Qiang Mei Hua slowly got up with the support of her son Hu Jin Shen. The empress took out a pill from her void ring and consumed it. Her complexion instantly got better as her vitality is restored. She observed the situation around her.
Hu Wenxi's other self was something she had known but seldom interacted with. She knew they were the same person with the same soul but she had hardly ever seen it. Something like this was known as an avatar. It was different from incarnations as an avatar possessed its own self autonomy and cultivation.
Generally speaking avatars follow the will of their creator. Hu Wenxi's avatar was created from a piece of himself, it possessed all the qualities that Hu Wenxi himself possessed. It definitely wasn't simple, even though the Hu Wenxi in battle armour did not give out any passive aura there was a profound pressure that could be felt on everyone's shoulders.
Aadar could feel the pressure emanating from Hu Wenxi's avatar. The dragon headed staff in one hand and a steel rule in the other. Aadar brushed the rubble off of him and gulped. He could not detect immortal power from this man but he was indeed powerful with a familiar type of aura.
From Qiang Mei Hua's reactions this man was indeed the emperor. Aadar gripped his khopesh hard. Faint dark immortal light lit from the edge of the blade. Some Sanskrit symbols also began manifesting along the sword.
Hu Wenxi observed this curiously. The armoured emperor scratched his chin in thought, "Your weapon design and spells are reminiscent of the Khemet empire of old, however you clearly posses dharma power more similar to pantheon of great devas". The emperor concluded, "Are you perhaps a successor of one of those great gods of old?".
"Who knows" Aadar sent a signal. The other experts with him leapt into action. They drew various weapons from void space ranging from maces, guandaos, xiphos, sickle and chain etc. It was a wide assortment of weapons all brimming with exotic power.
Hu Wenxi could see traces of many different types of magical powers emanating from them. These experts all reveal their Human Immortal cultivation bases thundering the land around them. The Star busting formation was inactive and the Grand Chariot North Star supreme formation had long since left to focus on battle against Hu Wenxi. As such when these experts unleashed their power, their combined might distorted reality and began rearranging the entire landscape.
Thick amounts of immortal power emanated with the force to move mountains and fill seas. These experts were clearly battle hardened individuals waiting to unleash their power. As such Hu Jin Shen and Hu Tong Shan shuddered at the bloodlust they unleashed. If Hu Lan Yue was still awake she would've fainted again.
'There are so many powers' thought Qiang Mei Hua. She watched those experts unleash their weapons. She could tell they were all of high grade at the very least high grade sacred artefacts. She could also tell a diverse range of skillsets some of which she had only seen in vague historical records as a little girl. It was only the impressive memory of a Human Immortal that she recalled them now.
In fact Hu Wenxi was also astounded by the variety in front of him. Traditionally cultivated immortals are taoists however this wasn't strictly the case for everyone. The primary taoist lineages which form the core cultivation principle all stem from the three pure ones and their respective schools of Chan, Jie, and Ren. However in the time since many divine powers had influenced certain immortal school.
These schools eventually adapted certain divine heritages into their cultivation creating more unique lineages outside of orthodox taoism. Hu Wenxi himself could be considered a descendent of taoism as his principle of the 12 zodiac beast contained mysteries derived from records of it. However the people before had a vast mix of methods.
Aadar himself used magical powers belonging to two distinct lineages one from an ancient mighty pantheon who was one of the most powerful faction in times immemorial. In fact the great devas of the heavenly realm were still around today albeit not as active. Aadar also show signs of being descent from an equally ancient Khemet empire's legendary gods.
In Hu Wenxi's old world, he recalled those two as being eerily similar to gods of India and Egypt. When he discovered archeological texts detailing the era succeeding the three factions, he had discovered that in that era of chaos many powerful factions of gods arose to challenge the demonic courts. However the demonic court proved unstoppable under the leadership of emperor Jun and many gods decided it was simpler to keep to themselves.
