Amy's bedroom…
1,894 years later...and one star at least is still burning brightly.
Night. The red pinwheel turns in the breeze in the garden. Upstairs, a little red haired girl and a little blonde haired girl are saying their prayers.
"Dear Santa. Thank you for the dolls and pencils and the fish. It's Easter now, so we hope we don't wake you, but, honest, it is an emergency. There's a crack in my wall. Aunt Sharon says it's just an ordinary crack, but we know it's not, because at night there's voices. So, please, please, could you send someone to fix it, or a policeman, or…" Amelia said.
"A doctor." Mami said, there's a strange wind whistles outside.
"Back in a moment." Amelia said.
Amelia and Mami run to the window, but there is nothing there.
"There's nothing here." Mami said, looking at Amelia. "What are we looking for?"
The moon hangs in a starless sky, and the Lunar Attack never happened.
Living room…
The nice lady psychiatrist is looking at a painting of the moon and stars.
"It's a lovely painting, Amelia. And what are all these?" Christine asked.
"I think Amelia painted stars." Mami said, looking at the painting.
"Oh, Amelia." Sharon said, annoyed.
Mami grabbed Amelia's hand.
"Tell you what, shall we go outside?" Christine asked.
Outside the house…
"Amelia, what do you see?" Mami asked. "Because I don't see anything."
"The moon." Amelia said.
"What else? Since it's just the moon."
"Just the dark."
"But there's no stars. We've been arguing about it for years. If there were stars up there, we would be able to see them, wouldn't we?"
"Amelia, look at me. You know this is all just a story, don't you? Mami has a point there. And she's one of your friends. You know there's no such thing as stars." Christine said.
Amy's bedroom…
Amy and Mami listens to the adult voices downstairs.
"But there's bound to be a bit of her that feels alone. Even with Mami Tomoe, she's not really Amelia's sister. Just a friend of hers. Amelia's a really good person." Christine said, nearby.
Staircase…
"It's quite common, actually. Throughout history, people have talked about seeing stars in the sky. God knows where it comes from." Christine said, nearby.
"I just don't want her growing up and joining one of those Star Cults with Mami. I don't trust that Richard Dawkins." Sharon said, nearby.
Christine and Sharon walk across the hallway from the kitchen to the living room. Someone in a red fez puts a leaflet through the door.
Amelia runs down to get it, "What's that?"
"I don't know." Mami said, looking at the leaflet. "Might be a brochure."
A small portal opened up from above and two small objects fell out of it. A small pink object and a black object.
"What are those?" Amelia asked, looking at items a Magical Girl are familiar with.
The leaflet is titled The Anomaly, and features the Pandorica at the National Museum. Someone has written on it in red ink - Come along, Pond, Tomoe.
"I guess we'll find out. If we go to this place." Mami said. "It could be fun. Or interesting."
National Museum…
"Come on, Aunt Sharon." Amelia said, angrily.
"Oh, look at that. That's good, isn't it?" Sharon asked, looking at one of the exhibits.
"I don't think it's that." Mami said, holding Amelia's hand.
"Yeah. It's not that." Amelia said, as she is dragging Mami. "This way."
"But we're not looking at anything." Sharon said.
"This way!" Amelia said, walking away with Mami.
"Amelia! Mami!"
Anomaly Exhibition…
Amelia stops to look at the exhibit of petrified Daleks, "What are those things?"
"I don't know. But they look dangerous." Mami said, sadly.
Amelia and Mami push through the people standing looking at the Pandorica.
Someone snatches Amelia's Original Cola drink from her. Suddenly there is a post-it note on the Pandorica, saying Stick around, Pond, Tomoe.
"I guess we're staying." Mami said.
"Amelia! Mami!" Sharon said, as Amelia and Mami run to hide. "Amelia? Mami? Amelia? Mami?" Closing time. "Amelia! Mami!"
"Amelia Pond, please go to the reception with Mami Tomoe, please. Your aunt is waiting for you and your friend there. Amelia Pond, please go to reception with Mami Tomoe." Someone on the speaker said.
Later still, Amelia and Mami creep out from the Penguin display, knocking some over.
"Sorry." Amelia said.
Amelia and Mami returns to the Pandorica and the blonde removes the post-it note.
"I'm gonna see if this does something." Mami said, taking out the pink crystal.
Amelia puts her hand and Mami places the pink object on the Pandorica and starts to open.
"What did we do?" Amelia asked, looking at Mami.
Amelia and Mami backs away.
"Hi." Madoka said, on Jared's side of the Pandorica. "Aww, you're so cute and tiny."
The people inside speak to them. Amy is looking at her seven year old self and Madoka is looking at four year old Mami.
"Okay, kids. This is where it gets complicated." Amy said, on the Doctor's side of the Pandorica.
Stonehenge…
1,894 years previously... Rory has the body of Amy and Homura has the body of Madoka lying across their laps, Pieta-style.
"And, um, the universe ended." Homura said, sadly. "In 102 AD. You, you missed that."
"I suppose this means the four of us never get born at all. Twice, in our case." Rory said.
"Madoka, you, you would have laughed at that. Amy too."
"Please laugh. The Doctor said the universe was huge and ridiculous, and sometimes there were miracles. We could do with a ridiculous miracle about now."
The Doctor pops in from thin air, wearing a red fez and carrying a mop, "Rory! Homura! Listen, they're not dead. Well, they are dead, but it's not the end of the world. Well, it is the end of the world. Actually, it's the end of the universe. Oh, no. Hang on."
The Doctor vanishes again.
"Doctor? Doctor!" Homura said.
The Doctor reappears, without the mop, "Both of you need to get me and Jared out of the Pandorica."
"But you and Jared are not in the Pandorica." Rory said.
"Yes, we are. Well, we're not now, but we were back then. Well, back now from your point of view, which is back then from our point of view. Time travel, you can't keep it straight in your head. It's easy to open from the outside. Just point and press." The Doctor said, giving Rory his sonic screwdriver. "Now go." He vanishes and returns. "Oh, and when you're done, leave my screwdriver in her top pocket and use a spare Grief Seed on Madoka. Good luck."
And vanishes again.
"What do you mean? Um, you've done what?" Homura asked, looking back at Rory.
(Jared's POV)
Pandorica chamber…
Rory opens the Pandorica with the sonic screwdriver and Homura is standing next to him. The Doctor and I are released from the chairs.
"Sayaka." I said, looking over at Sayaka. "You saved yourself."
Sayaka stepped out of the Pandorica.
"Well, yeah." Sayaka said, "I kinda had to. I didn't want to lose you."
"How did you do that?" The Doctor asked, looking at Rory.
"You gave us this." Rory said, nodding to Homura.
The Doctor takes his screwdriver from his own pocket, "No, I didn't."
"You did. Look at it." Homura said, looking at the two sonic screwdrivers. "Um, it's the same screwdriver. Same software. Same case."
The Doctor touches his screwdriver to Rory's.
"You know this would happen." Sayaka said, looking inside her pocket. You said you needed this?"
The two sonic screwdrivers spark. Sayaka tossed me a vortex manipulator, "Here."
"Temporal energy. Same screwdriver at different points in its own time stream. Which means it was me who gave it to you. Me from the future. I've got a future." The Doctor said.
"That is a bit nice." Sayaka said, as I put the vortex manipulator on my wrist.
"Well, that's not." I said, while the Daleks are fossilised.
"Yeah. What are they?" Rory asked.
Everyone who was in the chamber when the universe ended has been fossilised.
"Well, history has collapsed." I said, grabbing Sayaka's hand. "Whole races have been deleted from existence. Magical Girls, Witches, and Familiars too. For once, Sayaka, you're normal again."
"And these are just like after-images. Echoes. Fossils in time. The footprints of the never-were." The Doctor said.
