Putting Down a Raging Ape

The luminous full moon hung in the night sky as the evening settled in. While the moon lit evening may at first feel present it was far from what Thousand Flames upper realm was feeling. Beneath the peaceful light the land immediately south of the royal capital was originally forest and grassland with few mountains. Now it was a wasteland of craters and rubble.

Qiang Mei Hua led a group of experts totalling 37 peak Martial Saints and several Human Immortals to fly across this wasteland. She had previously felt ungodly tremors and her husband's distinguishable Qi before coming to the realisation that something had happened. Luckily many of the Human Immortals had the same though too and rushed back to the stadium.

There Qiang Mei Hua, Qiang Wang, Long Chi Bai and several others met up with taoist Infinity Heaven and was brought up to speed. This was 4 minutes ago and now they were following the emperor's Qi signature. As the strongest expert among them the emperor's Qi was like a beacon when activated. Even to Human Immortals it was something to marvel at.

Ever since the titanic struggle 200 years ago the emperor had rarely partaken in many fights yet his strength that day was engraved in the hearts of every expert present. You must understand that 200 years was a very short time to them, Martial Saints can live up to 3600 years while Human Immortals can go up to 10,000.

Aside from the Human Immortals several Demon Ascendents and Nirvana Rebirth experts followed after. The wild ape Ascendent, blaze lion Ascendent, and humming rabbit Ascendent followed Long Chi Bai's lead while the Nirvana Rebirth monks followed Lao Fu. The Acala Buddha temple owed a lot to Hu Wenxi so they will naturally show up to help.

Qiang Mei Hua of all Human Immortals present was the youngest and least experienced. She had trust in her husband's abilities and yet she could not help but slightly worry. Sam's unexpected confrontation with taoist Infinity Heaven had spiralled out of control. Hu Wang Tian's attempt to get a strong ally had unexpectedly turned into a monstrous threat they had to eliminate.

Hu Wang Tian was one of the Saints accompanying the group and the one who looked most ashamed. In retrospect he could have done a lot more research on Sam but he trusted his son a little too much on this subject. He had hardly any interaction with Sam himself and it was Hu Diyi who hosted Sam's stay at the palace.

That's right Sam actually stayed at the palace for the week under Hu Diyi's care. Whatever those two did Hu Wang Tian did not know, perhaps it was time he put more restraints on his son. Unlike Hu Wang Tian, Qian Mei Hua was more interested in Sam's unique abilities, this was further exasperated by Hu Wenxi's explanation. This was why Qiang Mei Hua allowed the boy to stay in the palace.

During this time the Blades under protection from the emperor observed and investigated on Sam. However the boy was so confident in his powers that he never noticed them. Funnily enough if he had used the sharingan perhaps he may have noticed them. The Blades were orphans trained specifically for stealth and intel gathering, even assassination was secondary. As such even the 12 meridian Blade one would likely lose in a 1v1 fight to 10 meridian experts.

To be honest Hu Wenxi had discussed with Qiang Mei Hua about assassinating Sam from the beginning. However the temptation to learn of the origin of his powers were too good to pass up. With Sam's return to the stage earlier he couldn't make a public move. The second round had lasted for several days after all even if it felt like a flash.

Qiang Mei Hua already had quite a deep understanding of Sam so she was expecting a similar event of sorts, she just didn't expect it this soon. Deep down she curse Infinity Heaven.

Currently the group had traveled for 5 minutes and crossed 39,000 kilometres into the Tun Shan mountain ranges or at least what's left of them. Several peaks had already collapsed but they could still feel the strong tremors of battle not too far from them. Qiang Mei Hua could grasp the situation, Tun Shan mountain range was a long exhausted ore mine and had no true value. It wasn't good farmland nor was it particularly comfortable to live in. The region was secluded perfect for battles.

The isolation was so good that Hu Jin Shen had came here to train quite often and even had a minor residence here. Wait no she could see the rubble of the mansion and something else, 'Is that my old cabin?'

"I can see them" shouted a minor Human Immortal. The direction he was looking at was due south west of their position and already one could see myriad of mysteries appearing in the black storm clouds above and hear thunderous roaring below.

The sight before them was something else, a GIANT golden ape was struggling against a skinny monkey, a crowned rooster, and a giant wolf. The ape stood over 400 kilometres tall and only had its left arm, its right arm was a shrivelled rotted mess. The three animals it was fighting did not lose out in size towering over 300 kilometres tall each with the wolf being easily 420 kilometre long.

The GIANT ape kept roaring and thrashing about with its left arm and tail. It slammed the ground wildly swinging at the wolf and monkey while the rooster leapt into the sky. The rooster opened its mouth and screeched "COCK-COCK-KOOOOOOOO". The noise was so intense that it staggered the ape and even the Human Immortals held their heads in pain. Several saints Hu Wang Tian included started bleeding from their ears.

