Sarah Jane and Jared say you are." Clyde said.
"Well, you know journalists and fanboys, always exaggerating. But yeah, I'm pretty amazing on a good day." The Doctor said.
"Master, query. Where are Mistress Sarah Jane and Master Jared?" K9 asked.
"K9! Did you miss me. Did you miss me, eh?"
"Repeat. Whereabouts of Sarah Jane and Jared? Where are they?"
"Where are we?" Ruby asked. "Because this isn't Earth. I don't think we're in Remnant either."
"There's been a dimensional shift. Time's moved on but us, and this entire building, we've been left behind." The Doctor said.
"There's nothing out there." Shirabe said.
The hotel, and the bit of ground it stands on, are floating in white limbo.
"I said all along, I knew there was something wrong about all of this. And what exactly is going on?" Clyde asked.
"I'll explain later." The Doctor said.
The three members of Sarah Jane's gang, the two Symphogear wielders, and Ruby and Jaune speak at once.
The Doctor silences them with a football rattle, "Shush. Here's the answer to all your questions. Yes, that was the Trickster. Yes, we're trapped. Yes, I'm the only one who can get us out of the trap. Yes, I told Elfnein what's going on and Karma Noise won't come here. Yes, it won't bring any Grimm here since they can't go through the Void. Yes, I'm going to bring Sarah Jane and Jared, and your mum and dad, and your families, and all the others back safe, but I can't do any of it without you."
"You, you need us?" Clyde asked.
"Just like Sarah Jane and Jared need you." The Doctor said.
"My mum and dad, where are they?" Rani asked.
"Just go along with him, Rani. I saw him and Jared save the world. And Symphogear saves the world every other day." Luke said.
"You helped me, Jared, and Symphogear save the world, Lukey boy." The Doctor said.
"We wouldn't have been able to defeat Shem-ha without you helping to bring the Earth back home!" Kirika said, looking at Look. "Or else we'd be stuck on the Moon!"
"Yeah. And we can't have another threat lying around besides the Daleks. On that day." The Doctor said. "Right. Come on, we can use the Tardis. I assume everybody knows what the Tardis is, unless you've really not been paying attention. And, allons-y!"
Hotel reception…
"Oh, no, no, no, no. It was there. It was right there. Wait, wait, wait." The Doctor said.
"The TARDIS…" Shirabe said. "It brings hope wherever it goes. That wheezing noise."
The Tardis starts to materialise.
"That noise. I've heard it before." Rani said.
"That was me, trying to break through. Got knocked back by the Trickster." The Doctor said.
"Temporal schism is preventing Tardis materialisation." K9 said.
"Wait a minute. That's the Tardis? It's just a wooden box." Clyde said.
"Come on, you can do it. Break through! More power. Come on!" Kirika said, happily.
The Tardis fades away.
"Okay, got no Tardis. It can't materialise here until time moves forward." The Doctor said.
"What, so we're trapped here, wherever this is?" Rani asked.
"No. Because what have I got? I've got K9." The Doctor said.
"Affirmative." K9 said.
"And I've got you eight. And any friend of Sarah Jane Smith and Jared is a friend of mine."
"But where is this? What's happened to the rest of the world?" Clyde asked.
"Our present location nowhere, no when." K9 said.
"No when?" Ruby asked.
"Oh no, look at the clocks." Shirabe said.
"Time has stopped." Jaune said, looking at the clocks.
"What? You're kidding me. Please tell me you are" Kirika said.
"No. Time hasn't stopped. This second's on a loop. Twenty three seconds and twenty three minutes past three o'clock." Luke said.
"And we're caught inside it. In this one second." Shirabe said. "Which means we're separated from the others."
"But again, where are Sarah Jane and Jared?" Clyde asked.
"I think they're right here." The Doctor said.
Wedding room…
"What happened?" Jared asked. "Clara, what did you do?"
"I didn't do anything. Are you okay?" Clara asked, walking towards Jared.
"I'm fine, everything's fine." Jared said. "But this wasn't how I expected things to go."
"What were you expecting?" Clara asked.
