~Chapter 18~

Lawrynce woke up to Alexavier shaking him, and tickling his back and under his arms. Best way to wake someone up these days.

"Hah, what?" He asked, looking up at Alex. The male was sitting up right, on his own side of the bed. He would give Lawrynce space, but considering how everything is going, he was scared space was the last thing Lawrynce needed. Lawrynce looked into Alexavier's lapis eyes and sighed, he had only just then remembered.

"Okay, start talking." Lawrynce whispered, sitting upright himself.

Alex nodded and hummed. This was about to be a long talk, and it was only 1 in the morning according to the bedside table's clock.

In the end, Alexavier taught me the werewolf ranks better, all the different species, told me basically everything about the pack, even told me about some people I would probably like since they knew my parents. But something more caught my attention when he started to talk about my "powers" and how I could get a grip of them better if I focused and gained confidence. I guess, that's something I need to start working on now. I laid on my side, facing the small Christmas tree in the corner of the room while Alexavier slept behind me.

I hummed a small lullaby to myself and thought.

To gain confidence and power over this...Magic, I would need to get a grip. I mean, telling myself I can't overcome this is like telling myself my death is near. I truly don't know what is to come.

Chewing my lip, I shut my eyes. Maybe I could try something new..

I thought to the Demons, thinking of everything I could, their faces, their stares, their sin-filled touch. And before I knew it, I felt a rush of heat and a flashing purple light I could only guess was my eyes glowing again. What was with my eyes glowing the same color as Alex's anyway?

I opened my eyes, looking around me, I wasn't in the room I was in earlier. I wasn't anywhere I had ever been. Somehow, I was in the middle of nowhere. Standing on a...what looked like a handmade raft. I was in the middle of the ocean.

"Where am I?.." I whispered to myself, looking around at the ocean. I smelled salt water and my eyes watered with a sting, but I wasn't crying, and it was only faint. "Hello." I heard from behind me, my head whipped around to find the owner of the voice.

My face fell slightly, shock in my expression.

"But you're.." I looked into the same purple eyes I wielded.

"I'm you. Yes." The voice said. It didn't sound like me, but at the same time...

The other "me" was standing on the other side of the small raft, dressed in black.

Was this a funeral I didn't know I was attending? Was this my funeral? What did I do now?..

I heard a small laugh, "This isn't a funeral."

Oh god, it can hear my thoughts..

"Yes, I can. I'm you after all. And I am not an 'it' I am you." They said.

I nodded and gulped, looking around again as if something would come up.

"You don't know what's going on, well, I can explain." I looked back to the voice as it spoke.

"This is your mind. It's not empty, it's just....concentrating or concentrated at the moment." The clone of me motioned to the water, how it was still, almost like glass. No ripples and no waves.

"When you get overwhelmed, it will start to cloud and fog, causing this place...to become a thunderstorm and waves. And sometimes other things.. this isn't the only place you can go." The voice spoke, "Oh, and this isn't my,...your,.. true form either. You will have to figure that out on your own. I'm obliged to show you what you look like in my present time." The slightly deeper than mine, voice, paused with a hum, tugging at his sleeves. I looked healthier than ever if this was me I was looking at. The clothes I wasn't all there for but, the jeans yeah, but the slightly ripped at the hems shirt... I could care less on that one.

"Okay, I'm your power source talking." The voice said, snapping me out of my slight trance. My own purple eyes gazed back at me with a glint.

"Okay, so,....are you here to?.. what? Teach me how to train?" The voice chuckled at my response then shook its head.

"I'm here to show you what to do. You can't touch me, so I'm not of much help. But considering you have gotten here without anyone help.... You're getting there. Slowly, but surely. You have four weeks at tops." The clone said, somehow I understood what it was saying. Maybe because it was me talking.

"So, I want you to close your eyes again. What do you hear?" He asked.

Shutting my eyes, I listened. I didn't hear anything, though..

"Think.... Where do you want to be?.." he asked calmly.

I want to be...home.

I felt the warmth from the sun shift to a cold breeze, it whistling in my ears while the cold hummed and swiveled around my skin in small waves.

When I opened my eyes, I saw my old house... It wasn't burnt, it was normal.

"Now, think of a memory you had here." The voice said, making me notice that the clone of they had disappeared.

"Uhm, okay.." I stumbled and let out a huff, seeing my breath clear in the air.

A couple second later, I saw the door open and Finnian leave out my house, "Bye, Finn! See you at school!" I yelled, in the memory, from the door, watching my Guardian leave.

"Yeah! Get some sleep." It was night? Oh, I guess it is now..

I looked up to the sky, seeing the moon and stars lighting the ground and making the snow illuminate a light pastel blue hue. It was beautiful...

Once the door shut, I looked at Finn, watching him walk into the woods a little ways before he shifted with those same popping of bones. It was all too weird... watching things I hadn't ever seen but now knew happened and existed. Was this real? Am I seeing the past from different perspectives?

"Yes." The voice echoed, almost startling me. I had forgot they were still there, "this is all real. While you are here, your body is lying next to Alexavier, your true Guardian, the time standing still. This is almost your most powerful ability. If you would like, I could tell you your ability's?" The voice said, the scene around me fading away as a blur before I was back on the small raft.

"Yeah, I want to know." I said, looking back at the clone of me, now behind me on the raft, "I want to know what I can really do.. And how to do it. How to control it." I added with determination lacing my tone.

