Chapter 20: It was real

Lily awoke very sore. Her eyes burned as the cracks of light shined through the curtains and perfectly fell upon her face. She sat up slowly as she looked to her left, she saw Arlo asleep on his stomach shirtless. Her eyes skimmed down to his lower back and it looked like he had a tattoo. Her curiosity was peaked but the ink ran under the left side of his pants leg. She stared at his muscular back and wanted to poke the tatted area. As she reached for him she felt a pain in her tummy and legs. she winced. "Ow" she exhaled slowly. Why do I feel so bad all over? She thought to herself. Lily began to recall last nights events and quickly pulled up her left hand to see the huge ring sitting on top of her forth finger. "It wasn't all a dream after all...." Lily slowly moved her hand up and accidentally grazed her hard nipple. She felt a tiggle between her legs and squeezed them shut. "Oh my..... did we... did we go all the way last night?" Lily pondered to herself and sat up scared. She moved the sheets out of the way and saw no blood and in recalling the events, they had stopped after Arlo's proposal. Lily exhaled with relief. "Good. I want to be of complete sound mind when that happens." Lily pondered "Why was she aching all over?"

Just then Arlo started to stir and leaned over to see his beautiful bride. "Good morning, he smiled" "Good....." then Lily halted her words as she felt them escape her body. "Arlo why am I sore all over?" Lily stared into Arlo's honeyed eyes searching for the truth. Arlo smiled and leaned over to kiss Lily's forehead. "It's your demon blood." He said matter of fact. "Unfortunately you are going to feel this every month. Almost like a woman's menstrual cycle but for a demon... especially for a woman these can be tough." "Every month!" Lily squealed. "But I already have a period every month and it's sucks! Lily jumped out of bed and winced again." Arlo rushed to her side. "Careful.. Arlo grabbed Lily by the waist and sat down with her on the bed. "This is why having a Dragon as a mate comes in handy. I know all sorts of things about demons and how to quell the demon blood." Arlo turned to Lily. "Oh do tell oh mighty dragon husband." Lily then pushed Arlo down on the bed and straddled him. She wasn't letting him go until she had answers and they better be good. She looked down at him and his face was bright red, was he embarrassed? once Lily realized that her nipples were exposed she jumped off him and covered her chest. "Sorry I didn't realize...." "Don't ever apologize for that.... if I could gaze upon those beautiful curves everyday I can do anything Arlo exclaimed." "Okay just forget that happened.... Lily tried to recover from her own embarrassment. "So what do i have to do to quell the demon blood." Arlo peered into the those green eyes, excited to see what emotion they will give once they hear the truth. "Okay there are 3 ways to quell the blood. Each more powerful than the last." "One: You have to learn to absorb energy." Lily looked dumbfounded. "We can go over the details of that one later." Two: You can drink human blood... Arlo saw Lily's eyes looked terrified. But she didn't say a word, just a nod for the final solution. Lastly the most effective way to quell the blood is to make love to another nonhuman." Arlo lips curled into a smile as he said it making Lily blush ferociously. All three work and all three I can teach you. " Arlo's velvet voice caressed Lily's ears. Lily hesitated with flushed cheeks. She then looked up with determination in her eyes. "Okay I'm ready. Tell me what I have to do!"
