"Let's start, the battle royale!" Present-mic announced. As expected, everyone started rushing towards Yumi's team. "Lightning dragon's roar!" Yumi launched a lightning roar and hit three of the teams. "Let's get moving, if we don't lose our headband, we would be in first place." Yumi said.

There was another team coming from the left, "Die!" Bakugou shouted as he shot an explosion at them but they dodged. It was a class 1-B team, one of them used their quirk and Yumi's team started to sink into the floor. "Quick Bakugou-kun! Use your explosions to boost us up and I'll do the rest!" Yumi said.

Bakugou nodded, he did a medium-sized explosion to get them half-way out and Yumi used the wind around to pull them upwards. She focused her magic and brought all of them to the sky, "I can't maintain this for long, but we gonna start attacking." Yumi said.

"Aye aye captain." Kirishima replied. Bakugou looked downwards to search for an enemy, "Deku, let's go after him." Bakugou said. Yumi knew this was his grudge and didn't want to help but it's a good strategy as Midoriya came second. Yumi nodded her head in agreement with Bakugou's plan.

"They have the support items allowing them to fly, let's let other teams force them up in the air and we can corner them off there." Yumi suggested. Bakugou huffed, not wanting to wait but he knows this is the best plan they can have.

As predicted, Midoriya's team has been forced into the air. Yumi launched a surprise attack, "Water Dragon's Roar!" She yelled as she attacked them from the back, their blindspot. Unfortunately, it was blocked by Tokoyami's dark shadow.

Yumi quickly landed her team on the ground as safely as she could, "I can't carry all of us up there, I'll go alone." Yumi said and she jumped off her teammates and used her sky dragon slayer magic to grow a pair of white feathered wings. "Woah! Yumi had wings?" Mina exclaimed in shock.

Yumi quickly flew past them, attempting to grab their headband. "Light Dragon's Dazzling gleam!" She said as she released a bright light that blinded them. She reached for the headband but was stopped by Midoriya.

Yumi quickly noticed that dark shadow didn't managed to stop her attack which leads to her conclusion that dark shadow is weak to light. She could feel that her magic was starting to run out, summoning her wings and maintaining the consumes a large amount of magic and fighting Midoriya's team is draining her magic even more.

Then, an ice shard flew towards her. She dodged but not fully, there was a cut on her right leg. She quickly looked down and noticed it was Todoroki, 'I can't fight him alone, I need the team.' Yumi thought to herself as she dispelled her wings and dropped straight down, right before she hit the ground, she released a gush of air that propelled her back to the team. "What took you so damn long, I was bored!" Bakugou yelled at her, partially concerned with the stunt she just did.

"Todoroki is attacking us now! I can't use much of my quirk now!" Yumi replied, anxious. "It's okay! We will cover for you!" Mina replied with enthusiasm. Todoroki's team quickly approached, "Kaminari! Do it now!" Todoroki shouted.

Kaminari nodded, "Indiscriminate discharge! 1,300,000 volts!" He shouted as he launched a lightning attack at Yumi's team. Yumi smiled, she held out her hand and manipulated Kaminari's lightning into a compressed ball of magic and ate it. "Thanks for the meal, Kaminari-kun! Now I'm all fired up!" Yumi shouted. With her energy is replenished, she decided to launch a counterattack.

The audience was shocked as Yumi just ate Kaminari's lightning. Bakugou smirked in response, he knew that teaming up with Yumi was right. "It's time for payback, Lightning Dragon's Roar!" She yelled as she shot a beam of powerful lightning at them. Todoroki quickly put up an ice barrier to block it but it shattered, then Yaoyorozu created an insulator so they don't get hurt.

Bakugou quickly launched explosions at them and Mina threw her acid. "You're going down half and half bastard!" Bakugou yelled in anger. Todoroki blocked out all other exits and made a wall of ice surrounding them.

"Well, we weren't going anywhere to begin with, but remember, it's not us who is stuck with you. It's you that's stuck with us." Yumi said as she grinned. Bakugou smirked at her statement, "I guess we think alike extra!" Bakugou yelled.

Yumi decided to use her fire magic to defend against his ice, since it's the most effective. But she can't use much of her magic and time is running out, there was a minute and a half left. Then, she heard Iida say, "Hold on tight."

Yumi knew something was wrong, he probably has something up his sleeves. "Get ready for their attack!" She quickly announced. "Recipro burst!" Iida yelled as they came to Yumi at a really fast speed. Yumi used her arm to block Todoroki from reaching her headband, then she reached to grab their headband but was blocked yet again by Yaoyorozu.

"Damn it! We gotta stay away from them, that was dangerous." Yumi said. "No! We are going to fight them head on!" Bakugou shouted, not wanting to escape. "I can't use my quirk for longer" Yumi replied, feeling pain from the arm that she used to block Todoroki.

"Tch!" Bakugou clicked his tongue as he threw more explosions because he was pissed off. Then another team came, they probably made a hole in the ice wall. They reached out for Yumi's headband. Yumi quickly dodged and formed a wind barrier around the team, "The wind barrier should keep them out for a while, enough time till the game ends." Yumi said.