The diamonds on Sarah Jane's and Jared's engagement rings glow red.
"Us traveling with the Doctor." Jared said. "Us together."
"I'm Doctor Clara Oswald. Remember?" Clara asked.
"No, no, you're not. You're a school teacher."
"I'm not even one yet. It's 2009."
"You're not supposed to be here!"
"But I am here. For you." Clara said, walking to Jared. "We're getting married on the same day as Sarah Jane Smith and Peter Dalton."
Sarah and Jared Shay stretch out their arms, and see the diamond rings glowing.
"No. No!" Sarah Jane said.
"No way!" Jared said, angrily. "I'm not getting married to you, Clara. Not under these circumstances."
Jared and Sarah Jane pull off the rings and throw them down on the floor.
Hotel reception…
"So we're kept behind in this second." Kirika said.
"Affirmative Mistress Kirika." K9 said.
"But the rest of the world, Rani's parents, Hibiki, Miku, Tsubasa, Maria, Ren, and Nora, they moved on from these seconds in time. Forwards in time. Why did the Trickster trap us here?" Ruby asked.
"Oh, come on, Ruby. You know the answer to that." The Doctor said.
"We're Sarah Jane and Jared's friends, all of us. Their best friends." Jaune said.
"Yeah. Which means?"
"We are hostages." Shirabe said. "He can use us to get at them."
"We've met the Trickster before, but we've never found out who he is." Clyde said.
"The Trickster is a creature from beyond the universe. Forever trying to break in to our reality, manifest himself. He's one of the Pantheon of Discord." The Doctor said.
"That's a good name for a band." Chris said, smirking. "A rock band at that."
"Yeah, actually, not bad. He's an eternal exile, who exists to wreak havoc. But we can fight him, the ten of us. And we can win." The Doctor said, and his sonic screwdriver starts beeping. "Oh! Ha, that's it. A time trace. Just some hints of Sarah Jane and Jared. Ooo, they're close."
Wedding room…
"The moment the both of you put those rings on our fingers, we were your puppets." Sarah Jane said.
"It isn't like that. It was in case something went wrong. The Angel said that people would try and stop us being happy. Listen, we'll explain." Peter said.
"The Angel?" Jared asked. "Not a Weeping Angel. Of course we saw that thing. He interfered with my life and Sarah Jane's three times now! The Trickster!"
"Jared?" Clara asked. "We can really explain."
Hotel reception…
"Doctor, where are you?" Sarah Jane asked.
"Ruby?" Jared asked. "Jaune?"
Sarah Jane and Jared walk through what is to them an empty area.
Kirika shivers, "What was that? It felt like someone just walked over my grave. Death! That's what it felt like."
"Oh, oh, oh, they're here. They're here! Sarah! Jared!" The Doctor said.
"Sarah Jane. She doesn't like being called Sarah." Rani said.
"She does by me and Jared. K9?"
"Scanning, Master." K9 said.
"Doctor! Doctor!" Sarah Jane said.
"Better stare…." Jared said, looking at the clocks. "At the face of…Death!"
"Mum. That was her." Luke said.
"And that was Jared." Shirabe said. "He combined our catchphrases to create a sentence."
"Yeah." Kirika said, happily.
"K9, isolate the time trace." The Doctor said.
"Affirmative, Master." K9 said.
"K9?"
"Temporal schism divided in two, Master."
"Yes, of course. We're trapped here in 3:23:23. And Sarah Jane and Jared trapped too, just in another second." The Doctor said.
���Hold on. You said you'd explain later. Well, it's later. Please explain." Clyde said.
"The Trickster doesn't want us helping Sarah and Jared, so he's separated us, trapped us in two different seconds."
In the other second.
"Sarah Jane. I want to tell you about the Angel." Peter said.
"Doctor! A time trap." Sarah Jane said.
"Yup!" Jared said, running away from Clara. "I, I don't like this at all. Ruby!"
They run up the stairs.
"Jaune!" Jared said, in the other second.
"Oh, oh, she's upstairs. Come on. Luke, K9, Shirabe, Kirika, Chris, watch for the Tardis, you see it coming back, shout the place down." The Doctor said.