One has to know that gods were mighty beings born connate lifeforms from heaven and earth. Many older gods were from the chaos sea its such as the three pure ones and the Trimurti. Demons on the other hand were spawned connate lifeforms from the land after Pangu's splitting of the heaven from the earth and the establishment of the world.
In that era many gods felt angered that these new lifeforms who were only deserving to be mounts became powerful enough to rule all creation. Many hotheaded individuals went to war and were systematically destroyed. It should also be noted that many of the more powerful ancient gods hardly cared about matters of politics at the time. For example the three pure ones were content to silently cultivate on Mt Kunlun but were each easily more then powerful enough to fight off the dragon clan.
The Human Immortals who were fighting Hu Wenxi all belonged to the path of cultivation created by the three pure ones. That of the heavens, to be an immortal a Xian. However their powers were reminiscent of those ancient powers suggesting relation of some kind.
"KILL" these men in uniform unleashed mighty attacks that threatened to flatten the surrounding area. In fact they did not care about collateral damage at all. There powers were unleashed to the maximum as they hoped to kill Hu Wenxi for good. Aadar knew Hu Wenxi was a true immortal and while that's not necessarily true for his avatar it won't do to be too careless.
As such he ordered they eliminate this avatar with all their might. These experts did just that as guandao, sickle, hammers, swords, xiphos, and even khopeshes barrelled at the armoured Hu Wenxi.
Hu Wenxi looked at them with interest, "We always did lack treasures". The emperor stabbed his ruler into the ground before their attacks hit. A mysterious transparent rainbow ocean wave flooded the area. It wasn't water but pure energy. This wave actually stabilised spacetime and held the entire area together forbidding it to suffer any damage. At the same time those individuals charging him froze mid air.
Taoist shark as froze though this was willingly as he noticed Hu Wenxi's power. The old lady he was facing also stood frozen in place, he evil 18 armed buddha construct shattered and disappeared. Taoist shark faced Hu Wenxi's avatar's location and cupped his hand bowing in respect.
On the other side of town a heavily injured Qiang Wang felt vast healing power close his wounds. He widened his eyes as was not familiar with this power but a quick voice transmission from a familiar son-in-law calmed him down. He also noticed the humanoid figure of Long Chi Bai slowly getting up from a colossal dragon shaped crater.
The old man had lost a lot of vitality due to Sam and now suffered a mighty blow by the Celestial Star king. 'He is definitely not becoming a sage' thought Qiang Wang. Due to Long Chi Bai's advanced age and current state Qiang Wang deduced that he would likely die before surviving the heavenly tribulation.
Long Chi Bai's tired wrinkly face sighed in relief as the rainbow energy healed him. The power while not wholly compatible with him did mend his more grievous wounds. He also felt deeply embarrassed from todays events.
Hu Wenxi observed the weapons around him. They were all of sufficiently high quality to be worth millions of immortal jade. Immortal jade was the currency used by cultivators. Although they were named jade they were in fact circular coins created from Qi rich jade to signify a higher quality compared to regular gold silver and bronze coins.
The emperor was very happy with the haul. The empire had been suffering from the damages from Sam and the inevitable fallout from this rebellion. There were enough treasures here for him to sell off half and retain the other and come out with more gains then losses. He completely ignored the frozen Human Immortals around him.
Hu Wenxi said, "Since you dared invade my home, I will have to collect compensation". He clicked his fingers.
BOOOM!
SPLATTER!
The men around him exploded in a shower of blood. Non of it hit Hu Wenxi nor his family. The blood fell onto the floor and on Aadar. For Aadar he realised that he could not hope to defeat Hu Wenxi. Only one thought permitted Aadar's mind, 'Divine power' he thought.
Even Hu Wenxi and the Crimson Star princess looked in horror. Deep inside her heart the princess felt rage. Anger that Hu Wenxi would continue to climb in power so much so that she cannot reach to take her revenge. She hoped Yun Xiao Che will catch up soon.