After a few seconds or so, the game has come to an end. "Time's up! Let's take a look at our rankings!" Present-mic announced. "We have, Team Yumi in first place! Team Todoroki in the second place! Team Shinso at third and Team Midoriya at fourth!" He added.

Yumi got off, "Thanks guys! You're the best teammates i could ask for!" Yumi smiled. Mina shook her head, "You did most of the work Yumi! I feel bad." Mina replied. Yumi waved her hands, "Your acid help us to move faster! And also you helped out at critical times!"

Bakugou smirked, "That outta teach them extras! I'm not planning to get anything other than first place!" Yumi sighed, 'He's really aiming for that huh.' Kirishima smiled and gave them a thumbs-up, "Good job guys!"

"These four teams will advance to the finals!" Present-mic announced, "The afternoon events will resume in an hour, after lunch!" He added. Mina approached Yumi, wanna go for lunch with the rest?" She asked.

Yumi nodded with a smile, "Sure!" But Todoroki walked up to her, "Yumi, could I talk to you for a while?" He asked, with sadness eminent in his eyes. Yumi tapped Mina's shoulders, "I'll join you guys in a second." She informed as she left with Todoroki. Little did they know, a curious Bakugou tagged along.

They stopped at a private place that didn't have much people. "Todoroki-kun, did something happen?" Yumi asked, Todoroki shook his head in response. 'That icyhot bastard better not be confessing or something!' Bakugou thought to himself in anger.

"I... I broke my promise to myself..." He said, sadly as he didn't dare to look at her. "I promised myself to not use my left side, the flames. But in the end I used in the calvary battle against Midoriya." He added. Yumi didn't know what to say so she listened attentively.

"As you know... my father is Endeavor, the number two hero. He is extremely ambitious and being number two was not enough for him... and of course that means that All Might is nothing but an eyesore to him." Todoroki explained in which Yumi nodded in understanding.

"He couldn't surpass All Might, so he took a different strategy... and that was quirk marriages. He won over my mother's family and got a hold of her quirk. My father wants to raise me to surpass All Might, in order to satisfy his own selfish desires." Todoroki added.

After hearing this, Yumi was fuming. 'Todoroki-kun isn't a tool for surpassing All Might, how could he treat his child like this?!' Heat was radiating off Yumi as she got angry.

Todoroki's hands touched the burn scar on his face, "In my memory... my mother was always crying... she poured boiling water on my face, saying that my left side is unsightly. That's why, I won't ever use my left side." He finished.

After hearing his story, tears leaked out of Yumi's eyes as she hugged him tightly. "That must've been so hard on you... I can't believe he would put you through that. No child should be going through such trauma." She sobbed as she clinged to him tightly. This took Todoroki by surprise, 'Why would you cry about this, idiot.' He thought to himself as a small smile appeared on his face knowing that Yumi cares about him.

Todoroki pulled away from the hug and wiped Yumi's tears, "Don't cry over this silly, it's almost time, let's go to lunch." He said. Yumi nodded as she wiped her remaining tears. Todoroki put his hands on her eyes to reduce a little of the swelling. "Thanks Todoroki-kun." Yumi thanked.

Bakugou, who watched the whole thing happen was furious, not only did she cry and hug him, he is touching her face. 'Since when was that stupid icyhoy so touchy!' He angrily thinks to himself.

They were eating lunch peacefully, then Mineta and Kaminari came over and approached the girl's table. "I heard that Aizawa-sensei says that you girls need to be in cheerleading outfits after this." Mineta said with a big grin on his face. Yumi got a little suspicious, 'That's really random...' Yumi thought to herself. "It's true, but if you guys don't believe us, you will get scolded by Aizawa-sensei later." Kaminari added, trying to persuade them. Yaoyorozu sighed and quickly made cheerleader outfits for all of them, better to be safe than sorry.

The one hour lunch break has ended and they all returned to the stadium, "What happened class-1A! Fan-service?" Present-mic asked. Yumi sighed, she knew she shouldn't have believed them to begin with, she then requipped back into her gym clothes with some fire-proof clothes underneath.

"Mineta! Kaminari! You tricked us!" Yayorozu shouted accusingly. "Now it's time for fun recreational contest!" Present-mic announced, the crowd cheers happily in response. "16 people from the four teams earlier will compete in a tournament form! One on one battles!" He added.

Midnight held up a box, "You guys would be drawing lots! The 16 finalists can either participate or withdraw! Now we would be drawing lots!" She announced. Oijiro raised up his hand, "Could I withdraw? I have no memory of the whole cavalry battle so I would not like to participate." He asked.

"Ojiro why?!" Midoriya asked, concern for his fellow classmate. "I'll accept it!" Midnight replied, she scanned the crowd, "Now I need one more participant..." She said.

"How about team Tetsutetsu? They fought to keep their place till the last second." One of the students from class 1-B suggested. In the end, Tetsutetsu joined as a finalist.

Then, while the people who did not participate in the tournament have another event, the finalists rests and think of strategies in the meeting room.

'So... I'm against Kaminari huh. Probably a bad match-up for him when I can eat lightning.' Yumi thought to herself.
