Part IV

"You're back already?," Hana wasn't expecting him so soon, and she couldn't tell from the look on his face, what must've happened and how he was feeling.

Xin's dull gaze shifted to her, then in a second he looked elsewhere, acting like no one said anything.

"Is it that woman? Who is she to you?"

He didn't answer because he didn't have what to say. And it was none of her business. He put his hands into his pockets and pulled out his cigarette and lighter before he trudged to his room. His heart, his mind, everything about him was slowly falling apart, and it wouldn't take long before his pain would no longer be masked behind the grim look on his face.

His phone rang a couple of times, and Wu's name showed on the screen. He was reluctant to answer; he didn't feel like talking to anyone because of what he was going through. All he wanted to do was focus on the cigarette, and savour how it'd take his mind off things.