Yun Xiao Che on the other hand felt fear for his beloved master. He knew that Hu Wenxi can easily kill both him and Jasmine like ants. He desperately thought of methods to save both himself and the princess.
Aadar finally spoke tremblingly, "Your a god". Hu Wenxi nodded. Yun Xiao Che and the princess were both shocked, they both knew what Hu Wenxi used was not immortal power. They could feel familiarity but could not identify it. Now it was all clear, what Hu Wenxi was a far more purified form of what Yun Xiao Che secretly cultivated, divine power the symbol of true divinity. This Hu Wenxi had stepped into the realm of True god.
…
Yinying Yan was on guard the moment the rainbow sea washed over him. He quickly gathered vast shadow around him to protect himself. He could see the two ants below him receive energy. 'No' he thought the gaunt immortal flew at them in top speed.
The rainbow energy worked to restrict him but his boundless immortal power countered it allowing Yinying Yan to use his signature smoke cloud escape to quickly reach Yi Guang and Nan Fan. These two Human Immortals had received many benefits from Hu Wenxi's sandy light and could somewhat fight him. They had become an annoyance.
Yinying Yan sought to kill them before they could heal. "Shadow smoke strike" a smoky blade appeared out of Yinying Yan's fingertips. The dark blade cleaved with high power through the rainbow aura. In reality the blade was severely weakened as it too resisted the rainbow aura. Yinying Yan was also weary to not accidentally cut apart the planet.
The blade struck at the two. Yi Guang held his spear up in defence. Nan Fan did not posses any means of self protection from this, he also lacked the ability to run away as Yinying Yan had injured one of his legs. "Brother Yi, you are more valuable to his majesty. I'll propel you out" said the old doctor.
"No doctor, if I let this man out of my sights he will target his highness" Yi Guang brought his spear up and cleaved. Supported by the rainbow energy Yi Guang unleashed a might slash. However Yinying Yan was something else entirely, he slashed with so much reckless abandon that he cut apart Yi Guang's spear and was about to penetrate flesh.
"Please stop" a dignified voice sounded out. Yi Guang and Nan Fan turned around and instantly knelt, "We beg his majesty, forgive us for our uselessness". Hu Wenxi shook his head, "Stand you are not at fault".
Yinying Yan looked in hatred, "After so many years Hu Wenxi, remember me". Yinying Yan unleashed his immortal power breaking the rainbow energy wav around him. He conglomerated his shadow and smoke into a thick layer of armour. Looking more demon then man Yinying Yan sipped at Hu Wenxi with his claws.
Hu Wenxi brought hi ruler up and slapped the claws. The slap pulverised the claw into smoke. Said smoke transmuted into a sickle that cleaved at the exposed emperor. "Humph" Hu Wenxi use another hand and punched. The instant image of a rampaging tiger was seen on the fist that repelled the sickle.
"DIE" cried Yinying Yan as a massive smoky cat head bit down swallowing Hu Wenxi and the others. "I'll consume you" cried Yinying Yan as coursing smoke flooded the area. "Be careful your majesty" cried Nan Fan. Hu Wenxi nodded he slipped his ruler creating a torrent of pure water that washed away much of the smoke. The water barrelled through the inside of the head blasting a whole.
Hu Wenxi brought Yi Guang and Nan Fan out. Looking down they saw a massive monster cat head with a whole on the back of its body it turned to look at them. "A true immortal is terrifying indeed" sighed Yi Guang.
"Kekeke, against you Hu Wenxi, I cal go all out all I want" said Yinying Yan, "I will pay you back for 200 years ago". The cat head laughed into the sky at Hu Wenxi. The emperor however sighed disappointedly, "That year I had countless help, however I never expected you to be so useless as to run away".
Hu Wenxi brought up his other hand with the dragon staff, "Now that we meet again you're still so weak. Are you sure you're a genuine Immortal?". He brought the staff down dragon gear first into the cat.