"Er, what does that mean?" Homura asked.
"It's a total event collapse. The universe literally never happened." I said, squeezing Sayaka's hand.
"So, how can we be here? What's keeping us safe?" Sayaka asked.
"Nothing. Eye of the storm, that's all." The Doctor said.
"Um, I, I think we're just the last light to go out." Homura said, playing with her hands.
"Amy. Madoka. Where's Amy and Madoka?" The Doctor asked.
Stonehenge…
"I killed Amy. And Homura killed Madoka." Rory said.
"Oh, Rory, Homura." I said, sadly.
"Doctor, Jared, um, what are we?" Homura asked.
"Both of you are Nestene duplicates. Lumps of plastic with delusions of humanity and Magical Girls."
"But I'm Rory now. And Homura's, Homura. Whatever was happening, it's stopped. I'm Rory and she's Homura." Rory said, looking over at Homura.
"I think that's technology talking." Sayaka said. "I could be wrong."
"Can the both of you help them? Is there anything you can do?" Rory asked, looking between the Doctor and I.
"Yeah, if only we had the time." I said, grabbing Sayaka's hand.
"The time?" Homura asked. "Um, how can you be out of time?"
"All of creation has just been wiped from the sky. Do you know how many lives now never happened? All the people who never lived? Your girlfriend isn't more important than the whole universe." The Doctor said.
Rory punches the Doctor, "She is to me!"
"Welcome back, Rory Williams! Sorry. Had to be sure." The Doctor said.
"Those are hell of gun-arms Rory and Homura are packing there." Sayaka said, looking at Homura's hand.
"Okay, we need to get Amy and Madoka downstairs." I said, happily. "That's the plan."
"And take that look off your plastic faces. Rory, you're getting married in the morning. And Homura, Sayaka, the Puella Magi Holy Quintet is back together." The Doctor said.
Pandorica chamber…
The Doctor places Amy and I place Madoka in the Pandorica.
"So you've got a plan, then?" Rory asked.
"Bit of a plan, yeah. Memories are more powerful than you think, and Amy Pond and Madoka Kaname are not ordinary girls. Amy grew up with a time crack in her wall. The universe pouring through her dreams every night." The Doctor said.
"And Madoka became the Law of Cycles in an alternative universe. Due to the karmic destiny Homura attached to her. When Homura time traveled each and every time, just to add fate trying to save her." I said, looking at Madoka's lifeless body. "This universe could end up having a similar fate to that one. Possibly, I don't know. Even with Doppels being a thing and Walpurgisnacht defeated."
"The Nestenes took a memory print of them and got a bit more than they bargained for, like you. Not just your face, but your heart and your soul." The Doctor said, glancing at Rory and Homura.
The Doctor mind-melds with Amy and I do the same with Madoka.
"I think they're leaving them messages." Sayaka said, crossing her arms. "So when they wake up, they're aware as to what is going on."
The Doctor seals Amy and Madoka inside the Pandorica.
"Um, what. What are you doing?" Homura asked.
"Jared and I are saving them. This box is the ultimate prison. You can't even escape by dying. It forces you to stay alive." The Doctor said.
"But they're already dead." Rory said.
"Well, they're mostly dead. The Pandorica can stasis-lock her that way. Now, all it needs is a scan of their living DNA and it'll restore them." The Doctor said.
"Where's it going to get that?"
"In about two thousand years."
(Open POV)
Anomaly Exhibition…
Amy and Madoka fall out of the Pandorica, gasping.
"Are you all right? Who are you?" Mami asked.
"We're fine. We're supposed to rest. Got to rest, the Doctor says." Amy said.
"Yeah. Because we've been through a lot. Jared said that I can't overwork myself. A ton of impurities must have gathered up within me." Madoka said.
"What doctor?" Amelia asked.
"And who's Jared?" Mami asked.
Amy taps her head, "The Doctor's in here. He left a message in my head like I'm an answerphone."
"The same with Jared. He shouldn't have given me that much information." Madoka said, smiling.
"Where are we? Hang on. National Museum, right? I was here once with Mami when we were little…" Amy said, looking at her younger self and younger Mami. "Yeah, complicated."
"So, it's 1996?" Madoka asked, clasping her hands together.
"Who are you?" Amelia asked.
"It's a long story. Oh. A very long story." Amy said.
"The Pandorica? Right. That box locked the Doctor and Jared." Madoka said, her eyes widening.
The Pandorica Seen Through Time is on a display board. 118AD taken back to Rome under armed guard. 420AD Raided by the Franks. 1120AD Prized possession of the Knights Templar. 1231 Donated to the Vatican.
Pandorica chamber…
The Doctor takes River's vortex manipulator from her bag and straps it to his wrist. Sayaka played her hand on Jack's vortex manipulator that's on Jared's wrist.
"They're going to be in that box for two thousand years?" Rory asked.
"Yup, but we're taking a shortcut." Jared said, looking at Rory.
"River and Jack have the same vortex manipulator. I think." Sayaka said, studying the vortex manipulators.
"So, it's a rubbish way to time travel, but the universe is tiny now. We'll be fine." The Doctor said.
"Wait, um, the future is still there? Our world?" Homura asked.
"It's probably a version of it." Sayaka said, sadly.
"And not the one you know." Jared said, looking at Homura.
"Yeah. Earth alone in the sky. Let's go and have a look. Rory, Homura, you put your hands there. Don't worry. Should be safe." The Doctor said.
"Um, that's not what we're worried about." Homura said, sadly. "Madoka and Amy, will they be okay?"
"They'll be fine. Nothing can get in this box." Jared said, as Sayaka has her hand on the vortex manipulator on his wrist. "I promise."
"Well, you and the Doctor got in there." Rory said.
"Well, there's only one of us. I counted." The Doctor said.
"This box needs guards. We killed the last one."
"Um, I used my time stop for us to get close." Homura said. "For Rory to slice it with his sword."
"Rory, Homura, no way. Don't even think about it." Jared said, looking between Rory and Homura.
"They'll be all alone." Rory said.
"They won't feel it." The Doctor said.
"You bet they won't."
"Two thousand years, Rory. You're literally doing what Homura did. Or what her alternative self did with her 100 time stops. If the both of you do this, you won't be able to sleep. You'd be conscious forever. It would drive you mad." Jared said, looking at Rory. "Going from ten years to two thousand years. Talking about overkill much."
"Um, will they be safer if we stay? Can you look at us in the eye? And, and tell us they wouldn't be safer alone." Homura said, playing with her hands.
"Homura, you and Rory…"
"Answer her!" Rory said, angrily.
"Yeah. Obviously." Jared said, as Sayaka still has her hand on his vortex manipulator.
"Then how could we leave them?"
"Why do you and Homura have to be so human?" The Doctor asked.
"Because right now, we're not." Rory said.
"Okay, you two decided on what to do next." Jared said, typing in coordinates into the vortex manipulator on his wrist. "Well, this is the last bit of advice you're gonna get for a really long time."
"Both of you are living plastic." Sayaka said. "But you're not immortal like a typical Magical Girl, Homura. There's no Witches or Familiars around. Since they ceased to exist."
"Basically, we don't know how long either of you will last. You're not indestructible either, Homura and Rory."
"Make sure to stay away from heat and radio signals when they come along, alright?"
"You can't heal, or repair yourself. Any damage is permanent. So, for God's sake, however bored you get, stay out of…" The Doctor said.
The Doctor, Jared, and Sayaka vanish. Rory and Homura put on their helmets. Rory draws his sword and Homura transforms to be wearing a modified version of her Magical Girl outfit with Roman armor. The two Centurions took out a sword and gun respectively to settle down to the longest stint of guard duty in history.
