Where are you?

Kit looked over her phone for the hundredth time that night just to let her eyes dart up to the tiny time on the top corner of the screen. It currently read 04:51 and she sighed heavily at this. To reach the local train station before 05:10, she would need to leave by 04:55, but she was debating on leaving early or not.

Clenching her teeth, she looked over towards the bed where Aizawa was still curled onto his side sleeping. He didn't have to wake up for another two hours almost, but she couldn't help but be nervous that her missing body would wake him early. When in an actual bed, he slept rather hard compared to when he was in his sleeping bag in his classes, but he did sometimes notice her absence if she got up to get a drink or go to the bathroom.

Looking back at her phone, she glanced over the details for the mission that she basically had memorized at this point. Just a few moments ago, she received a notification that a voicemail had already been left for Nezu in his office that informed him of her absence until further notice; he more than likely also got an email.

Bringing her bottom lip between her teeth, she stood quietly and made her way over to the desk and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. She looked over to make sure he wasn't bothered by her moving before looking back at the paper to stare at it for a moment. The time next to her seemed to taunt her, showing she only had about three minutes before she needed to get going.

The pen hovered for a moment longer before she started to scribble the first thing that came to mind:

I will be back.

I love you

Kit

She froze as she heard a hitch in his breathing, deciding it was time for her to get out before she cracked and woke to tell him everything. Setting the paper out where he would find it, she grabbed her phone and turned off the location services so that no one would be able to track or locate her.

She twisted the handle all the way to the door before pulling the door open silently and kept it that way until she shut it again from the other side. Her ears twitched when she heard the click of the auto lock going into place, the sound seeming louder than normal.

Quickly making her way through the commons, she nearly came out of her own fur when she rounded the corner to the kitchen and came face to face with Todoroki. In his hand was a steaming cup of tea that sloshed with the force of his stop to keep from running into her.

"Good morning, Ms. Kit." His eyes lifted to the clock on the wall, "You're up really early…"

"A-ah, yeah." She swallowed, "So are you… what are you doing up this early?"

"I usually meditate early in the morning before school; I just woke up to do that." He lifted his cup to take a sip, "What are you doing up so early, Ms. Kit? I never see you up at this time."

"I was just going to get some fresh air." She put a hand on her lower belly, "It is already getting hard to sleep…"

"Oh." He looked at her hand, then back to her face, "You are more than welcome to join me in my meditation. I do it in the garden."

"Thank you. I might take you up on it some other time, but I'm going to walk to the local 24 hour mart for a snack as well." Kit smiled at him softly, feeling guilty for lying to him, "I'll see you later then, Todoroki."

He lifted a hand in goodbye as he watched her go, his eyes narrowing slightly on her exit, making her wonder if he saw through her lie too.

Once she got outside, grumbling to herself as she swirled her ears around to make extra sure that no one was around, her walk turning into a jog. The closer she got to the front gate, the jog turned into a full run to make up for the lost time from speaking to her student.

Thankfully she reached Musutafu station with record time considering her late start and soon found herself in her seat with a bento she was able to grab before getting on. The scheduled arrival was a little under three hours, so after she ate her food she napped off and on so she would be well rested by the time she arrived.

Unfortunately, by the time she got there, she was feeling snacky again but tried to push it down by looking over the details for the last time in her phone. She already had one text message from Aizawa asking where she was sent only several minutes before. Putting her phone back in her pocket, she looked around to see if she either saw one of the ones she was to meet up with or another ekiben stall.

"Kit." Her ear twitched towards the familiar voice before her head turned to see Orca walking her way, "I'm glad you made it on time."

"Gang Orca, a pleasure as always." She watched as he stopped in front of her, but noticed a smaller man stop next to him and her eyes widened when she recognized him, "I've seen you around U.A. with Yagi…" She blinked a few times, "… and Midoriya."

"I am Gran Torino. I am a former teacher of Toshinori and Midoriya did his internship with me at the beginning of the year." The old man's gravely voice held a light fondness when mentioning the two from her school, "I take it that you are Kit? You also work at U.A. as a teacher?"