The clone of me gave a faint smile, not seeming too shocked, maybe because they knew I was telling the truth. I had to overcome whatever is trying to overcome me. I have to wield it and use it as my own instead of it using me and being a source for people to take advantage of.

Then again.... If I can't overcome it, I might as well let it overcome me. But who says I can't take control of both? The abilities and my self consciousness. I need to use it to my advantage this time.

I'm going to start calling the clone of me Calvin, so I can give it,..me, a name. The clone hummed and took a step off the raft, surprising me when he started to walk along the water as it rippled from each step.

I swallowed and watched, Calvin looking back at me with his eyebrows raised, "C'mon." He said and shook his head, walking further out, facing away from me.

Was I supposed to walk with him?..

This takes a whole new meaning to imaginary friends..

I got the hint and hesitantly stepped off the raft, the water cold on the base of my feet. It was weird, as if stepping on jello.

There was very few clouds overhead, but when I looked up I watched the sun shift over, turning everything dark. Not pitch black, but the sun now being a moon, and the light it was projecting onto the water casted ripples on mine and Calvin's skin. I walked towards the clone of me, standing around five feet away when he stopped.

"Did you do that?" I asked, more so talking about the lighting as stars started to appear.

"No." He said, turning my way with a grin, his eyes glowing a faint purple, "You did. You may not know how to control it yet but you will get there. This place is like your imagination.." Calvin looked around him, as did I. So, what I want to happen will happen... Like a lucid dream.

"Correct, but since you can't control it completely, yet, it does it on its own accord." Calvin looked at me with a fading smile, "Now, there some other things you can do that somehow doesn't have any relations to the powers your wield in the present time. But I am from the future and the past. I am you."

That's why he sounds a bit deeper... he's me from the future. Did my style really change that much, but not my looks?

"Now, I am not a clear image. Your actions now will always affect me and I have zero permission to tell you where I stand in the future." Calvin spoke, his arms almost limp at his sides, "But, I can tell you about your Abilities considering, well, I am made up of them all." He said with a huff of laughter.

I nodded and blinked, looking down at my reflection on the ground.

"For one, you already know, world traveling. You made up the name Passer for this in the future for a shorter term." I nodded slowly and looked at my hands, "Two, you can see me right now. You have the ability to enter your mind as your current state stops time itself." A smile spread to my lips.

"Does that mean my lifespan is longer than most?" I asked.

"Correct again. You do not age here." Calvin grinned, "You called this Maje." I furrowed my eyebrows.

Why a 'j'?

"There a story behind it, but that's for another time. The third is your visions. You can see things at random. You can see the future, past, present. But, the future always changes, and some do notice when you are getting a glimpse of them in the present. You called this Ghosting. You could see them but they can't see you, basically just like a ghost. That's exactly how you put it."

That does sound like something I would say.. None of the names are cool! I pouted internally before Calvin continued.

"Four, the connection with Alexavier Darian Novak.. You are why he is a Guardian." I lifted my eyebrows and ducked my head in a way of saying "duh".

I mean, yeah, I've let that bit sink in.

"The connection he has with you, links you two, your eyes glow the same color. Haven't you noticed?" I nodded to Calvins words.

"And you obey him like an obedient dog because of the Guardian contract that's been sealed in both yours and his blood. Even if you are stubborn at times.." I lifted my brows in shock, okay, I hadn't heard of that part. I must have been really little... it's not that important at the moment, I'll ask when I get back to the,...well, when I get back to Viloce with Alex.

I sighed and let some of it sink in, "What does Alexavier have to do with my abilities?" I asked gaining his attention and line of sight again.

"Well, if you haven't noticed, you two are quite inseparable." Calvin chuckled, I could see a tint of pink in his cheeks. What does he mean by that?

"You two have abilities you can muster up of your own. Because of the contract you have a part of him and he has a part of you. But you both are connected even if you are the main ability wielder." Calvin said, but what I heard was that I was stronger than a freaking werewolf! That's awesome!

"An ability you share is called Force Field. You both can project a Force Field around you and him for a matter of seconds, but this is an ability you have to do together. Team work basically. This one was the easiest for you two to learn. The hardest was Trust. Yes, you called this one Trust." Calvin cut himself off with a chuckle, "And this one.... you are able to be anywhere at anytime. Yeah, it is a lot like your Ghost ability, but you come out of your body while you use some of Alex's inhuman energy to keep you out of your physical body and do as you wish. It does have partial teleportation. Now, those are all the ones I am allowed to speak of as of now." Calvin grinned before he sighed and turned away.

"You must go and get sleep, even staying here takes up your energy in the real world."

I hesitantly blurted, "Can I bring Alexavier here?!" I yelled before his fingers got the chance to snap, seeing as that was most likely the way I was going to get out of here.

"Yes... but that's for future you or just you to figure out for the most of it."

Before I could speak again he snapped his fingers, the water under me gave out and I fell through, but not getting wet, more so just sinking until complete darkness was in my vision.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back in the same room, facing my lit up small Christmas tree in the corner. In the same position I left in on the bed..

I'm back with Alex..

I turned around to see the male sleeping exactly like I had left him.

Time really did stop... And I really am drained.

I whined and put my face into the pillow, groaning quietly to myself before I let the darkness of sleep overcome my vision and fog my mind like a heavy blanket.
