Turning The Tables

The golden streak blitz across the sky in accelerated speed. She reached the outskirts of the star city in no time at all. Hu Wenxi recognised her when she neared and so did the Celestial Star king. Seeing it as an opportunity the Star king struck out with a mighty cleave of his axe.

Acting quickly Hu Wenxi raised his palm. Mighty winds howled in the air as vast immortal power conglomerated creating a sandy fist. The head of a ferocious tiger manifested on the fist. It rushed towards the king who was unprepared for the strike.

The aim would've been to distract Hu Wenxi then attack. However Hu Wenxi chose to attack instead of defending Qiang Mei Hua. The sandy tiger bit into the starry body of the Celestial Star king's battle formation. Its razor teeth mawed at the layers of dense Qi. The thick layers of Qi were like armour protecting those within.

The six custodians inside sweated profusely. They were reaching their limit of power. Only the Celestial Star king held on to the formation, he knew that the moment it broke it will be over. He wanted to kill Hu Wenxi desperately.

"Brothers, I will use the ancestor's axe. Please hold on" the six custodians nodded their heads. The Celestial Star king commanded the massive avatar to halt attacking. Hu Wenxi looked on in surprise as the massive chariot dived into the city.

The horse chariot swerved sideways allowing the avatar to reach down into the royal treasury. Its massive frame broke the roof. The giant reached down grabbing its desired treasure.

Hu Wenxi noticed this and said, "Destroying your own ancestral house? What would your ancestors think". Celestial Star king ripped the axe from its placement. Vast untimed immortal power flowed into him nearly crushing him. "Enough Hu Wenxi, now you can finally die".

Hu Wenxi shook his head, "Xin Da Kong, that treasure was not mean for you. If you use that then I wouldn't even need to kill you". The Celestial Star king did not listen. He did not hesitate to bring the legendary axe down.

The axe was a beautiful thing, double sided with engravings of six points resembling a hoe on its sharp metal blade. It expanded in size to meet the giant avatar's requirement. The chariot under the avatar shook and distorted. The arm holding the axe vibrated and occasionally thick layers Qi leaked out.

The Celestial Star king gritted his teeth, 'The ancestor's Great Star Splitting war axe is tough to handle'. The king had already pushed his boundaries. He was a Human Immortal who artificially made himself an Immortal with a unique formation that required thousands of years of planning, recourse gathering, and deception. However the axe was a treasure too strong for even that.

Hu Wenxi never annexed his subordinate's ancestral treasure as a sign of respect. But also he knew that these treasures were not something he could handle at the time. Hu Wenxi's cultivation at the time of conquest definitely could not control those treasures, but this was even more so for the Celestial Star king.

"Then you have sealed your fate" Hu Wenxi said as a matter of fact. He raised his armed calling his own Immortal treasure. "RAH" the giant avatar pulled his chariot towards Hu Wenxi. He attacked with slashes which Hu Wenxi raised sand arms to slap away those swings. However each sand arm was pulverised and Hu Wenxi had to retreat back to avoid getting hit.

'Its already falling apart' thought Hu Wenxi as the giant's left palm collapsed before it reformed again in an unstable fashion. Qi was leaving all around the formation spiralling before dissipating.

The giant avatar got up and raised the axe once more to attack. Boundless space ripped open when it descended. Hu Wenxi raised his arms as if he was lifting the sky. A massive sandy dragon appeared around him. The massive dragon expanded like a shield wrapping around the emperor.

The axe split space, reality itself. It cleaved at the dragon's scales. The sound of glass shattering was heard. Reality made way as two sections of space was forcefully separated. The dragon was ripped in two. Hu Wenx's defence was breached, along his silk robes was a clean cut across his chest to his wist.

Illustrious golden liquid immortal Qi bled out like particles in the air. Hu Wenxi held his wound, "It truely does live up to its name" he said uneasily. The giant avatar pulled the reins of its horse. The horses rose up and began pulling the giant forth for another charge, "KILL".

Suddenly something large barrelled into the giant's head. "GAH" the Celestial Star king was dazed with his head spinning. The massive object that just shot through the giant hitting him was a massive throne. It had nearly pushed him out of the formation.

The throne had flew at such speed that it barrelled through the formation before he could defend. "Your immortal senses are really lacking" commented Hu Wenxi who lifted up the throne by its armrest. The king's face was flush red in embarrassment. He swiped diagonally with his axe.

"An Immortal is nothing special without his treasure, let me show you how to use one" said Hu Wenxi. The throne emanated sandy light along with Hu Wenxi. A giant dodecagonal disk appeared. It spun quickly generating a hurricane that spiralled out rays of sand blades that met together forming a massive spiralling shield.

The axe cut into the side of the shield which spun forcing the giant to turn with it. The Celestial Star king quickly pulled the axe out. Then the shield split into many whip like blades that lashed at him from all directions. The king raised his axe to block this strikes.

He swung left and right deflecting the slashes. However the starry horses were also hit. One swipe of the sand blade and a horse was decapitated. Hu Wenxi raised a fist and many sand tendrils rose together. They spun interweaving together as they dove down in a spiral. The many sand tendrils formed into a spinning drill that struck from under the giant.