"Eh, sort of. I am the trauma counselor full time and I assist the hero course teachers if they need an extra hand." She corrected softly.

Kit eyed the short man and she couldn't help but wonder how he was going to be any help. Not only was he short, but he was walking around with a cane with shaky legs. His hair was short and white, again showing his age, along with a white beard.

His complexion was light with yellow eyes that seemed to match the rest of his outfit that was some shade of yellow as well. On his back, was a bright oversized cape and his body was covered in a dull yellow suit. On his hands up to his elbows were gloves and his feet were covered by knee high boots, both the same colored yellow as his cape. Lastly, around his waist was a yellow belt with a 'G' for Gran on the front.

She cocked an ear to the side to hear someone coming up from the other side to see the last member of their team making his way towards them, "Edgeshot."

Kit took in the sight of the ninja hero and had to admit he was an attractive man. He was fair skinned with grey hair that was styled on the right side of his face into large points. His narrow eyes were a dark grey as well, but that was all she could see on his face since he covered his nose and mouth with a navy blue mask that tied on the back of his head with a thick red yarn.

His costume reminded her of a traditional ninja from a story book or even history books. He wore a dark red set of haori and hakama underneath a navy blue robe that matched his mask. From his shoulders to his elbow was dark cloth that attached to thick white forearm sleeves. His hakama were tucked into calf high legging type socks and on his feet were yellow getas. Around his neck was a wide red scarf that tied in the back leaving long ends free and on the front was a yellow mask. On his right shoulder was a golden mask that reminded her of a traditional oni mask.

"Kit." He greeted neutrally, "It has been a long time."

"Hm, it seems that I am the only one who has never met you previously." Gran Torino looked between the group.

"I've trained with both in the past." Kit shrugged her shoulders, "As you are the teacher of Toshinori and Midoriya, Gang Orca and Edgeshot are mine."

His brows rose, then he looked between them all again, "So, who is driving?"

Kit also eyed her group and could only laugh a little at the awkward look they shared, "I'll drive, but I'm not driving a van."

Soon, they were making their way towards Deika City that was located in the more mountainous region of Aichi Prefecture, which was only about an hour away from where they met outside the station. Orca spoke with her up in the passenger seat while Edgeshot and Torino sat in the back quietly. She at one point heard the older man snoring and couldn't help but worry about his health for this mission.

Along the drive, it seemed that the others back at U.A. noticed that she was actually not on campus, so her phone kept 'dinging' with a new message or phone call every few minutes. Orca eyed her phone that sat in the middle compartment after the first couple, sending her sympathetic glances after a while, but didn't say a word about it.

They only had to stop once for a bathroom break and while there Orca bought her a small bento claiming that he knew she would be hungry since she was pregnant. She wanted to be offended, but couldn't as she scarfed down the food at an embarrassing speed, and thanked him anyway.

Just outside of Deika city, they pulled off to the side of the road where there was a sightseeing area, "This should be close enough." She eyed the older man in the rearview mirror, "Right?"

His eyes narrowed on her and 'humfed' before opening his door to get out, "Don't underestimate me."

Kit sighed and got out of the car too, then looked at the other two, "So, how do you want to do this?"

Orca pulled out a bag from his pocket and handed out earpieces, "Since both Edgeshot and Kit have the ability to get around without being detected, I think you two should start going through the buildings individually while Gran Torino and I go around the city to see if we hear anything odd."

Gran Torino nodded a couple of times in agreeance, "It's a sound idea, though I have no idea the extent of Kit's quirk."

"You know she is good if she is a member of the HPSC's private force." Orca folded his arms to look down at the short man.

"I am not doubting if she was good or not, but I know nothing of her quirk or anything for that matter." Torino stressed the last part of his sentence.

"I have blue flames, I have illusionary magic, and I can go into a beast form..." Kit twitched her tails in front of her, "I am called the Fox Magic Hero… Though some at HPSC tease I should change it to Inari's Hero due to having nine tails…"

One side of his mouth turned downward, "And how does this make you stealthy?"