"Orders accepted, Master." K9 said.
"You four with me. Spit spot."
Wedding room…
Sarah Jane and Jared go through a door labelled 2nd floor 201-230 and into…
"It's not possible." Sarah Jane said.
"A time loop mixed with a space loop." Jared said, looking down. "Great. When I thought going up against Witches with Magical Girls was enough."
"Jared, you can't run away from this. We ran away long enough." Clara said, walking up to Jared. "You were upset when I went to face the raven. It broke your heart."
"Clara. You being here, us together early. It's a trap. I loved you Clara, but this, this is way too soon for our timelines."
"I should have told you about the Trickster sooner. But I didn't know how he worked. He popped out of the blue."
"What do you mean?"
"You know how I died. It's a fixed point in time. I know it is."
"And the Doctor and I will rip time apart to save you one day. You won't remember it at all."
Trap Street...
Clara steps out into the deserted street. The Raven lands on a nearby stall and caws. She walks towards it as other passers-by run away. The Doctor and Jared step out of the doorway.
"Let me be brave. Let me be brave." Clara said.
The Raven launches itself from its perch. Clara opens her arms wide and it flies into her stomach. She opens her mouth wide in a silent scream.
"Clara. I can give you life, and the true love you've never got enough time to spend with. All you have to do is give me your agreement. Do I have your agreement?" The Trickster asked, as a memory.
"Yes." Clara said, as a memory.
Wedding room…
"Clara, you're real. The Trickster, he tricked you." Jared said, sadly.
"Jared, he brought us back together. He wanted us to be happy again." Clara said.
"But why did you hypnotize me? Why the ring?"
"Jared, you said yes to me. Like how Sarah Jane said yes to Peter. Before the rings went on. You said you loved me, since you watched my adventures with the Doctor on television. Don't you love me?"
"Oh, Clara, my Impossible Girl."
The two couples embrace. Meanwhile, back in the 23rd second, the Doctor, Clyde, Rani, Ruby, and Jaune run in.
"How did we end up here again?" Ruby asked. "This is annoying!"
"It's a space loop mixed with a time loop." Jaune said.
"How did you figure that out?"
"Well, we've been doing this for a while. I've been piecing things together."
"Come on, come on, come on, Sarah, Jared. Let me find the both of you." The Doctor said.
And in Sarah Jane and Jared's moment.
"Clara, what have I told you about here and now? This will become my past while you're my future." Jared said, looking at Clara. "I've beaten the Trickster twice already. I called Yuma and Nagisa for help the first time around. And I beat him with Team RNJR. Now, he's using you."
"Jared, he brought us together again. After I saw how heartbroken you were. After we said goodbye. I already knew what you were gonna say. In the future."
"Clara. You're an idiot. I'll show you what he's like. Since I never bothered to tell you. In the future. Trickster? Trickster!"
"Sarah Jane Smith and Jared Shay." The Trickster said.
"Why have you done this? What do you want?" Sarah Jane asked.
"I want the both of you to be happy."
Whilst.
"Hang on, though. This is mad. The Trickster, he's this all-powerful immortal who wants to cause chaos throughout the stars, and he wants Sarah Jane and Jared to get married to the person they love respectively. What does he get out of that?" Rani asked.
"You want me and Peter to get married. And Jared and Clara get married on the same day. And then what?" Sarah Jane asked.
"The both of you will forget all that has happened here as though it has never been, and then here is the life you will lead." The Trickster said.
A vision of the possible future.
"Mister and Mrs Shay." Ruby said.
Cheers and throwing confetti.
Buying a house.
"Okay, this has a nice little cinema." Jared said. "And a game room."
"Enough for some Netflix and chill." Clara said. "It didn't work out with the Doctor and Danny."
"Danny was too much of a soldier. And the Doctor, he was way out of your league. This has some nice secret rooms in the process too."
And back to the moment.
"I will bring both of you happiness." The Trickster said.
"So, what's the catch?" Jared asked. "There always will be one with you. You didn't have to include Clara!"
"Sarah Jane, Jared, all you have to say is I do to your lover." Peter said.
