Chapter 3

I'm looking around the forest trying to figure out where I am and why I'm here. I walk around realizing there is no sound coming from my steps. No leaves crunching under my feet. Just sweet silence except for the sound of wildlife and the wind blowing through the trees. I can't even feel the wind blowing on my face. This makes me panic. I know I'm here walking around. So how am I not making a sound or feeling a thing. I see a pile of branches lying ahead. So, I run to it and jump. But what happens next shocks the living daylight out of me. My feet goes right through the pile. It doesn't even move an inch.

Then I see it. Freshly dug soil just under it. I feel something off. Something that draws me to that soil. Something calling me to dig it up and see what is under. I mean this is the middle of the forest. Nobody should be here digging up ground and piling it with sticks. I tried digging but my hands go right through. So I thought I might as well try and push my face down underground to see what's down there. I push my face downwards slowly and then pull back at lightening speed. My whole face tingled from the funny sensation. The next thing I know I'm down there again. And what i see is unexplainable. I see myself. White as a sheet with berry blue lips, mouth agape and eyes open with the look of shock in them. Dead. That's what I see. I'm dead. But how am I here looking at myself?

I think I might be dead!

I'm a ghost!