Suddenly a sandy light developed them. Qiang Mei Hua looked up and saw her husband in full royal regalia and crown standing atop a yellow dragon construct. The dragon was a majestic sight indeed with its long body swishing in the air along with catfish whiskers. Its scales gleamed with faint dandy light. The emperor was protecting them as well as fighting the ape.

"AWOOO" the wolf leapt onto the golden ape and bit down on its left arm using its body to hold it in place. The rooster jumped and clawed the ape's head who tried to bite in response. The rooster however jumped over and began attacking its back drawing blood with its sharp claws.

"RAH" the skinny monkey punched the ape the face with surprising strength knocking a teeth out. It kept beating into the ape while the rooster did more damage at its back and legs.

"RAOR" the ape however began shooting lasers from its mouth forcing the monkey to jump back. It fired at the wolf who also jumped back to avoid the hit. With both beasts gone it turned and grabbed the rooster before it too got a way. It used its mouth bite into the rooster's left wing and grabbed its right wing.

Instead of crying in pain the rooster's beak transformed into a sharp nail which it used to drive deep into the ape's neck. However the ape ripped the rooster in two ad forcefully pulled out the beak. To the ape's shock the rooster exploded into a sand cloud which knocked the ape onto its back. The sand cloud moved into the sky and transformed into a hundreds of thousand's of sand stone spears all of whom rained down.

In defence the ape fired its lasers once more and began to get back up. It's blast vaporised many of the blades before the wolf jumped in again and bit into its neck. Despite its attempt to push it down the ape held firm and grappled the wolf with its one arm. However it did not account for the monkey smashing him with a mountain.

While that did not do much damage it did stagger the ape. The rooster reformed from the sand cloud unleashed a tornado from its mouth pushing the golden ape back. The wolf's whole body melted into sand and transformed into a massive boar complete with tusk which lit in flame. The boar charged at the ape by coating its entire body in flames.

BOOM!

The ape was blown back by the explosion. Then the monkey jumped in and began beating the ape while it was down. To counter act this the ape once again fired its laser directly at the monkey's face destroying it causing the body to melt into a sand cloud. When the rooster came for a clawing attack the ape blasted it too causing it to become sand once more.

The boar was unbothered by the death of its comrades and breathed an vast inferno burning the golden ape. Rather then take the damage the ape leaped high into the air and used the force as well as its herculean strength to smash the boar's head to bits. The ape took a large breath feeling the exhaustion.

"Amazing, this beast. It reminds me of that True Immortal of 200 years ago" Lao Fu exclaimed in wonder. Around him the saints and Human Immortals looked around in terror. They could not possibly fight a True Immortal. Qiang Wang looked at Hu Wenxi who was still standing atop his dragon, he did not seem undeterred.

Down below all three clouds of sand reformed together into a titanic robust bull 900 kilometres in height easily dwarfing the ape. The ape saw the beast and fired a massive blast at it. However the bull took one breath and blew the entire blast away. It raised its front body and smashed down causing the already malformed earth to rise in a pillar below the ape's legs.

This pillar slammed into the ape's nuts causing it inhuman pain. "ROAR" the ape was sent flying into the air, the bull took this opportunity to sprint into a full charge. With its absurd might its stabbed one horn into the ape's left shoulder blade catching the ape in it's head.

What happened next was an unpleasant joy ride for the ape as the bull slammed it into mountain after mountain. As it left the vicinity the dragon followed after it. Hu Wenxi brought the others with him.

BOOM!

The bull slammed the ape into a particularly large mountain. The ape struggled in its place but was losing energy fast. It flared around dangling in the air helplessly. The dragon arrived in the distance, its body fluttering about Hu Wenxi atop it.

"In the end, you're just a mindless monster, no different from those you read about" this statement seemed to resonate inside the apes mind. "ROAR" it roared in rage once more, its eyes focused on Hu Wenxi. It opened its mouth and fired the largest blast yet directly at the emperor.

"Hmph" Hu Wenxi snorted, the dragon beneath him flared its body and swiped its tail at the oncoming beam. Tail swipe crashed into the beam and destroyed it. Hu Wenxi looked at Sam turned ape, he had long since lost his mind.

Hu Wenxi raised his hand and are gear like sandy images appeared before and behind him. The dragon below him opened its mouth and prepared to fire its own blast.

"ROAR" the dragon's blast came to life going through gears before it while the gears behind it lent energy. Each time the blast got bigger and bigger until it engulfed both the ape and the bull which held them in place vaporising them both.

Watching this all the Human Immortals remembered one crucial detail. From start to finish that ape defiantly had power comparable to the True Immortal from 200 years ago. Yet from start to finish the emperor hadn't once drawn his sword nor used any weapons. From start to finish this was pure spell work. There wasn't even a speck of dust on the emperor.