"And if you don't, you two will remain here forever." The Trickster said.
"Then so be it." Sarah Jane said.
"I'm fine with staying here." Jared said, looking at the Trickster. "Forever. I don't care. Honestly."
"So will Peter and Clara. And so will your son and friends, Sarah Jane. And so will your family and friends, Jared. The both of you'll condemn them to remain here. This place is nowhere. And it's forever." The Trickster said, vanishing.
"Now do you see? Now do you see what he is." Sarah Jane said.
"It doesn't matter. You can save them, Luke and the others." Peter said.
Peter holds up Sarah Jane's wedding ring.
"He's right, you can save them, Jared. You can change the future. So I can come back and we can have adventures. Forever." Clara said.
Clara holds up Jared's wedding ring.
Meanwhile.
"They're here. If I can narrow the link ratio." The Doctor said.
"Doctor." The Trickster said.
Back in its black robe.
"Ah. You look better in black. Or is white the new black?" The Doctor asked.
"At last. Doctor. I could feel this moment reverberating back through the ages. The meeting of the Pantheon of Discord and the last of the Time Lords." The Trickster said.
"I've known the legends of the Pantheon since I was a little boy. I've fought your shadows and your changelings. I never thought we'd actually meet."
"And I know the legends of the Doctor. The man of ice and fire, who walked among gods, who once held the Key to Time in his hands. Now he is surrounded by children."
"They're my friends. Which reminds me, you're looking a bit lonely for a Pantheon."
"I embody multitudes. And who are you, the man who has lost everybody, to talk to me of loneliness, when the Gate is waiting for you? And it would have been waiting for Jared too, had I not interfered."
"What do you mean?"
"Sarah Jane Smith and Jared Shay are my prizes. Even you, Doctor, Ruby Rose, Jaune Arc, didn't realise how wonderful they are." The Trickster said.
"What do you want with them?" Ruby asked.
"Oh, the rose as thorns. That's to be expected from a silver-eyed warrior. What I always want from any of those I visit. Their agreement. Goodbye, Doctor, Ruby, and Jaune."
The Trickster vanishes.
"Their agreement. The power of words. Sarah Jane says I do to Peter, and Jared says I do to Clara, and. Yes, that's it!" The Doctor said.
"That's what?" Clyde asked.
"Sarah promises to love and honour her husband, and Jared promises to love and honor his wife, the wedding rings goes on and then they've agreed to it. They're totally under the Trickster's power. Marital bliss, but they forget all about this. They start living new lives." The Doctor said.
"Forgetting about their old lives protecting the Earth." Rani said.
"And Jared would forget about his life of protecting the multiverse. Specifically Remnant." Jaune said.
"And the Earth's wide open, so aliens can just barge in?" Clyde asked.
"And that means our world's wide open too, so Grimm can barge in." Ruby said, frowning. "That's bad. Really bad."
"Without Sarah, without you lot saving the world from your attic in Ealing, and without Jared, without Team RWBY and JNR saving the world from Grimm, there'll be chaos and destruction. Meat and drink to the Trickster." The Doctor said.
"As if they're gonna say yes." Clyde said.
"But they will, won't they. Because we're here." Jaune said. "We can help them, we can save them."
Time engines.
"Tardis! Beautiful. Yes! It's homing in on me. Emergency program, protecting the pilot. Of course. Partial materialisation." The Doctor said.
"What's happening?" Chris asked.
Chris entered the room with Luke, Shirabe, and Kirika.
"Look, that's pure artron energy. Tardis power. Equal and opposite to the Trickster's power. That's how we can fight him." The Doctor said, unlocking the Tardis door. "Run!"
A strong wind is pushing them back. Ruby activated her semblance and she turned into a petal of rose petals, carrying herself and Jaune into the TARDIS..
"Doctor!" Kirika said.
"Come on, all of you, get in. Come on now. Ruby and Jaune managed to get in easy." The Doctor said.
The Doctor manages to grab Clyde's hand and Kirika grabs Clyde's hand, but he can't pull them in. The door slams shut and Clyde and Kirika are held against it with artron energy playing all over then. The Tardis dematerialises.