"According to legend, wherever the Pandorica was taken, throughout its long history, the Centurions would be there, guarding it." A narrator said.
Anomaly Exhibition…
An audio visual presentation of the history of the Pandorica on a nearby screen.
"They appear as an iconic image in the artwork of many cultures, and there are several documented accounts of their appearances, and their warnings to the many who attempted to open the box before its time. Their last recorded appearance was during the London blitz in 1941. The warehouse where the Pandorica was stored was destroyed by incendiary bombs, but the box itself was found the next morning, a safe distance from the blaze. There are eyewitness accounts from the night of the fire of figures in Roman dress, carrying the box from the flames. Since then, there have been no sightings of the two Centurions, and many have speculated that if they ever existed, they perished in the fires of that night, performing one last act of devotion to the box they had pledged to protect for nearly two thousand years." The narrator said.
"Homura…" Madoka said, sadly.
"Exterminate!" The Dalek said.
"What's that?" Mami asked, looking at the Dalek.
"Exterminate!"
The Doctor appears with Jared and Sayaka.
"...trouble." The Doctor said.
"Okay, two of Amy. And a younger Mami." Jared said, looking at Amy, Amelia, Mami, and Madoka. "And Madoka's okay. This makes things a bit complicated."
"Exterminate! Weapons systems restoring." The Dalek said.
"Come along, Ponds." The Doctor said.
"Let's go, you guys." Sayaka said, as Jared is pulling her.
"Right." Madoka said, carrying Mami. "She is cute as a kid."
"Exterminate!" The Dalek said.
They run to a Middle Eastern montage where the Doctor takes the fez from a dummy.
"What are we doing?" Sayaka asked.
"Well, we are running into a dead end, where I'll have a brilliant plan, that basically involves not being in one." The Doctor said.
"What's going on?" A woman asked.
"Get out of here! Just go! Run!" Sayaka said.
"Drop the device!" The Dalek said.
The man and woman only have torches.
"It's not a weapon. They're goddamn flashlights. Scan it. What they're holding aren't weapons. You don't have the power to waste it on exterminating others." Jared said, looking back at the Dalek.
"Scans indicate intruders unarmed." The Dalek said.
The man and woman drops the torch. It is Rory and Homura in museum guard uniforms.
"Do you think?" Rory asked, shooting it with his Auton hand weapon.
"Vision impaired! Vision…" The Dalek said, stopping.
"Madoka!" Homura said, looking at Madoka.
"Homura." Madoka said.
Joyful reunion.
"I'm, I'm sorry for not saving you." Homura said. "You dying like that. I can't help it. It, it just happened."
"I know." Madoka said, not letting go of Homura.
Amy kisses Rory.
"Guys. Stop it with the kissing." Jared said, looking at the Ponds, Madoka, and Homura. "And the hugging. Like come on! We have to go."
"Madoka, I waited two thousand years for you." Homura said, as Madoka is still squeezing her.
"I know. You don't have to mention it again, okay?" Madoka asked.
"They're not breaking or breathing." Sayaka said, her hand on her hip. "Well, those two didn't go out much for two thousand years. They must be loyal to Amy and Homura."
"I'm thirsty. Can I get a drink?" Amelia asked.
"Ugh, I love romantic ships. I recently started to love yuri. But it's all mouths and hugs." Jared said, annoyed. "Gah…"
"The light. The light from the Pandorica, it must have hit the Dalek." The Doctor said, and the Dalek's weapon started to move. "Out! Out! Out!"
Museum Reception…
"So, two thousand years. How did you two do with staying in a linear order?" Sayaka asked.
"Um, we kept out of trouble." Homura said, sadly.
"Oh. How did you do that?" Jared asked. "I've wanted to know for a while. In case I forgot."
"Unsuccessfully. The mop! That's how you looked all those years ago when you gave me and Homura the sonic." Rory said, looking at the Doctor.
"Ah. Well, no time to lose, then." The Doctor said.
The Doctor disappeared. Jared then remembered that he had stuff to do too before disappearing.
Jared's home...
"Yachiyo, we have to help Jared." Iroha said.
"And how do you propose we do that?" Yachiyo asked.
"We bring some of the Grief Seeds with us." Iroha said, walking up to the machine to take some out.
"Um, come back, okay?" Kaede asked.
"They'll be fine." Momoko said. "I know you will. Good luck."
Iroha and Yachiyo exited the house.
Jared appeared and he went over to the machine to get a Grief Seed our, before disappearing, "Hi guys! Bye guys!"
Museum Reception…
The Doctor returns and puts the mop through the door handles to the Anomaly exhibition. Jared returns a few seconds later and gives Homura a Grief Seed.
"Sorry about that, Homura." Jared said, watching Homura place the Grief Seed near her Soul Gem to get rid of the impurities. "What did I miss?"
"How can they do that? Are they magic?" Amelia asked.
Jared's home…
Jared reappeared inside his former house, in front of the KMR triangle and some of Team Mikazuki Villa, "You guys need to stock up on Grief Seeds."
"What do you think we're doing?" Rena asked. "There's Daleks among us. And 26 other planets are up in the sky!"
"Um, what's wrong?" Kaede asked.
Jared disappeared in a flash of light.
Museum Reception…
"Right, I told Team Mikazuki Villa and the KMR triangle to stock up on Grief Seeds." Jared said. "If it means that they need to save the people they love from the Wings of Magius."
"Wait! Now I don't have the sonic. I just gave it Rory two thousand years ago. The Doctor said, disappearing again.
Jared disappeared too in a flash of light.
Jared's home…
Jared reappeared in a flash of light, "Good luck saving Tsuruno, Felicia, and Sana. They still love you guys. They'll want to come back. The urge is too strong."
Museum Reception…
The Doctor and Jared reappeared in two separate flashes of light.
"Right then." The Doctor said, retrieving his screwdriver. "Off we go! No, hang on. How did the both of you know to come here?"
Amelia shows him the leaflet and the post-it note.
Mami pointed to Madoka's Soul Gem in it's crystal form and the Grief Seed Homura used up, "That's how."
"Ah, my handwriting. Okay." The Doctor said, grabbing a new leaflet and post-it note from the information desk and vanishes.
Jared disappeared in a flash of light, "Right, have to go back there."
Museum...
12,000 years later.
The Doctor is commenting on the labelling of the various exhibits, "Wrong. Wrong. Bit right, mostly wrong. I love museums."
"Yeah, great. Can we go to a planet now? Big space ship? Churchill's bunker? You and Jared promised me a planet next." Amy said, angrily.
"Amy, this isn't any old asteroid. It's the Delerium Archive, the final resting place of the headless monks. The biggest museum ever." The Doctor said.
"Um, does this museum have a flower shop?" Kaede asked.
"A flower shop?" Past Jared asked, looking at the red haired Magical Girl. "Seriously?"
"She likes flowers." Momoko said, happily. "I thought you knew that by now."
"But still. Where the hell is Rena?"
"She hadn't been picking up her phone." Kaede said, looking around. "But museums, they're cool, um, I guess."
"You've got a time machine. What do you need museums for?" Amy asked, looking at the Doctor.
"Wrong. Very wrong. Ooo, one of mine. Also one of mine." The Doctor said.
Past then spots a Soul Gem display of Magical Girls he recognized, which creeped him out immensely, "Madoka, Sayaka, Kyoko, Homura, Mami…"
"How did they end up here?" Momoko asked.
"How is that possible?" Kaede asked.
"I knew they would be dead someday." Past Jared said, spotting more Soul Gems. "Iroha, Yachiyo, Tsuruno, Felicia, Sana…"
The fanboy then spotted the Soul Gems of Momoko, Rena, and Kaede in the same display case, he then ran in front of it to cover it up, "Spoilers."