It easily pierced the chariot. "Retreat" cried the Celestial Star king. The 7 of them controlled the giant and leapt off the chariot. Instantly the giant's power dropped by a quarter. Looking unwilling, the Celestial Star king's avatar giant jumped and cleaved directly at Hu Wenxi.

The emperor let go of the armrest of his throne letting it drop before holding its backrest securely by the edge. He lifted his arm in an arc before bringing the throne down like a bat. The axe and throne clashed against each other. Massive vortexes of immortal Qi funnelled out as a byproduct of the clash.

'Wha…what happened' a shark groggily woke up from its laid position. He was turned upside down lying atop several collapsed buildings. Taoist shark could remember being slapped away by a newly constructed formation before everything going black.

The titanic shark shrunk down into human size transforming into a young tanned man with a shark fin on his back. "What hit me" he grabbed his head in pain. He sniffed the air a little and his senses were immediately bombarded by vast quantities of Qi, very pure immortal Qi at that.

Taoist shark immediately got to his feat. Looking around he saw Hu Wenxi's battle against the Grand Chariot North Star Supreme formation taking place. He focused his senses and scanned the surroundings a few more. He was very aware of his power and did not want anything to do with that fight.

He could detect Long Chi Bai's presence. The old dragon was already very old and frail. Qiang Wang's severely injured self was lying down somewhere recovering. However taoist shark also detected another battle going on. "Is that general Yi?" Taoist shark suddenly got a voice transmission.

"Go help them" it said. It was the voice of Hu Wenxi who sent a direct transmission to the shark demon's mind. The shark looked uneasy at that prospect. He weighted his pros and cons for a moment. Hu Wenxi was someone who had done the impossible in the past. The emperor had also been good to demon kind especially those who helped him in that past.

Taoist shark decided its best to obey the emperor, Celestial Star King's coup was unlikely to succeed. The demon flew into the air towards Hu Jin Shen.

The pale skinned man detected the shark. He turned to the old woman, "Take care of the fish". The woman nodded and flew into the sky to intercept the shark.

Taoist shark sneered, he charged in air like a torpedo going straight at the old woman. The woman took out prayer beads and began chanting, thick dark light gathered in the form of an evil looking buddha with 18 arms holding various bladed weapons. "Attack" the buddha slammed six swords down in consecutive strikes.

Taoist shark opened his mouth and spewed numerous water shark constructs and exploded in torrents in contact with the blades. Taoist shark continued and barrelled into the buddha. The two were locked in a struggle. The old woman's evil buddha was holding strong.

The pale skinned man drew his khopesh. However he did not aim at Hu Jin Shen. He sensed the indistinguishable aura of a Human Immortal barreling towards him. He gripped his khopesh hard seeing the approaching golden light.

"YAH" he slashed at the golden light who met the khopesh with a rapier. Hu Jin Shen recognised the woman who materialised out of the light. Qiang Mei Hua retreated back and stabbed again and again. The pale skinned man swung and blocked the initial stabs but a later one stabbed into his chest drawing blood.

The pale skinned man drew a talisman and chanted a spell. A black wave spread forth. Qiang Mei Hua retracted her rapier and formed a golden doll before her to block. However the black wave corroded her Qi construct away.

The empress immediately leapt back. The pale skinned man smiled, "It is an honour to finally meet you your majesty". Qian Mei Hua held her rapier up ready to attack. The pale skinned man pointed at himself, "My name is Aadar".

"So you are the invaders" Qian Mei Hua confirmed to which Aadar nodded. Not needing another thought the empress jumped into attack. Aadar also went in for his own offensive. Qian Mei Hua stabbed and slashed but Aadar voiced those hits and attacked with his khopesh at the empress' openings.

Qiang Mei Hua was very aggressive but Aadar could fight evenly with her. Aadar was beginning to push her back.

"Mother" Hu Jin Shen cried out in worry as Aadar's khopesh lit in pale grey flames. He slipped horizontally forcing the empress to block with her rapier. However the flames ate away at her magical powers and forced her back. Aadar raised his hand and shot a power beam of energy at Hu Jin Shen.

The empress immediately jumped in front to protect him. "GAH" she was struck and fell onto he hands. Aadar stood confidently and approached. From the shadows Blade 1 appeared behind the man with a dagger. The assassin silently struck at Aadar.

However Aadar's followers saw him. One of them kicked the assassin aside in one blow, "A mere Crossing Tribulation small fry wants to intervene? Pathetic". Aadar chuckled amusedly, "This is going better then I thought".

"Yes perhaps too well" Aadar was brought out of his victorious thoughts. "Who's there" Aadar cried out. "Me" a man looking identical to Hu Wenxi walked around to corner of debris buildings. "Sorry for being late wife, I've confirmed that they don't know where the Mandela Amulet is".

Aadar's attention was roused. He leaped forward to capture the Hu Wenxi look alike. He raised his khopesh to attack but a dragon headed ruler blocked him. Hu Wenxi's lookalike held the ruler and threw Aadar crashing into a building, "Very well, let us begin" he said.