"Clyde!" Luke said.
"It's just us then." Rani said.
"You all right?" Luke asked.
"Yeah. I think." Clyde said.
"Kirika!" Shirabe said, looking down at her other half. "Are you okay?"
"I'm okay." Kirika said, as Shirabe lifted her off the ground.
"Why did you go up to that thing?" Chris asked.
"He'll come back for us, won't he?" Clyde asked.
"What if he can't?" Rani asked.
"He will. He has Ruby and Jaune safe and sound now. That's what Jared would want. Chris and I will wait here for him. You four check with K9." Luke said.
Hotel reception…
"The Doctor said the power of the Tardis could fight the Trickster. Something energy." Rani said.
"Artron energy. Residue of Tardis engines. Known to be highly inimical to certain time-sensitive life forms." K9 said.
"There is no Tardis." Rani said.
Clyde sees a ball of energy in the palm of his hand, "Whoa."
Kirika looks down to see a ball of energy in the palm of her hand, "I got the same thing!"
"What's that?" Shirabe asked.
"Artron energy, Mistress Shirabe." K9 said.
"And we got a shot of it." Clyde said.
"Then we can fight him?" Rani asked.
"No. Kirika and I can fight him." Clyde said.
Wedding room…
"Jared, you said we should settle down at some point. We can forget traveling around all of time and space. We can forget the Doctor. We'll be married. We'll be together forever. Team RNJR and Symphogear, we can go home." Clara said.
"If only it was that easy, Clara. The Trickster, he runs off of temptation. I'm not making that mistake for the third time. The first time was with Donna's world. The second time was with Sarah Jane's parents. This is the third time." Jared said.
"You don't know that. Time can be rewritten."
"At the cost of stopping to defend the Earth? Clara, we were born on that planet. And so were your parents and my parents. I'm not risking settling down to see it be invaded."
Hotel reception…
"We can get close to the Trickster with this." Kirika said. "It's the only way."
"Kirika, you can't. You don't know what you're doing with Clyde." Shirabe said.
"When has that ever stopped us? It's what Sarah Jane would do. It's what Jared would do. It's what the Doctor taught Hibiki taught them. We've got no choice." Clyde said.
"Please, don't do this, both of you." Rani said.
Clyde and Kirika open the front doors of the hotel.
"Trickster!" Clyde said.
"Come out here!" Kirika said. "We want to talk to you!"
The Trickster appears in the white mist of limbo, "Clyde Langer. Kirika Akatsuki. Why do you call me?"
"We wish to serve you. We wish to join the Pantheon." Clyde said.
"Clyde, Kirika, no!" Rani said.
Limbo…
"The two of you are of no importance." The Trickster said.
"We know something. A secret. Something that can help you." Clyde said.
"You know nothing. You both have minds of chittering insects. Be gone." The Trickster said.
"Nope!" Kirika said, happily.
The Trickster waves his hand and Clyde and Kirika grabs it.
"Gotcha." Clyde said.
"Argh!" The Trickster said.
(Jared's POV)
Wedding room…
"Please." Peter said.
"Jared, we don't want this. But this is the only way." Clara said.
"There's other ways!" I said, letting out tears.
The Tardis materialises and the Doctor opens the door.
"Sarah. Jared." The Doctor said.
"Doctor." Sarah Jane and I said, at the same time.
"Got to be quick. The Tardis can't stabilise. Clyde and Kirika are keeping the Trickster busy for the moment. Oh, those six are just brilliant." The Doctor said.
"Doctor, what can we do? If we say no, we're trapped here forever. If we say yes, we condemn the world to the Trickster. Either way we lose. There's no way out." Sarah Jane said.
"There really isn't. I only just met Clara. I've known her for years. But meeting her in person. It was a gift. Even if it was in person. What do we do, Spaceman?" I asked, grabbing Clara's hand.
"It all rests with you, Sarah, Jared. Your greatest challenge. The hardest thing you'll ever face in your life." The Doctor said.
"What is it? Tell us what we've got to do." Sarah Jane said.
