Stephan and Derek

******* 25 minutes have already gone by with Derek explaining the situation *******

"So that's how we got here"

"Let me get this straight, so i woke up and transitioned to another world while you both got to see things unfold?", Stephan said with his voice increasing in tempo.

"Stephan listen to me-- that shouldn't be our problem right n---"

"Hang it there man, so we are in sort of a horror movie is that right?? Huh?huh?? Answer me man!" Now pacing around the tunnel, shaking his head in disbelief  "This is bullsh*t, someone's trying to play with us i don't kno--"

"STEPHAN!" Lena yelled, to everyones surprise "You have to stay calm, let's find our way out of here ok? Do you hear me Stephan?"

Stephan replied nodding his head in awe and fright.

"Thank you Lena" Derek said with a little smirk that Stephan found rather annoying.

"So back to our current situation, We're splitting up, i will take the Left path while You and Lena take the right way"

"Cmon man is there not any other way to go about this?"

"We have been over this Stephan, let's do it"

"So you're looking for an amulet, is that it? How are we even sure there is anything like that? Or if even if you find something like that it may not even be of any use. Think about it"

"We have to check for any possible clues on what's going on, we have to cover more grounds, i know you're scared but so is everyone of us"

"I'm trying to be rational Derek"

"Oh", clapping his hands in sarcasm

"Rational? Mr.rational tell me, where is your phone huh? You didn't think about that did you? But you are in here right now trying to be rational and you haven't noticed the size difference in those two tunnels have you?"

Stephan went silent, he looked straight at the tunnel now realizing it wasnt made to contain three people. The first tunnel had a width of accommodating one person and the right tunnel width was that of two persons,  sure you can enter the tunnel in three going one after the other but this was almost like a sign they had to split up.

Was someone really messing with them? It felt like the place was made for th--was made expecting them.

"You see it now don't you?",Derek leaned towards Stephan with a smile of satisfaction.

"Don't worry, i didn't notice too it was Lena's observation but at least i didn't claim to be mr.rational"

"This is not the time for jokes" Lena defended

"I get it, you made your point, what are we going to do if one of us gets in trouble?" Stephan asked in a more calm tone

Derek reached to the back of his pants and brought out a pocket knife.

"This isn't much but it's better than nothing"

He handed the knife to Stephan, which he reluctantly took.

Lena turned to Derek "What about you?"

"Don't worry about me i can take care of myself" putting up his usual manly character. It made Stephan sick but at least it was reassuring. As dumb and annoying Derek is to Stephan, he couldn't deny that he was doing the most and keeping everyone's nerve together. Derek was the kind of guy Stephan wanted to be. He wasn't very intelligent but he was brave,strong and charismatic, he attributes was what they really needed to get through this nightmare, He was a good leader, but now they're gonna have to split up, with Derek going alone, him and Lena going separately, honestly he wasn't sure they were going to achieve much like this but i guess this is the 1st step in being like 'Stupid' Derek.
