4. A New Home.

The Purrgil told me to get everyone situated, and to hold on tight. i informed it we were ready, then space seemed to melt away. i could still feel the Purrgil, but not anything outside of it. this.. it scared me, on an instinctive level. i somehow knew if anything went wrong, we would be dead, at best.

The swarm sensed this fear through the hive-mind, and grew agitated. i mentally quiet them, then attempt to calm myself.

I immediately use this skill and i feel a certain distance from my fear. it is still there, but it does not seem to affect me as much as it had. I reach out and grasp it, and i find its not my death i fear. its that of my Hive. i then decide to do what i must to protect them.

"No, mother... we will protect each other. together. as a family." i hear my swarm whisper to me.

"we are one, and we are stronest when we work together." I respond to them, gripping my fire-stick, having put it back together. We are one. That is who we are. We are the Hive, and we will not stop until any who threaten our safety are dead, for only then will we be truly safe.

It was a few hours later when our new Purrgil friend left what i would later learn was called hypersapce. It spoke to me, indicating we had arrived outside the planets atmosphere, and that it was attempting to get us as close as it could.

i thanked it, and said that this was close enough, as we simply had to descend slowly. I could feel my carapaxe behinning to heat up, and so i slowed down a bit more, until i felt the friction caused by the atmosphere ease, and then vanish.

We had arrived.

i sent my soldiers to find and secure a home for us. they reported. back a few hours later, that they found a cavern with lots of room. I gathered the rest, and we left for the cavern. it was shortly after we had arrived that the system sent me a few notifications.

it was then i noticed all the little gems in the caverns walls and ceiling. i could feel them through the force. i closed my eyes, focusing on that feeling, and when i opened them, the entire cavern was bathed in rays of multi colored light.

System. Open the specialization tab and purchase Architect.

[Ding! Confirmed.]

i lay 5 eggs, and wait for them to hatch. while i wait, i practice my Meditation skilll, and simply bathe in the power of the force.

it was about an hour or two later when they had finished mutating, and i showed them what i wanted them to build. it was a mssive mountain, with millions of twisting labyrinthine tunnels, only one of which would be connected to the Rainbow Cavern, and several tall black towers, imposing, each with a round bulb on top, which is where the lookouts would be stationed.

i left the Architects to their work, and went for a wander around. i sensed a disturbance, and headed towards it, lifting off, and flying. when i neared the area, i landed softly, and crept forwards slowly. i saw some small furry creatures being killed by some tall two legged creatures, with a shiny shell. the weapons the two legs used where odd. like a triangle made out of boxes, and when they pointed it at the small creatures and squeezed it, it spat out a smalk thin fire ball, which bored into the small fury creatures, killing them.

my instincts told me they were prey, these larger creatures. I roared in anger, and bolted for one, using force lightning to electrocute it. its shell seemed to stop most of my lightning, but it wasnt moving anymore. i let the lightning fade, and turned to look at its friends. i buzzed my wings to give me a significant speed boost, and lashed out at the arm holding the Fire Spitter, severing it.

my rage was consuming me, so i turned to the last and roared. He lowered his weapon, placing it on the ground. It approached with its hands up, and i could sense no hostility, only caution, and concern? i looked down and realized i was standing over his companion, the one who had lost an arm. i looked back, cocking my head and buzzed my wings, as if asking a question.

i heard it catch its breath as i moved away towards the severed arm, and took the Fire Spitter. then i grabbed the dead two leg and dragged it behind me, as i left. i could sense the unharmed two legs fear easing as i left, along with his concern increasing as he collected the arm and his wounded friend and left the area, heading off into the forest.

i didnt see them again, and the small furry creatures that survived unharmed crouded around me. i extended my senses, and felt nothing but respect, awe, and fear. One reaches out towards my claws, and gently grasps them, giving a gentle tug. i follow, and they take me to thier village. the other small furry creatures are initially frightened of my appearance, but the one holding my claws makes a strange gesture and warbles something, calming them.

He goes towards a wall covered in pitures, and begins to paint.
