Ashley and I sit there in the smoke of debris and the rubble from the crash as my father looks at me. He had the devil reflecting in his eyes coated with anger. Its like Satan himself was looking down on me from my fathers eyes. Is this what people view me as? The trouble maker that makes Satan come out of hiding just to shame me for my mistakes? I wonder if this is all I'm good for.
"CRYSTAL!!"
"Were dead aren't we?"
"Yep! We are so dead."
As a crowd of soldiers from a completely other part of the castle, I feel a shock of pain as I am slapped in the face by my angered jackass father, who was apparently in the middle of a very important meeting. I withstand the pain. Compared to the horde of monsters that I fought earlier and what happened to me as a child, this was nothing.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!! FIRST YOU DISOBEY MY DIRECT ORDERS AS YOUR KING, AND NOW THERE IS A GOD DAMN HOLE IN OUR CASTLE!!" Damn! He is pissed. But for the record, that was wingy's fault for being a smart ass pterodactyl.
"AND ON TOP OF THAT, ASHLEY WAS CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS!! YOUNG LADY WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO REALIZE THAT YOUR ACTION HAVE DIRE CONCEQUENCES!!"
"For the record! That hole was the pterodactyl's fault. Not mine. And not Ashley's." He rubs the sides of his nose with two fingers with frustration.
"I HAD A VERY IMPORTANT MEETING WITH THE KING OF GOLDLESS AFTER YOU SO RUDELY REFUSED TO OBEY ME! NOW LOOK WHAT HAS HAPPENED!! WE MIGHT EVEN HAVE TO GO TO WAR WITH THEM BECAUSE OF YOU!!"
"So what....This is all my fault again. Like it always is." I said as he looks at me with more fiery in his eyes. I felt as if he was about to pop a blood vessel from all of his anger and yelling. Why am I like this again? Oh right! When my jackass father thinks your a nuisance and has almost never shown any love to you throughout your whole life.
"ITS YOUR FAULT CAUSE YOU BROUGHT THIS THING TO THE CASTLE DURING A VERY IMPORTANT MEETING!!"
"YOU NEVER SAID YOU EVEN HAD ONE TO BEGIN WITH!! HOW THE HELL AM I SUPOSED TO KNOW YOU HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT GOING ON WHEN YOU NEVER EVEN THINK TO COMUNICATE WITH ME ABOUT IT!!" I yelled as he is taken back by this. the castle in the back was most likely the quietest place right at this moment beside for the royal guards attempting to fix the hole while the building and construction team were on the way over. I was covered in dust and debris from the rubble and on top of that I'm being yelled at. Sure I wanted to ride the pterodactyl, but I never thought it would result in crashing into the castle. I stared at my angry pissed off father in the eyes as I told him what I thought.
"THATS IT!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS DISREPECT!!" Go ahead and say it old man. I dare you. I've escaped from that horror show over a thousand if not, a million times over. I can get out no problem.
"I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SEND YOU T-AGH!!" I was in total shock. My mom grabbed my father by the ear as she begins to drag him off.
"Crystal."
"Yes ma'am?"
"Tell me your side of the story." She was serious. She was once again trying to get me out of trouble yet again.
"Ashley and I were hanging out and having fun, then I saw the cave with the pterodactyls in it so I wanted to ride one. I honestly had no idea that it was headed for the palace. I didn't think about it until it was too late. I'm sorry." She smiled a sweet loving smile as she said to me,
"Make sure you watch were those things head before you decide to go and ride them."
"Yes ma'am."
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to have a conversation with your father." She dragged him off, leaving me there to stand and watch as they argued with each other. My fathers angry voice echo's throughout the wide open land not far from the palace at all. I looked over to a man in a royal looking attire with a long cape with fuzz at the very top of the cape. He looked as if he was also prepared for war as well. He was about to get into a carriage that I assumed would take him back to his palace. I ran over to him before he was about to leave. I tugged on his cape a little bit. He turned to face me with a confused look.
"Who are you?"
"Hello sir. My name is Crystal Dragonheart. Daughter of Aaron and Annabeth Dragonheart." His eyes widened a little bit before he spoke once again.
"Well what a surprise you are. Aaron never mentioned he had a daughter." Of course he didn't. Why would he. I'm nothing but a nuisance to him.
"Was there something the king needed to do in order to prevent us from going to war?"
"Cutting right to the chase are we?" He pauses. His once kinda joking like look turns into something I found concerning. He looks at me closely as if he was inspecting me from head to toe.
"You.....have a very unusual eye color..." I was confused by his words. What did he mean by that??
"Nevermind. Here." He said as he hands me a paper with neat cursive handwriting. I look down at the bottom of the page where there was a line standing out from the rest of the paper.
"All I need is a signature from someone of royal blood from this part of Isla. Since you are king Aaron's daughter, if you sign this, then this will ensure that your country will not be harmed in any way. We will be considered as allies."
"So this is a peace treaty?" He nodded as he hands me a brush with some ink stored within it. I take the paper to a nearby stump as I begin to write my name on the empty space where the signature should be placed. Once that was out of the way, I handed back the now signed peace treaty to the king of Godless. He smiles at me with delight as he says to me before stepping into the carriage,
"Thank you for your cooperation Miss Dragonheart. I look forward to working with you. Next time, try not to run a pterodactyl through the wall." he smiles at me before the carriage door closes and takes off. How did he know that was-Oh. Right....He saw the whole thing. Glad that mess was cleaned up. Now for a second round of yelling from my father. Yay....I begin to walk over to where I was standing until Ashley stops me.
"Hey....Um so are you in trouble again?"
"I don't know quite yet Ash. My parents are arguing right now." Ashley looks away from me as my father and mother walk back over to me. Preparing to be scolded once again.
"My apologies for yelling at you. That was very childish of me to do to you. I should.....be treating you with more respect."
"What?" I say dumbfounded by what was happening. Ashley was also just as confused as I was as He continues to apologize to me out of the blue.
"I'm not going to send you to that place again. Your mother and I made an agreement." He sighs as he rubs his nose with frustration again.
"I guess I'll have to find some way to apologize to the king of Goldless before his armies show up."
"There's no need to father." Ashley, my father and mother look at me with a confused and dumbfounded look on their faces.
"I already spoke with the king of Goldless. All he needed was for someone of royal blood to sign a peace treaty. So I signed it. After all, I made this mess. I needed to clean it up." Ashely was struck dumb by my words. My mother smiles with delight as I smile back a weak smile in her direction.
"Oh! Well. I guess I was too hard on you Crystal. Well done." I smiled at him. For once. He was kind to me.
"So what was this 'agreement' you and mom had in mind?" I asked breaking a once silent but wonderful moment.
"Oh yes. Your mother and I decided that instead of sending you to the 'bad' place, you and Ashley will be sent to another universe."
"Why?"
"Because something bad has been happening in Isla and I can't afford to have my rebel of a daughter cause mischief in a place that could potentially get her killed or worse." Ashley and I looked at each other with a worried but confused looks on our faces from his words.
"Where are we going?"
"A place called Earth." Ashley and I look at my father with more confusion. never in my whole life have I ever heard of a universe called earth.
"Wha??"