"Oh, I see. It's how you keep score." Amy said, and the Doctor is very taken by a square box in a case. "And Jared is covering a case for some reason."
"Let's leave Jared be." Momoko said, walking up to the Doctor and Amy.
"Oh, okay." Kaede said, sadly.
"Oh great, an old box." Amy said, annoyed.
"It's from one of the old starliners. A Home Box." The Doctor said.
"What's a Home Box?" Kaede asked.
"Like a black box on a plane, except it homes. Anything happens to the ship, the Home Box flies home with all the flight data."
"So?" Amy asked.
"The writing, the graffiti. Old High Gallifreyan. The lost language of the Time Lords." The Doctor said, and it is what River was burning into the surface of the box 12,000 years ago. "There were days, there were many days, these words could burn stars and raise up empires, and topple gods."
"Well, what does it say?" Momoko asked.
"Hello, sweetie, darling." The Doctor said.
"Goddamn it." Past Jared said, looking at Momoko and Kaede. "I just figured out where Rena is. And where she's been. She's with her. Probably been seeing idol concerts."
Back in the past, River Song winks at a security camera with Rena standing next to her. In the present, an alarm is sounding and guards are chasing the Doctor, Amy, Past Jared, Momoko, and Kaede back to the Tardis.
Jared appeared in a flash of light and he ran towards the case with the Soul Gems, he spotted Madoka's Soul Gem in the case. He took out a slingshot and some pebbles and broke the glass in the case. The fanboy put the pebbles in the slingshot and fired the rocks at the glass case.
"Okay, Madoka. Time to save you. Because you need saving." Jared said, picking up Madoka's Soul Gem. "Because this is important."
The fanboy disappeared in a flash of light, leaving the other Soul Gems behind. For future use in terms of saving his other friends in the future.
Museum reception...
The Doctor returns with the drink he took from Amelia earlier. Jared returns a few seconds later and gives Madoka her ring, her Soul Gem.
"Here you go, Madoka." Jared said, watching Madoka place her ring back onto her finger. "I knew you were missing something."
"There you go. Drink up." The Doctor said, passing the drink to Amelia.
"What is that? How are you both doing that?" Amy asked, looking between the Doctor and Jared.
"They're vortex manipulators. Basically, cheap and nasty time travel." Jared said, smiling.
Jared opened up a portal with his free hand and he dumped a copy of Madoka's Soul Gem and a Grief Seed through it.
"It's very bad for you. We're trying to give it up." The Doctor said.
"Um, where are we going?" Homura asked.
"I think we're going up to the roof." Madoka said.
A second Doctor and Jared appear further up the stairs, sans fez and the fanboy has a torn up hoodie, and falls down them. Their clothes are smoking.
"Doctor, Jared, it's you. How can it be the both of you?" Rory asked.
"Doctor, Jared, is that you?" Amy asked.
"Yup, that's us." Jared said, sadly. "Me and the Doctor, from the future."
Future Doctor and Future Jared suddenly wakes up and whispers in the Doctor's and Jared's ears, then falls back again.
"Are you? I mean, are they, are they dead?" Homura asked.
"What? Dead? Yeah, right. Of course they're dead." Jared said, grabbing Madoka's hand.
"Right, Jared and I have got twelve minutes. That's good." The Doctor said.
"Twelve minutes to live? How is that good?" Sayaka asked.
"Oh, you can do a lot in twelve minutes." Jared said, happily. "Get a new high score in Dance Dance Revolution, compose a song, have a tea party."
"Let's go to the roof." Sayaka said. "It's this feeling I have."
"Jared, we, we can't leave you and the Doctor here dead." Homura said.
"Okay, are you in charge, Homura Akemi?" Jared asked. "So, what are we gonna do with Amelia Pond and Mami Tomoe?"
Jared looked over to see the seven year old Amelia and four year old Mami no longer there.
"Where did they go?" Amy asked.
"Amelia? Mami?" Rory asked.
"There is no Amelia and Mami. From now on, there never was. History is still collapsing." The Doctor said.
"But how can I still be here if Amelia is not?" Amy asked.
"You're an anomaly." Jared said, letting go of Madoka's hand. "We all are. That's why there haven't been any Witches for you Magical Girls to find."
"And we're all just hanging on at the eye of the storm. But the eye is closing, and if we don't do something fast, reality will never have happened." The Doctor said.
"And just dying today, it's a possibility. Now come on you guys. Let's get to the roof!"
The Doctor and Jared ran off with Madoka, Sayaka, and Homura.
"The Doctor and Jared won't die. Time can be rewritten. They'll find a way. I know they will." Amy said.
Rory covers the dead Doctor with his jacket.
"Move it! Come on!" The Doctor said, nearby.
"Restore. Restore!" The Dalek said.
Roof…
"Um, how is it morning? I thought it was night." Homura said.
"History is shrinking. Is anybody listening to me and Jared?" The Doctor asked.
"The universe is collapsing. We don't have much time left." Jared said, sadly. "Like, the stuff you Magical Girls did. Along with Symphogear and the SAO survivors, it'll cease to exist."
The Doctor sonicks a satellite receiver dish off its pole.
"What are you doing?" Sayaka asked.
"He's looking for the TARDIS." Jared said, smiling.
"But the Tardis exploded." Madoka said, frowning.
"Okay then, I'm looking for an exploding Tardis." The Doctor said.
"I don't understand. So, the Tardis blew up, Madoka died for a few before this version of her possibly become the Law of Cycles, and took the universe with it. But why would it do that? How?" Amy asked.
"Good question for another day. The question for now is, total event collapse means that every star in the universe never happened. Not one single one of them ever shone. So, if all the stars that ever were are gone, then what is that?" The Doctor asked, when a large burning ball in the sky. "Like I said, I'm looking for an exploding Tardis."
"Um, but that's the sun." Homura said.
"Is it? Well, here's the noise that sun is making right now." The Doctor said, and they hear the Tardis noise. "That's my Tardis burning up. That's what's been keeping the Earth warm."
"Doctor, Jared, um, there's something else." Homura said, playing with her hands. "Nearby. I can feel it."
"I'm sorry, my love." River said, nearby.
"We couldn't stop this." Kyoko said, nearby. "We tried. Damn it."
"She's right. There are voices." Rory said.
"I can't hear anything." Amy said.
"Trust the plastic." Rory said.
"I'm sorry, my love." River said, nearby.
"We couldn't stop this." Kyoko said, nearby. "We tried. Damn it."
"I'm sorry, my love."
"We couldn't stop this. We tried. Damn it."
"I'm sorry, my love."
"Doctor, Jared, that's River and Kyoko. How can they be up there?" Madoka asked.
"It must be like a recording or something." Sayaka said. "Like a rerun or a playback loop."
"Nope, it's not." Jared said, sadly. "Right, the emergency protocols. Similar to emergency program one."
"The Tardis has sealed off the control room and put River and Kyoko into a time loop to save them. They are right at the heart of the explosion." The Doctor said.
"I'm sorry, my love." River said, nearby.
"We couldn't stop this. We tried. Damn it." Kyoko said, nearby.
"I'm sorry, my love."
"We couldn't stop this. We tried. Damn it."
"I'm sorry, my love."
(Jared's POV)
Tardis…
River and Kyoko are forever running to the doors, opening them and seeing the rock wall.
"I'm sorry, my love." River said.
"We couldn't stop this." Kyoko said. "We tried. Damn it."
Scene repeats, then the Doctor and I are standing there.
"Hi, honey. I'm home." The Doctor said, happily.
"And what sort of time do you call this?" River asked.
"The hell took you so long?" Kyoko asked.
"Sorry, Kyoko. Had a busy day. Saving each and every one of your asses. I saved Sayaka's, then Homura's, then Madoka's, and finally yours." I said, sadly.
