Chapter 12 Let's dance in the stars

High school was near to the end after graduation. I will be heading off to college, I will be going to the same one my brother and Jay are heading to so I won't be alone but I'm not scared of being alone or away from home. I'm scared of being away from her, I started to build a wall of happiness around my heart, and inside though walls are wedding rings but I will have to build higher and higher because I'll be leaving her. I'll be leaving home, Chole, and yes, Soleil. But I want to dance in the stars with her. I want to dance with her, but will she dance with me? I couldn't stop myself. I wrote a song that was about her but she won't know. SHe can't know no matter how much I want her to know she can't know. I can't let her tear the walls down if she does that, how can I leave? So tonight all I want is one dance and a goodbye but would she be okay with that? She has been ignoring me, not answering my texts messages, distance she has become out of reach but I will reach the sun one day but today is the day where I dance within its galaxy. 'I'm coming over, I want to hangout, I need to tell you something' I wrote the same text over and over until I sent it. I waited and waited but she texted me back with just a 'K' nothing more, I feel my heart add another brick to the wall. I got ready, grabbing my bass, notebook filled with songs. "Dad I'm going over to Soleil's" My dad looked up from the book he was reading "Ask her how her family is for me" "Okay" I smiled, leaving the house. I threw my stuff in the car, I held a smile. I wanted to see Soleil if only I remembered her from childhood but I don't like looking into that place. It's a nightmare that I can't walk through on my own. It took me a few minutes to reach her house. It made me realize how big it is like mine. Her family must be rich like mine but was it from hard work? I knocked on the door taking a deep breath. Someone tall answered the door. "Oh wow you're tall" I said out loud. He chuckled "Thank you, I'm Elian Fox, Soleil's older brother" He held his hand out to me as I shook his hand realizing how small my hands were, "I'm Mio Ryuko, It's nice to meet you" He let me in, "She's in our music room, It's down the hall to the right" He smiled. "Okay" I walked down the hall, heard piano, it was lovely. It's a sound that I won't forget. I stopped at the doorway of the room, She had her eyes closed. That wall I built was being teared down. The way her fingers danced along the piano was a touch I wanted to feel. "Hey It's been awhile and I would-" I cut her off "Will you dance with me"