"You two fought the Trickster before. You know how he operates, how he can be defeated." The Doctor said.
"Oh, no. No." Sarah Jane said.
"Anything but that." I said, squeezing Clara's hand.
"I know you're a good man, Peter. And I know you're a good girl, Clara. I'm so sorry." The Doctor said.
Clyde, Kirika, and the Trickster appear, screaming.
"Clyde!" Sarah Jane said.
"Kirika!" I said, letting go of Clara's hand to run up to Kirika.
"I can't hold it." Clyde said.
"Neither can I!" Kirika said. "It'll destroy the Relic."
They let the Trickster go. The Tardis dematerialises.
"Doctor! Clyde, Kirika, no." Sarah Jane said.
"It had to be Kirika." I said, holding Kirika. "She's as spontaneous as me."
Clyde and Kirika have collapsed.
"Peter, I do love you." Sarah Jane said.
"And Clara, I do love you. You were the first companion I ever saw on Doctor Who. Your death devastated me. But the Doctor's right, there is another way out." Jared said, walking away from Kirika's body.
"Do not listen to their lies." The Trickster said.
"Peter, your accident. And Clara, your death to face the raven. He can only talk to people who are about to die. He comes to them in that final moment. He gives them back their life." Sarah Jane said.
"What do you mean?" Clara asked.
"Clyde and Rani said your house was empty. Why did you never let me see your house? I get that I can't see Clara's house since it is in the 2010s. But you died in that accident, Peter. And Clara, you died to the Raven. But he needed you two, so he kept the both of you half alive. And if we got married, and if Jared and Clara got married, the bargain would be complete." Sarah Jane said.
Well, he would bring the two of you back to life. Clara, you don't have a pulse since your mind's moving but your body died." I said. "It literally died. Your soul was sucked right out of you. And now you're a walking corpse. A zombie."
"Jared, I know that. But your love for me brought me back. I have a feeling that the Doctor will do the same someday." Clara said, walking up to me. "Don't you want to save me?"
"I do. But look at Kirika, this is what he did to Donna's world and that alternative timeline I was in a while back. He killed millions, but you can save them, Clara. If you break your deal with him." I said, walking up to Clara for a hug.
I went down and cradled the unconscious Kirika in my lap.
"But I'll lose you. And Jared will lose Clara. We'll die. We don't want the both of you to be alone." Peter said.
"I love you but I can't love you. And Jared loves Clara, but he can't love her. You said you'd do anything to save me. And Clara, she saved Jared millions of times by entering the Doctor's time stream and his. If you love me, and Clara, if you love Jared, you know what you have to do." Sarah Jane said.
"No." The Trickster said.
"You got one thing exactly right. Sarah Jane and I, we were made for each other." Peter said.
"And Jared and I, we were made for each other too. The Impossible Duo." Clara said.
"You made two perfect matches."
"And we know what they would do."
"But I chose the both of you because you didn't have the strength." The Trickster said.
"You really don't know my Sarah Jane, do you? She gave me the strength. And I withdraw my agreement." Peter said.
"Same." Clara said. "Run, run you clever boy, and be a huntsman."
"I will, Clara." I said, happily.
"No!" The Trickster said, disappearing.
"Jared, you'll see me again. I want you to get to know me properly." Clara said.
"I know. I'll do that, I love you Clara Oswald."
"And I love you, Jared Shay. Remember me."
Peter and Clara disappears in a shower of sparkles. The Doctor, Ruby, Jaune, Luke, Rani run in, followed at a distance by K9, Chris, Shirabe, and Kirika.
"Mum." Luke said.
"Luke. Doctor. Oh, Doctor." Sarah Jane said.
"Jared." Ruby said.
"You okay?" Jaune asked.
"Ruby. Jaune. Oh, Little Red." I said, running up to Ruby to let out a lot of tears.
"My Sarah Jane and Jared. Youx the both of you did it. The trap's broken. Time's moving forward again, We're going home." The Doctor said.
"Hold on!" Chris said.
"We're all going home." Shirabe said.
"If any person can show just cause or impediment why they may not be joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." The Registrar said.
Everyone is back where they started, except for five.