River grabbed the Doctor's hand and Kyoko grabbed my hand. The four of us vanished from the console room.
Rooftop…
"Amy! Madoka! Sayaka! And the plastic Centurions?" River asked.
"It's okay, River. Homura and Rory are on our side." I said, grabbing Sayaka's hand.
"Really?" River asked.
"Yeah. They are." Madoka said, smiling.
"I dated a Nestene duplicate once. Swappable head. It did keep things fresh. Right then, I have questions, but number one is this. What in the name of sanity have you got on your head?" River asked, looking at the Doctor.
"It's a fez. I wear a fez now. Fezzes are cool." The Doctor said.
"Yeah, you look ridiculous." Kyoko said, her hand on her hip.
"Get rid of it. It doesn't suit you, sorry." Sayaka said.
Amy snatches the fez and throws it into the air, where River shoots it into pieces.
"Oh!" The Doctor said.
"Crap." I said, as the Dalek rises up above the parapet. "I forgot about the fucking Dalek."
"Exterminate!" The Dalek said.
"Um, we have to run! Like, like move! Go!" Homura said, worried.
"Come on!" Sayaka said.
The Doctor uses the satellite dish as a shield and we get back into the museum.
Roof access…
"Doctor, come on." River said.
"Quiet. It's moving away from the door. It's trying to find another way in." I said, crossing my arms. "Well, it needs to restore its power before it can attack again."
"Now, that means we've got exactly four and a half minutes before it's at lethal capacity." The Doctor said.
"How do you know?" Madoka asked.
"Because that's when it's due to kill me and Jared."
"Kill you? What do you mean, kill you and Jared?" Kyoko asked.
"Oh, shut up, Kyoko. It doesn't matter, okay?" I asked, grabbing Sayaka's hand.
"How can that Dalek even exist? It was erased from time and then it came back." The Doctor said.
Upper corridor…
"How?" The Doctor asked.
"You said the light from the Pandorica…" Sayaka said.
"It's not a light." I said, squeezing Sayaka's hand. "It's a restoration field. Big difference, Little Mermaid."
"But never mind, call it a light. That light brought Amy and Madoka back, restored them…" The Doctor said.
"Wait, how the hell did it bring back a Dalek if the Daleks never existed?" Kyoko asked.
"Okay, um, do you know why, Doctor?" Homura asked.
"When the Tardis blew up and when Madoka Kaname died, it caused a total event collapse. A time explosion. And there was also an explosion of karmic destiny. And those explosions blasted every atom in every moment of the universe." The Doctor said.
"Except…" I said, smirking.
"Except inside the Pandorica." Madoka said.
"The perfect prison. And inside it, perfectly preserved, a few billion atoms of the universe as it was." The Doctor said.
"And this, it has a perfect billion atoms of stuff that was important to the universe. Impurities from Magical Girls, phonic gain, memories, as well as remnants of the Law of Cycles." I said, holding up a pendant in the shape of ocean waves. "Basically a hell of a lot of power."
"He's right, Jared has been preparing for this for months now. In theory, you could extrapolate the whole universe from a single one of them, like, like cloning a body from a single cell. And we've got the bumper family pack." The Doctor said.
"No, no. Too fast. I'm not getting it." Rory said.
"The box contains a memory of the universe, that pendant contains the importance of the universe, and the light transmits the memory, and that's how we're going to do it." The Doctor said.
"Do what?" Amy asked.
"We're gonna relight the fire. Reboot the universe. Because it's gonna be a lot of fun. Come on, everyone!" I said, excitedly.
"Doctor, Jared, you're being completely ridiculous. The Pandorica partially restored one Dalek. If it can't even reboot a single life form properly, how's it reboot the whole of reality with those other elements in that pendant?" River asked.
"What if we give it a moment of infinite power? What if we can transmit the light from the Pandorica and a lot of phonic gain and impurities to every particle of space and time simultaneously?" The Doctor asked.
"Well, that would be lovely, dear, darling, but we can't, because it's completely impossible."
"River, you have to think of the big picture, okay? It's almost completely impossible. One spark is all we need." I said, happily.
"For what?" River asked.
"Big Bang Two! Because this is the second half of my favorite adventure."
"Now listen." The Doctor said.
The Dalek shoots the Doctor. It had another shot charged, it then shot me.
"Exterminate! Exterminate!" The Dalek said.
"Get back. Um, get back, you guys." Homura said.
"Exterminate!"
Homura shoots at the Dalek and it powers down again.
"Doctor? Doctor, it's me, River. Can you hear me? What is it? What do you need?" River asked.
"You dummy! What do you need to make you feel better?" Kyoko asked, looking down at me. "Aqours, what's his Aura level at?"
"20 percent." Aqours said, it's voice coming out of my pendant.
The Doctor and I activate the vortex manipulators and vanishes.
"Where did they go? Damn it, they could be anywhere." River said, annoyed.
"They went downstairs, twelve minutes ago." Madoka said, sadly.
"Show me!"
"River, the Doctor and Jared died." Sayaka said.
"Systems restoring. You will be exterminated." The Dalek said.
"We've got to move. That thing's coming back to life." Rory said.
"You lot go to the Doctor and Jared. I'll be right with you." River said.
Amy, Rory, Madoka, Sayaka, Kyoko, and Homura leave.
"You will be exterminated!" The Dalek said.
"Not yet. Your systems are still restoring, which means your shield density is compromised. One Alpha Mezon burst through your eyestalk would kill you stone dead." River said, aiming a gun at the Dalek.
"Records indicate you will show mercy. You are an associate of the Doctor and Storyteller's."
"I'm River Song. Check your records again."
"Mercy."
"Say it again."
"Mercy!"
"One more time."
"Mercy!"
(Open POV)
Museum Reception…
The Doctor and Jared's bodies are not there, although Rory's jacket is.
"How could they have moved? They were dead. Doctor? Jared? Doctor! Jared!" Rory said, angrily.
"But they were dead." Madoka said, frowning.
"Who told you that?" River asked.
"They did."
"Rule one. The Doctor and Jared lie." River said.
"Um, where's the Dalek?" Homura asked.
"It died."
Anomaly Exhibition…
The Doctor and Jared are in the Pandorica.
"Doctor!" Amy said.
"Jared!" Sayaka said.
"Why did they tell us they were dead?" Madoka asked.
"We were a diversion. As long as the Dalek was chasing us, they could work down here." Kyoko said, her eyes widening. "Damn it. Jared was protecting us Magical Girls and working down here with the Doctor."
"Doctor, Jared, can you hear me? What were you doing?" River asked.
The light from the Tardis is getting brighter. There are feathers falling from the sky.
"What's happening?" Rory asked.
"Reality's collapsing. It's speeding up. Look at this room." River said.
"Where'd everything go?" Amy asked, looking behind her to see the exhibits empty.
"History's being erased. Time's running out. Doctor, Jared, what were you doing? Tell us. Doctor! Jared!" River said, looking herself the Doctor and Jared.
"Big Bang Two." Jared said, sadly.
"The Big Bang. That's the beginning of the universe, right?" Madoka asked.
"What, and Big Bang Two is the bang that brings us back? Is that what you mean?" Sayaka asked.
"Yeah…" Jared said, sadly.
"Oh." River said.
"What?" Amy asked.
"The Tardis is still burning. It's exploding at every point in history with the karmic destiny and fate surrounding Madoka Kaname. If you threw the Pandorica into the explosion with the impurities of Magical Girls and the phonic gain Symphogear gets from singing and fighting in their battles, right into the heart of the fire." River said, looking at her parents, Madoka, Sayaka, Kyoko, and Homura.
"Um, what happens next?" Homura asked.
