Jessica's eyes dripped with tears as the exact memories of what Xin had done replayed in her head. 

The shuddering woman wrapped her arms tight around her pillow, crying into it with her shoulders shaking.

Was she at fault this whole time for falling in love with him? Did she make a grave mistake by welcoming him to her home? By putting so much trust in him? Assuming that was the case, where precisely did she go wrong? 

What would have happened if he didn't snap out of it? He would've done the things she feared the most. She considered how vicious he would've been if he didn't get his way with ease. 

Was that really what he wanted this entire time? Did the liquor really show his true intentions? She pondered profoundly on those questions, but she couldn't provide an accurate answer to any of them. What should she do?
