Chapter 10: Idea

Finn sat back down at the table with glee. "How about... I teach you how to read?" Lily looked up from her tea cup as she sipped it. Finn stared at her lips as they glistened. He wondered what they tasted like. "Really!?" Lily shouted and jumped out of her chair. "That would be wonderful! Are you sure I will not be a burden?" Lily questioned. "Not at all! And since I own this little library, I am obviously qualified." Finn grinned at Lily with his eyebrows dancing. "Ahaha, Finn you kill me!" Lily came closer as she touched his shoulder. Finn felt his heartbeat out of his chest as he wanted to grab her hand. Lily quickly turned away and started to browse the collection. "So when will we be starting? And what book will we read and... and... Lily thought about Arlo and felt Embarrassed. She turned to Finn and softly spoke. " I will need to okay everything with my... my... Lily felt nauseous. "My husband first."

Finn's face completely darkened and he became depressive. "Oh, you're married. I should have known. I don't see a lot of women, especially beautiful ones like you around." Lily heard the pain in his voice and felt bad. She then felt her face flush. "He thinks I'm beautiful?" Lily thought. "Yeah, I am unfortunately.. Lily clenched her teeth. "I was originally from a flourishing tribe out west but everyone has died and my grandmother wanted a better life for me so I was contracted." Finn could hear the pain in her voice. "Contracted!?" "I am so sorry, I thought that was more of a royal thing but then again females are... Finn stopped talking when he saw tears in Lily's eyes. He walked over softly and hugged her.

Just outside Arlo was on his way back from the jewelry shop. He had obtained the most gorgeous ring for his bride. It was sapphire blue like Lily's eyes. He knew she may resent him at first but he knew she would come around. "I want to ask her properly and she will have to answer me. And that answer will have to be Yes!!" Arlo smiled cunningly. "Only I can take what she truly is." Arlo thought. He turned his head left and right to cross the street when he saw a man holding onto a blonde beauty through a large glass window. She turned her head. "That's LILY!" Arlo's expression turned sour and he felt his blood boil. Arlo turned to the right and made his way to that corner shop. "I don't want another man touching her. I don't want another man looking at her. I don't want another man thinking about her..." Arlos pace quickened as he entered the shop and grabbed Lily by her wrist. "We are going, NOW!" Arlo commanded.