"Then let there be light. The light from the Pandorica would explode everywhere at once, and there are remnants of the Law of Cycles keeping everything in the balance, just like they said." River said.
"Would that work? Will it bring everything back?" Kyoko asked.
"A restoration field powered by an exploding Tardis, phonic gain, impurities from Magical Girls, happening at every moment in history. Oh, that's brilliant. It might even work. They've wired the vortex manipulator and the pendant full of faith and hope to the rest of the box." River said, looking over the Pandorica.
"Why?" Amy asked.
"So they can take it with them. They're going to fly the Pandorica into the heart of the explosion."
"So, you don't know what to expect, huh." Kyoko said, walking up to Jared. "In terms of the future."
"I'm not even from this universe." Jared said, frowning. "I spent years worrying about what would happen to me."
"What do you think would happen?" Madoka asked.
"Me being stuck in the void between the worlds."
"That's, um, the end of the line?" Homura asked.
"Yeah." Jared said, looking at Madoka, Sayaka, Homura, and Kyoko. "Sorry about Mami. She no longer exists."
"It's fine. You can fix this, right?" Madoka asked.
"Yeah. I can. But I got to see Team RWBY reunite. That's all I care about. In the end."
A short time later.
"Are you okay?" Rory asked.
"Are you?" Amy asked.
"No."
"Well, shut up then!"
"Amy, they want to talk to you." River said.
"So, what happens here? Big Bang Two? What happens to us?" Amy asked.
"We all wake up where we ought to be. None of this ever happens and we don't remember it."
"River, tell me they come back, too." Madoka said, walking towards River,
"The Doctor and Jared will be the heart of the explosion." River said.
"So, what does that mean?" Sayaka asked.
"So all the cracks in time will close, but they'll be on the wrong side, trapped in the never-space, the void between the worlds. All memory of them will be purged from the universe. They will never have been born. Now, please. Amy, they want to talk to you before they go."
"Not to you?" Amy asked.
"They don't really know me yet. Now they never will."
Amy goes to the Pandorica. The Doctor and Jared are very weak.
"Hi." Amy said.
"Hello, Amelia Jessica Pond." Jared said, letting out a sigh.
"How are you?"
"I'm good. So, Amy Pond, the girl who waited. All night, in your garden. On the outskirts of the village of Leadworth. Was it worth it? Being a part of my life. You, Rory, and River used to be a fairy tale to me."
"Shut up. Of course it was."
"You asked us why we were taking you with us and we said, no reason. We were lying." The Doctor said.
"It's not important." Amy said.
"Yeah, it's the most important thing left in the universe."
"It's why we're doing this, Amy. I spent a year defending the Earth. Ought to save the universe for the first time." Jared said, laughing a little.
"Amy, your house was too big. That big, empty house, and just you."
"And Aunt Sharon." Amy said.
"Where were your mum and dad? Where was everybody who lived in that big house?" The Doctor asked.
"I lost my Mum and Dad."
"How? What happened? Where'd they go?" Jared asked.
"I, I don't…"
"Amy, it's okay. Don't panic. Everything's fine. You're fine. No need to worry. It's not your fault."
"I don't even remember." Amy said.
"There was a crack in time in the wall of your bedroom, and it's been eating away at your life for a long time now." The Doctor said.
"Amelia Jessica Pond, you were all alone."
"The girl who didn't make sense. How could I resist?"
"You next to an Impossible Girl. How could I resist a mystery like you two?" Jared asked, looking at Amy. "I won't meet that Impossible Girl properly for ages."
"How could I just forget?" Amy asked.
"Nothing is ever forgotten. Not really. But you have to try." The Doctor said.
"Doctor! Jared! It's speeding up!" River said, angrily.
Amy puts the Doctor's sonic screwdriver in his pocket.
"There's going to be a very big bang. Big Bang Two. Try and remember your family and they'll be there." The Doctor said.
"Amy, listen to me. Memories become stories when you forget them. Maybe some of them become songs." Jared said, smiling. "Just believe in the song of your heart, okay? Remember them."
"How can I remember them if they never existed?" Amy asked.
"Because you're special. You're as special as the most important woman of the whole of creation. As special as the DoctorDonna."
"Yeah, that is so true. That crack in your wall, all that time, the universe pouring into your head. You brought Rory and Homura back. You can bring them back, too. You just remember and they'll be there." The Doctor said.
"The two of you won't." Amy said.
"You'll have your family back. You won't need your imaginary friend and your fanboy any more. Ha! Amy Pond crying over us, eh? Guess what?"
"What?"
"Gotcha." The Doctor said,
"Madoka, Homura, Kyoko, and Sayaka." Jared said, smiling. "Thank you for everything. If this works, you'll see Mami again. But I won't ever see Team RWBY. Bye. Love you all. Miss you."
The Pandorica closes.
"Back! Get back!" River said, angrily.
The Pandorica takes off.
River gets a text message, "It's from the Doctor."
"What does it say?" Amy asked.
"Geronimo." River said.
River gets another text message, "And there's one from Jared."
"The hell does it say?" Kyoko asked.
"Bonsai." River said.
"Meteoroid falling, burning, and disappearing, then…" Jared said, saying the Symphogear subtitles that he heard from the wielders. "In the distance, that day, when the star became music...believe in justice, and hold a determination to fist...by shedding many tears, the reality you face is...create a history, with the light God could not know."
The Pandorica reaches the Tardis.
"Can't believe you actually said it all." The Doctor said, looking over at Jared. "And it makes complete sense. When you link them all together."
There is another explosion.
"This will be the day …" Jared said, letting out tears. "When it's time to say goodbye…and when it falls...let's just live...because the triumph...will be rising...so trust love…"
Everything reverses back to the start of the previous chapter.
(Jared's POV)
Tardis…
The Doctor and I sit up on the floor of the Tardis.
"Oh! Okay. We escaped, then." The Doctor said.
"Yup." I said, grabbing the Doctor's hand. "We escaped that hellhole."
"That's brilliant. I love it when I do that."
"Me too. Got everything, Spaceman?"
"Let me check. Legs, yes. Bow tie, cool. I can buy a fez."
"Lyle beach. The beach is the best. Automatic sand." Doctor 2 said, nearby.
"Automatic sand? The hell does that mean?" Kyoko asked, nearby.
"Can you tell us?" Madoka asked, nearby.
"We would really like to know." Sayaka said, nearby.
"Well, the sand. It's totally automated." Past me said, nearby. "I do love the beach. After all."
"Automatic sand. It's a bit vague!" Amy said, nearby.
"Oh." I said, sadly. "Right. I forgot this adventure."
"Cleans up the lolly sticks all by itself." Doctor 2 said.
"No, hang on. Jared, that's last week when we went to Space Florida with Amy, Madoka, Sayaka, and Kyoko. We couldn't bring Mami since she had to watch Mitakihara City." The Doctor said, looking at me.
"Raggedy Man, we're rewinding. Our time streams. They're unraveling, erasing. And they're closing." I said, sadly. "Right after I see Team RWBY reunite too…"
The crack in the scanner slowly closes and disappears.
"Hello, universe. Goodbye, Doctor and Jared." The Doctor said. "Amy. Amy."
"Amelia! Can you hear us?" I asked.
And back through The Lodger.
Aickman Street…
"Ah, three weeks ago, when she put the card in the window." The Doctor said.
"And before Team RWBY reunited. Before the Battle of Haven." I said, looking at the Doctor.
"Amy!"
"Amelia! We…"
"We need to tell you something. She can hear us. But if she can hear us…"
There is a crack in the road. And back to…
Maze of the Dead…
"Good luck, everyone. Behave. Do not let those girls open their eyes. And keep watching the forest. Stop those Angels advancing. Amy, Kaede, later. River, going to need your computer!" Doctor 2 said, running off.
