Chapter 16: First Time Spinning The Roulette (1)

It took Seth several minutes to calm down from his excitement. Even after calming down a bit, there was still a large, evil smirk on his face.

'Haha, they gave me these 7 weapons and thought themselves safe from me? Even if I do not get a single pantheon-tier ability, I will be able to kill Pantheon-tier Alphas. But I never thought these weapons were so powerful.

The Phantom Slaying Dagger is definitely one of the most powerful ones in terms of abilities but they are also stable. Each one of the abilities can change the entire course of a battle in a moment but they are able to be used with ease and without worry, unlike the other divine abilities.

The staff has a very different role. It was meant for either raising an entire army of soldiers by itself or taking down a weak enemy army. Although it can be used against weaker Alphas, I should try not to test my luck with it. I only used the acid to escape or in case of emergencies in my previous life. I should not start using it at random now.

These tonfas... they are unique. They are meant for just a single thing, making me more and more powerful so I can keep on fighting. These are the weapons of a true warrior. While I won't complain about a more powerful body, these are honestly the powers I want the least.

The sword-spear is similar to the staff. The only difference is that it focuses on taking down enemy forces. It is also more powerful than the other. The sword is the weird one. It has several different types of fire manipulation as well as being able to stop others in their tracks.

But the axe is truly dangerous. All 3 of its abilities are powerful in the right circumstances. The pantheon ability would allow me to kill almost anyone with a simple swing but I would have to master the skill first, otherwise, I would kill myself. The pursuit skill meant no one could truly escape from me but I also can only use within a limited time span.

The replication would be good if I could leave this space! There could be 2-4 spirits of me but they would be trapped in here with me? What would we do, talk to each other? I talk to myself enough? Literally talking to myself would make me feel even more insane than I already am.

The chakram is truly the best for me. They are not only the deadliest weapon of all of them due to their cutting power but all the abilities are super useful. I can even travel in space if I get the last one. This seems so perfect to me. The only thing I am worried about is the number of satellites/drones that I can summon of each type.'

Seth kept thinking about the various uses of the different weapons and which powers would make the best combination or which ones suited him the most. He let out a sigh though.

'Not like me planning and thinking about all of this will help me. All of these powers depend on the luck of my roulettes as well as the young Alphas I am able to meet. If I meet nothing but low-tier Alphas, then I can only cry about my shitty luck.

Well, it doesn't matter anymore. Let's just get this over with and try our first spin. We have to get our new powers someday so might as well be today.'

Seth opened the Ability Roulette menu and was greeted with a screen asking if he would use his high-tier spins, mid-tier spins, or low-tier spins. Always being the type to go from low to high when gambling, Seth chose the low-tier spin first.

In front of him appeared a small illusory wheel that was the size of his head. The wheel had 6 different sections on it with each one having something illegible written on it. At the very top was a black arrow pointing down.

Figuring the same way to spin it was the way he used the menu, Seth gave it the mental command to spin. The wheel began to spin rapidly to the point where he could not even tell the difference between the red, black, and white sections. Seth watched the wheel anxiously for 1 minute.

Then 2 minutes.

Then 3 minutes.

Then 10 minutes.

Then 1 hour. He was no longer anxious but instead frustrated by the wheel taking so long to stop spinning. A lightbulb went off in his head for a moment but Seth shook his head wanting to deny it.

'I can't be that stupid. It can't be that fucking easy.'

Seth then gave a mental command for the wheel to stop. As soon as he did, the wheel began to slow down until it finally stopped on a section. It landed on a white section but Seth still could not read it.

Once the wheel made its choice, all the other sections disappeared beside the white one that got landed on. It then shattered into motes of light before forming the words

[Congratulations, User! You have unlocked the low-tier ability: Aphrodisiac Potion.]

Seeing his new ability, Seth had mixed feelings about it. Although he was not so cold-blooded as he ignored the opposite sex, he was also not a sex maniac. But most importantly, he was still a soul/spirit! He was unable to use it himself.

But he understood the true value of the potion. Not only could it be used as a torture method or as a reward for loyal subordinates but it could also be sold to others as long as it was properly stored.

Although he had to test the methods for using it to see if it could be injected, taken orally, or be absorbed through the skin, he knew that no matter what, what he got was very useful.