"Where've they gone? Sarah's bloke, and Jared's gal, where've they gone?" Gita asked.
"They were just there." Haresh said.
"Where's the Doctor, Ruby, and Jaune gone?" Luke asked.
"Where did they go?" Nora asked.
"I don't know." Ren said.
"Wait, are the weddings over?" Hibiki asked.
"I think so." Miku said.
"We're sorry, everybody. We're afraid the weddings are cancelled." Sarah Jane said.
Attic...
Sarah Jane is sitting with K9. She has changed out of her dress. And Jared is sitting on the chair, as he has changed out of the suit and tie.
"Mister Smith, we need you." Sarah Jane said.
"We really do." Jared said.
"Welcome back, Sarah Jane, Jared." Mr Smith said.
"Yui, how did your parents deal with this?" Jared asked, putting Aqours back on his neck. "With breaking up."
"I don't know." Yui said, sitting on Jared's shoulder. "They've had fights. But they were always a couple."
"Always, huh."
Luke, Clyde, Rani, Ren, and Nora enter, still in their wedding outfits.
"Mum, are you all right?" Luke asked.
"I'm going to be fine, I've got you, haven't I?" Sarah Jane asked.
"I can't believe the Doctor ran off like that with Ruby and Jaune." Luke said.
"Sudden disappearing acts. That's him all over." Sarah Jane said.
"But it isn't like Ruby and Jaune to do that." Jared said.
"It isn't." Ren said.
"So, where are they?" Nora asked.
"I don't know." Jared said. "It's been a long day. I just want a nap."
"Sarah Jane, Jared, escalation of temporal flux." Mr Smith said.
"Temporal flux escalating." K9 said.
The Tardis finds a place to park herself.
"Doctor." Sarah Jane said.
"Little Red. Vomit Boy." Jared said, happily.
"What do you take me for, Sarah, Jared? Just thought I'd go the quick way with Ruby and Jaune. Ooo, I like it in here." The Doctor said.
"Can we have a look?" Rani asked.
"What, in the Tardis? My Tardis! Course you can, yeah." The Doctor said.
Tardis…
"Oh, wow. It really is, isn't it? It's bigger on the inside." Clyde said.
"It's beautiful." Rani said.
"Transcendental dimensions." Luke said.
"Wow, what does this do?" Clyde asked.
"Hey, don't touch. You came all that way for us." Sarah Jane said.
"The two of you are so important. Not just to me. The Trickster wanted to end both your stories, but it goes on. The things you've done, Sarah, Jared, they're pretty impressive, but, oh, the things you're going to do." The Doctor said.
"The future. How about we could go for a ride?" Luke asked.
"Or back. To the dinosaurs, yeah?" Clyde asked.
"Another planet?" Rani asked.
"No way. For one thing, you were grounded by the Judoon with Kako and Akira. And your parents would never forgive me and Jared. Go on." Sarah Jane said.
"Team RNJR, here are your usual outfits." Jared said, taking their outfits from out of his backpack. "And your weapons."
"Thank you." Ren said, grabbing his clothes and StormFlower.
"Thanks." Ruby said, grabbing her clothes and Crescent Rose. "Oh, I missed you, Crescent Rose."
"Thank you." Jaune said, grabbing his clothes and Crocea Mors.
"Thanks a lot!" Nora said, grabbing her clothes and Magnhild.
"Now, Luke, Clyde, Rani, leave. I'll see you three again someday." Jared said, happily. "I promise."
Luke, Rani and Clyde leave.
"Is this the last time I'm ever going to see all of you?" Sarah Jane asked.
"I don't know. I hope not." The Doctor said.
"Goodbye, Doctor, Jared, Team RNJR, until the next time." Sarah Jane said.
"Yeah, I'll see you again, Sarah." Jared said, leaning against the TARDIS console. "I always keep my promises, don't I?"
"Don't forget us, Sarah Jane." The Doctor said.
"No one's ever going to forget any of you." Sarah Jane said.
Attic...
The Tardis dematerialises.
"You were right. They are amazing." Clyde said.
"And so are we." Sarah Jane said.