I walked over to Kaede and moved her a couple inches away from me, the Doctor, and Amy for a bit.
"Amy, you need to start trusting us. It's never been more important." The Doctor said.
"Yup." I said, looking at Amy.
"But Doctor, Jared, you don't always tell me the truth. And Jared, you don't always tell Team RWBY the truth." Amy said.
"We know, we know. That cost some strain between me and Team RWBY for a bit. But they knew it was inevitable."
"And if we always told you the truth, we wouldn't need you to trust us." The Doctor said, still holding Amy's hand. "That's what Jared tries to do with us. When we used to be fairy tales to him."
"Doctor, Jared, the crack in my wall. How can it be here?" Amy asked.
"I don't know yet but I'm working it out." The Doctor said.
"I know why it's here. But I can't say why yet. It's spoilers." I said, sadly.
"Now, listen. Remember what we told you when you were seven?" The Doctor asked, looking at Amy.
"What did the both of you tell me?" Amy asked.
"Amy, that's not the point. For god's sake!" I said, annoyed.
"Yeah. You have to remember." The Doctor said.
The Doctor kissed Amy's forehead before walking away with Jared.
"Remember what? Doctor? Jared? Doctor? Jared?" Amy asked.
Amy's home…
"I missed this. I wanted to get away from you for a bit. After what happened during the Year that Never Was." I said, sadly. "Managed to do the stuff with Prisoner Zero."
And back near the start of the fan fiction book.
"I know. I wondered where you went for a bit. At least we're at Amelia's house. When she was seven. The night she waited." The Doctor said, smiling.
Outside Amy's home…
"Yeah, she'll always be the cute, innocent girl, in my heart." I said, looking at the Doctor. "Even if she'll have to lose her faith in us someday."
Little Amelia has fallen asleep outside, lying on her suitcase.
"The girl who waited. Come here, you." The Doctor said, picking up Amelia.
I picked up Amelia's suitcase.
Amy's bedroom…
The Doctor puts Amelia to bed.
"It's funny. We thought if you could hear us, we could hang on somehow." The Doctor said, sadly.
"Doctor, that's a bit silly. Now that we think about it." I said, grabbing the Doctor's hand.
"When you wake up, you'll have a mum and dad, and you won't even remember us. Well, you'll remember us a little."
"Y'know what's sad. Iroha, Yachiyo, and Ui met Jeanne d'Arc. In the future. Or was it the past? They became a story in her head. In Tart's head. Now we'll be a story in Amelia's head."
"Yeah. I now know that." The Doctor said, as I squeezed his hand. "But that's okay. We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best."
"Doctor Who. The ultimate fairytale of them all. It was about a daft old man who stole a magic box and he ran away from home." I said, smirking.
"Amy, did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I was always going to take it back. Oh, that box. Amy, you'll dream about that box. It'll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand new and ancient, and the bluest blue ever."
"My whole life is basically a fairy tale. I hung around fairy tales too. Like Team RWBY and JNPR. Around Magical Girls. Like Madoka, Sayaka, Kyoko, Homura, and Mami. They were the Puella Magi Holy Quintet. Iroha, Yachiyo, Tsuruno, Felicia, and Sana. Team Mikazuki Villa. Momoko, Rena, and Kaede. The KMR triangle. The Wings of Magius. Touka, Nemu, Ui, Mifuyu, Tsukasa, and Tsukuyo. And there were the sensational seven Symphogear wielders. Hibiki, Miku, Chris, Tsubasa, Shirabe, Kirika, and Maria." I said, letting out more tears. "The SAO survivors. There was this floating castle called Aincrad. And a world tree in ALFheim. Full of Norse mythology. And a post-apocalyptic earth filled with guns. I could go on for days."
"Yeah. You could. You rambled on enough, Jared. And the times we had, eh? Would have had. Never had. In your dreams, they'll still be there. The Doctor, Amy Pond, Jared Shay, Team RWBY, and the days that never came. The cracks are closing. But they can't close properly until we're on the other side. We don't belong here any more."
"Doctor, let's skip the rest of the rewind. It'll bring us to our farewell tour." I said, looking back at the Doctor.
"That's true. We hate repeats. Live well. Love Rory. Bye bye, Pond." The Doctor said, as he stood up with me.
"It was nice knowing you, Amy."
The Doctor and I go through the crack in the wall. It closes. Amelia wakes up, looks around and goes back to sleep while the stars twinkle in the sky.
Kirito and Asuna's home...
I opened my eyes to see that I'm lying down on a couch. I looked around to see that I am on Floor 22, in the floating castle known as Aincrad.
"What am I doing here?" I asked.
"You're awake." Silica said, smiling. "Everyone was worried about you. All over."
"I called everyone. All of your friends." Yui said, in her human form.
"Big Bang Two! Did it work?" I asked.
"It worked." Kyubey said, appearing in the room. "You and the Doctor saved the universe."
"There was a chance of it failing." Elfnein said.
"You dummy!" Chris said, angrily. "What if you never came out of it?"
"If Kyubey is here. And everyone else is…" I said, my eyes widening. "What's today's date?"
"It's the 26th of June." Tsubasa said. "2010."
"Amy and Rory's wedding day." Sayaka said.
"I'm not used to having this many people here." Asuna said. "Everyone appeared across time. In our little log cabin."
"With modified AmuSpheres." Kirito said.
"So, how are we gonna do this?" Miku asked. "We can't barge in there."
"Jared, you have way too much of a friend group." Asuna said.
"Says the one who married the one who started it." I said, laughing a lot.
"What was that?"
"Nothing. Nothing."
"Who is gonna show up to that shindig?" Kyoko asked.
"I'm gonna do it simple. Just the Puella Magi Holy Quintet." I said, smiling. "You girls need a break."
"Oh." Sayaka said, frowning. "That sounds like a good idea."
I swiped my hand to load up the menu to log off of ALFheim Online.
(Open POV)
Jared's TARDIS bedroom…
Jared went over to his desk to see that the photo album is in sync with everything he had done so far with the people he trusts, the ones he knows and loves.
His friends from Remnant, the SAO survivors, Magical Girls, and Symphogear. There was a knock on his bedroom door.
The door opened and it was revealed to be Sayaka.
"Are you gonna be at this all day?" Sayaka asked. "How long does it take for you to pick a suit?"
"I'm not that much of a suit and tie person." Jared said, sadly. "What are you wearing?"
"A nice blue and white dress."
"Hi." Madoka said, entering, and she is wearing a cute, pink dress. "Are you ready?"
Jared grabbed a suit and tie from his closet, "Not yet. It's weird. Keeping secrets from Amy."
"Didn't you always keep secrets from Amy?" Kyoko asked, entering Jared's bedroom.
"Well, not anymore."
"What are you gonna do now?" Mami asked, wearing a yellow dress.
"Tell her everything. Bit by bit." Jared said, smiling.
"Let's hope it works out for you." Madoka said.
"Do you, um, think it'll work?" Homura asked, wearing a white dress.
"Why not? Jared said he will reveal everything slowly."
"I did." Jared said, walking towards the bathroom with the suit and tie.
TARDIS console room…
Jared entered the console room wearing his suit and tie and the Puella Magi Holy Quintet are in dresses, "Hello, Spaceman."
"Right. We have a wedding we need to crash." The Doctor said.
"We're really gonna crash Amy's wedding." Madoka said. "Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"Isn't Leadworth a village where everyone knows everything about someone?" Sayaka asked.
"Well, yeah." Jared said. "I was there for a while. Took them a while to open up to me."
"What, what are we gonna do?" Homura asked.
"We will crash the wedding." Mami said. "Even if it is a bad idea."
