You're too stiff

"What is this commotion?" Manager Hin frowned.

"Ahh this girl pushed me when I asked her to help me. What kind of people are being hired these days? Isn't being old enough and now these young people want to hurt us."

"Old? He's just in his early forties. How is that even that old, He's acting like he's sixty and his every bone is broken from that mild fall that I didn't even cause" Koreen thought and silently looked at him and then at the manager.

"What? Is this true? Did you hurt him?"

"No Manager Hin, I didn't do anything. I was just waiiting for you because I needed to ask you a few things but this man came and asked for my help. I wanted to help him but he kept on approaching me and then deliberately bumped into me. It wasn't my fault he fell down." she explained and noticed that this man was still sitting on the floor while holding his back and thought to herself "what an actor."

"Sir I think maybe you're mistaken why would she want to hurt you. It must be a misunderstanding. Let me first help you get up." saying so Manager approached him and tried to help him but that guy didn't let him touch himself and started to yell that he wasn't mistaken and that he wants compensation.

Koreen was utterly shocked at how determined he was to blame her and she cursed inwardly. This wasn't how her first day of work was supposed to be. It's giving her a headache.

"Okay sir let us talk privately. Everyone get back to what you were doing."

While manager was trying to control the situation when a woman came almost sprinting towards the crowd. Koreen was the first one to notice her and before she could say anything to manager (who was being very supportive of her despite only having interaction with him once when he interviewed her) warn him about yet another person who might be looking for trouble, the lady came straight toward this world class actor sitting on the floor refusing to act rationally and tucked him up.

"Get up you idiot. Why do you insist on making my life miserable? I've warned you so many times and yet here you are."

"oh ah no I wasn't doing anything let me explain" He suddenly became like a domesticated cat and retracted his sharp paws. That was a flip no one expected. Strange.

"What are you going to explain? I already know what you're up to. You keep on embarrassing me and this is the last time I will leave you to fend for yourself. I am sick of this."

"Hey ma'am do you know this man?" Manager Hin asked the lady.

"Unfortunately yes and I apologize for the trouble. He always makes a scene and acts like a victim. He finds this amusing I don't know what is wrong with him but I assure you I will straighten him out once and for all"

"Oh thanks ma'am we didn't know I was trying to help him. It's alright."

After hearing this lady its relieving to know that I won't be blamed anymore. But seriously what kind of free time does he have that he goes around looking for trouble. Well just forget it, I am so tired already standing here and trying to explain everything.

They both left and everyone went back to their work like nothing happened here.

"Sorry Manager Hin because of this a lot of time was wasted and I am really thankful that you took my side and didn't blame me. I'll work hard and won't give you any excuse to be disappointed." Koreen bowed.

"I had a inkling that he was looking for trouble on purpose. It's okay you're new and I am good at judging people's intentions so I know yu wouldn't do such a thing. Let's just get back to our work. You know your job right?"

"Yes I do. I just wanted to ask you about how should I be approaching customers."

"Well just normally try to engage people in the conversation and explain to them about the benefits of the product and be enthusiastic while doing this. Cheerful people attract attention."

"Oh yeah yeah. Thanks manager. I'll give my 100 percent."

"I'll keep an eye on your performance, do your best"

Saying so manager left her to be.

Koreen looked at time and saw that they've wasted half an hour because of that strange guy.

"Well let's do this." Koreen cheered herself.

---------

Its been three hours since she started and she had made no progress. Not one person stopped to look at her. She started to wonder maybe her costume was creeping out people.

As she thought this a very sweet voice came from behind.

"You're too stiff bunny."

"huh" she turned her head.

"I said your body is too stiff, there is no movement. You need to speak through your body not just from your mouth" a 5 foot 3 girl standing near the counter behind explained to Koreen. She wasn't very tall herself but this girl was really short and somewhat cute, She wore bear claws on her hands and whiskers on her face with ears on her head.

"What is your name? I am Mira". said the bear clawed one.

"oh my name is Koreen. I just started working today. I am not very familiar with this work so I really appreciate your suggestions, but how do I do that?"

"Your speech is fine but just move your body don't just stand at on place, try to wave your hands more and be confident in your movements."

"okay I'll do that. Thank you."

"It's alright. Did you have your lunch break? Wanna grab something to eat together?"

"Yes Its almost time. I'd love to."

"Come then follow me I'll give you some more tips I've been doing this for months now. I've got a hang of it."

"That's be amazing. Let me just clean this up and I'll come with you."

"Okay."

Koreen was happy to get the help and hurridly cleaned her station and stacked every product in order and went to Mira so they could go together to have lunch.

They were given 20 minutes for lunch which wasn't much but this was a big supermarket so it was quiet busy during morning and even at night as it was open for 24/7.

Mira took Koreen to the back of the supermarket it was a open place, probably a storage room.
