Beast Tamer

The next day Leon woke up and went into the bathroom. The bathroom was really similar to a modern-day bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and everything. After taking a long shower he went towards Nadita's room and knocked on the door.

"Hello Nadita, are you awake?"

When there was no answer after a minute of waiting, he went down in the lobby that transformed itself into a kitchen and prepared breakfast for himself. He ate his food and waited for another five minutes. There was still no sound from first floor, so he went up and knocked again.

"I'm coming in now Ok?"

He said after a lack of an answer he just entered and to his surprise the bed was empty and so was the bathroom.

'Did she run during the night? No, the protections on the main door should be still intact then… Oh, fuck I have to save her!'

He ran up into the second floor he passed through a transparent barrier and what he saw surprised him even after living for 500 years he had never seen something like that. There where five monsters and in their middle was Nadita but she wasn't dead as he had expected no, she played with the monsters. She seemed to have no fear of the five monsters. The monsters were as tall as a grown human and had wolf like features, they were called Wargs. Mages could tame magical beasts and monsters like these, but it needed a lot of time and magic power to control them. The advantage was once you control them, they will follow you for the end of day. But the beast still had all their instincts and needs and as long as their owner wouldn't command them otherwise, they would rip apart any human that would get to close to them. So, Leon was wandering why not the girl?

"Josh, Sally, Pepe, Finn and Nermin come here!"

Leon commanded them to come to him and get away from Nadita. They didn't seem aggressive but safety first.

"Please wait why can't I coddle them anymore?"

And that was the next shock for Leon the moment Nadita said that he could feel his control over the Wargs slip for a moment.

'She has to have it… No, impossible I haven't seen someone with it in decades and now a small kid has it?'

Leon though for a moment but came to the conclusion that there was only one possibility to know if he was right.

"Come with me for a moment! You need to do a test!"

Leon started walking down the stairs. Nadita threw one last sad look toward the Wargs and followed Leon. Leon walked out of the tower and pulled a crystal ball out of his pocket or did it seem, but the ball was way too big to fit in his pocket.

"You have to hold this ball in your hand and focus on it with all the mana you got."

Leon continued to explain how to focus your mana.

"What will it do, is it a spell? Can I become a mage?"

Asked Nadita with a hyped expression.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out. It will show your magic talent and any other skills you may poses."

Leon pulled out another ball and held his hand on it. The ball began brightly glowing in ten different colours and a humanoid form could be seen changing its appearance constantly. When he put his hand down the glowing stopped. Nadita followed his example and put her hand on her ball. She focused her magic in it and the ball started glowing in seven different colours, but the glow wasn't even close to being as bright as Leon's. It glowed red, blue, white, brown, gold, black and purple with each colour standing for a different element she had an attitude for. But suddenly a giant monster appeared in the ball and it bowed down.

"What does that mean?"

Nadita was a little confused because Leon never told her what the colours meant.

"The seven different colours mean that you are adapt in fire, water, wind, earth, light, darkness and space magic. The glow will get brighter the more you train and with a lot of effort you can even get adapt in the other three elements. As for the kneeling monster it means you have a rare talent to control beast. I've only seen it twice in my live so far. Once was a crazy mage rampaging trough towns on the back of a dragon and the other time was my best friend and one of the only 9 people in this world that could have a chance versus me in a fight."