"Will Amy try to kiss the Doctor again?" Madoka asked.
"Maybe." Jared said, leaning against the TARDIS console.
Wedding reception…
"Sorry. Sorry, everyone. But when I was a kid, I had an imaginary friend and a fanboy." Amy said.
"Oh no, not this again." Tabetha said, annoyed.
"The raggedy Doctor. My raggedy Doctor. And a fanboy. My fanboy. But the raggedy Doctor wasn't imaginary, he was real. And Jared, he wasn't a fanboy, he was family."
"The psychiatrists we sent her to."
"I remember you. I remember! I brought the others back, I can bring you home, too. Raggedy man, I remember you and our fanboy, and the both of you are late for my wedding!" Amy said, while the glasses start rattling, very gently. "I found you. I found the both of you in words, like you knew I would. That's why, Doctor, you told me the story, the brand new, ancient blue box. And Jared, you told me that memories become stories. Maybe some of them become songs. Like you said, you loved music, after all."
A strong wind blows the balloons around.
"Oh, clever. Very clever." Amy said.
"Amy, what is it?" Rory asked.
"Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something blue." Amy said. "The TARDIS wheezing noise is like a song. A song of hope. Jared wasn't wrong there."
The Tardis materialises in the middle of the room.
"It's the Doctor and Jared. How did we forget the Doctor and Jared? I was plastic. The Doctor was the stripper at my stag. Long story." Rory said.
Amy knocks on the Tardis door, "Okay, Doctor, Jared. Did I surprise the both of you this time?"
The Doctor appears in top hat and tails and Jared is behind him wearing a suit and tie. The Holy Quintet is near the console wearing their dresses.
"Yeah. I'm surprised, Amy. I didn't expect that. Not like I watch it happen on TV." Jared said, smiling.
"How lucky I happened to be wearing this old thing. Hello, everyone. I'm Amy's imaginary friend. But I came anyway." The Doctor said, exiting the TARDIS.
"I'm Jared Shay. I'm a fanboy of Amy! She was imaginary to me. Back in my world before I met her. Now she's real. I came here." Jared said, walking behind the Doctor. "Meet the Puella Magi Holy Quintet. They're good friends of mine."
"Hi." Madoka said, happily.
"Hello." Mami said.
"Hey." Kyoko said.
"Um, hi." Homura said.
"Hey." Sayaka said. "What's up?"
"You absolutely, definitely may kiss the bride." Amy said, walking up to the Doctor.
"Amelia, from now on I shall be leaving the kissing duties to the brand new Mister Pond." The Doctor said, shaking Rory's hand.
"No, I'm not Mister Pond. That's not how it works." Rory said.
"Yeah, it is."
"Yeah, it is."
"Right then, everyone. I'll move my box. You're going to need the space. I only came for the dancing."
Later, in the disco phase of the party, Jared tried his best to replicate Johnny B Goode seen in Back to the Future. Next, the Doctor is moving to the rhythm of Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen.
"You're terrible. That is embarrassing!" Amy said, annoyed.
"That's it. That's good. Keep it loose."
The little children love him.
"So, you thought you would never come back." Sayaka said, looking at Jared.
"Yeah. I was afraid you guys would be gone too." Jared said, sipping a cup of coffee. "Like, time bent a little to compensate for us."
"Wasn't the universe fine without us Magical Girls or Symphogear?" Kyoko asked. "According to you."
"I suppose."
"Um, what changed?" Homura asked.
"I don't know. Time definitely changed and adapted. But why?"
"Why not find out?" Mami asked.
"We can find out together, okay?" Madoka asked.
"Right. We will." Jared said, happily.
And later, when the tempo is slowed for the smooch tunes like You Give Me Something by James Morrison.
The Doctor watches Amy and Rory dance. And Jared watches Madoka dance with Homura and Sayaka is dancing with Kyoko.
"Two thousand years. The boy who waited." The Doctor said.
"And Homura mostly fulfilled her promise to Madoka." Jared said, smiling. "All it took was two thousand years. I think."
"Yeah. Madoka and Homura. Along with Amy and Rory. Good on you, mates."
The Doctor snuck off with Jared.
Outside Amy's house…
Which is where the Doctor parked the Tardis.
"Did you both dance? Well, you always dance at weddings, don't you?" River asked.
"You tell me." The Doctor said.
"Did we dance?" Jared asked. "And do I still like weddings, River?"
"Spoilers." River said. "Even though you're still young, Jared. I wonder what you're like back then."
"Spoilers."
The Doctor returns the book and vortex manipulator to River, "The writing's all back, but I didn't peek."
"Thank you." River said.
"So, River, have you met Team RWBY?" Jared asked, telepathically.
"Yes, I have." River said, telepathically. "The Doctor can't hear us. Only you can."
"When did you?"
"A long time ago. Involving Nazis."
"Let's Kill Hitler?"
"Yeah. You do know most of my timeline, after all. Darling, you're still so young."
"Why are you and Weiss worried about me?" Jared asked, telepathically. "Like more than ever."
"Spoilers." River said, telepathically.
"River, who are you?" The Doctor asked.
"Doctor, Jared, you're going to find out very soon now. And I'm sorry, but that's when everything changes." River said, vanishing.
"Nah." The Doctor said.
Tardis…
"Oi! Where are the both of you off to? We haven't even had a snog in the shrubbery yet." Amy said, annoyed.
"Amy!" Rory said, angrily.
"Shut up. It's my wedding."
"Our wedding."
"Um, where are you going?" Homura asked, entering the TARDIS.
Madoka, Sayaka, Kyoko, and Mami followed her inside.
"Is it anywhere interesting?" Madoka asked.
"Something worth looking into." Mami said.
"Where is it?" Sayaka asked.
"Like hell are we leaving you and the Doctor unchecked, Jared." Kyoko said, angrily.
"I'm sorry, you guys. I shouldn't have snuck off with the Doctor. I'm a bit busy. Figuring out what's next." Jared said, leaning against the TARDIS console.
"The both of you just saved the whole of space and time? Take the evening off. Maybe a bit of tomorrow." Rory said.
"Space and time isn't safe yet. The Tardis exploded and there were remnants of the Law of Cycles for a reason. Something drew the Tardis to this particular date, and blew it up." The Doctor said.
"Also, something caused you Magical Girls to pop up in this universe sporadically. When they were fiction. In a gacha game before. You were fake, now you're real. Like back in 2007, when Rose was with us. The Incubators weren't around." Jared said, sadly. "In 2008, with Martha. Symphogear wasn't around. They were also fiction. But what caused you guys to pop up? Along with the TARDIS exploding. Why? And why now?"
The phone starts ringing.
"The Silence, whatever it is, is still out there, and Jared and I have to. Excuse me a moment." The Doctor said, and he answers the telephone. "Hello? Oh, hello. I'm sorry, this is a very bad line. No, no, no, but that's not possible. She was sealed into the seventh Obelisk. I was at the prayer meeting. Well, no, I get that it's important. An Egyptian goddess loose on the Orient Express, in space. Give us a mo."
"So, another adventure?" Sayaka asked.
"This could be fun." Madoka said, happily.
"It could be interesting." Mami said.
"Would there be Witches along the way?" Kyoko asked.
"Um, possibly." Homura said, sadly. "We don't know what to expect."
"At least things haven't changed that much from what I remember them." Jared said, still leaning against the TARDIS console.
"Sorry, something's come up. This will have to be goodbye." The Doctor said, looking at the Ponds.
"Yeah, I think it's goodbye. Do you think it's goodbye?" Amy asked.
"Definitely goodbye." Rory said.
Amy goes to the door and shouts to Leadworth, "Goodbye! Goodbye."
"Don't worry about a thing, your Majesty. We're on our way." The Doctor said.
