"You're pregnant Miss Qin,"
Sabrina cleared her throat "If you'll excuse me ma'am. I need to be alone with her. Sorry."
"No, that's fine. I'll be back whenever you need me," the doctor said before leaving. Sabrina turned to Lijuan, who sat there with drawn shoulders, her brows furrowed as her mouth turned grim.
"Pregnant… isn't that supposed to make me happy? Why am I so so sad" In her water eyes, her assistant could see the extreme sadness she was dissolving in. There was no doubt the news left Lijuan in a state of feeling emotionally wrecked.
She placed a hand on her stomach and her gaze flickered to her belly "Why? Why?" A lone tear traced down my cheek, and just like that, the floodgates opened. So many tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down her face. Her chin trembled as if she was a small child and she continued to ask herself, "why? Just why?"