Her eyes narrowed on him as she felt the stirrings of irritation, her ears laying back. She let her body heat up, her eyes taking on a bright glow as her body became enveloped in flames, then disappeared within them as they went out. She became satisfied once she saw his mouth part slightly in shock, then looked around.

Her steps were quiet before she came up behind him to let herself reappear, then let a tail tickle the back of his head for him to swing around to stare at her, "Satisfied?"

"Yes." He bowed slightly, then looked back at the other men, "I'll send in our last locations to base, then we go dark. We'll set out in about five minutes."

Kit watched as he walked off to make his call and Orca came into her line of sight, "You should let Eraser Head know that you are okay... This might be an intel. mission, but things could always go wrong."

She opened her mouth, but then nodded to pull out her phone, looking at the missed calls and text messages; 2 miss calls from Mic, one text message; 1 miss call from Yagi; 1 text message from Midnight; and 8 missed calls from Shouta and 17 text messages. Guilt flooded her mind as she looked over the messages, tears springing to her eyes at each one.

She pulled up Aizawa's number, looking to see that both Orca and Edgeshot were off talking to give her privacy. She stared at his number for several seconds before pressing the green call button next to his name.

After the third ring, she thought about the time and thought maybe he was in class, but then heard, "Kit?? Where the fuck are you?"

"I cannot tell you that, Shouta, I'm sorry." She walked a little more away from the group, almost afraid they would hear his rage, "All I called to tell you is that I'm still okay and I'm not alone, so I'm safe."

"Goddamn it!" She was actually pretty shocked to hear his normally calm self sound so irrational and oddly enough it was kind of arousing, but she wanted to blame the last part on her hormones, "This is what the Commission wanted the other day, isn't it?? Why couldn't you just tell them no??"

"I..." She stuttered, her hand trembling, "I don't know how to tell them no... I've never been allowed to say no..."

It was quiet on the other end for a several moments and Kit actually pulled the phone away to see if he had hung up when he spoke again, "What will I do if something happens to you this time?" His voice was quiet this time, "I just about lost my mind last time, the next time... I don't know. I can't lose you…"

This caused her to clench her jaw as a sob threatened to escape her throat, "I'm so sorry." She shook her head, "You knew I was part of this before we even started this relationship..." When he remained quiet, she sighed, "I don't know how to make you feel better about this, but I'm here with some of the best people I know."

"You can say that, but god." He groaned in defeat, "I love you... Please come back to me."

This time the sob did escape her, but her eyes noticed Orca motion to her, "I love you too." She took in a shaky breath, "I have to go now. I don't know how long I'll be, but I'll come back to you."

She hung up before he could respond, quickly wiping off her face of any tears, then made her way over to her team. She saw the look of sympathy given to her by each of them, but they kept their comments to themselves.

"Keep the line clear unless you find something or deem something important." Edgeshot's voice was quiet, "And we are not to engage in any battles unless there is no other choice." His eyes closed, "We'll split up from here. We regroup back here at 20:00 unless informed otherwise."

Kit quickly let her quirk take over and became invisible to run into the city. She went through each building she came across, looked over papers that she found posted. Hours went by like this, only taking two small breaks to sit when her body became a little queasy, then continued on. Orca was the only one to come up on the ear piece to say that he heard a group talking about a meeting, but couldn't get close enough to get more information.

Soon, it was 19:45 and she decided to make her way back to their meeting spot. She was actually surprised when she got there that she was the last one there. She let her invisibility drop in the woods before she reached them so that she didn't startle them. The three men were talking, Orca pointing out something on his phone and when they saw her, they greeted her politely.

"Kit, glad to see you're safe." Orca greeted.

Edgeshot eyed her for a moment, "Anything?"

"I wish." Kit sighed, then motioned to the car, "Let's get going before we get noticed by someone we shouldn't."

"I called us in a room for the next week, but they only had one left, but they'll give us additional futons. You'll need to use an illusion to get the key, Kit, but the room is already paid for under the name Arita Miyu." Edgeshot offered, sending Kit an apologetic glance, "Sorry I didn't ask in advance, but this is the last room in the area." When Kit only shrugged, he looked at the other two, "I'll set the directions in the GPS if there are no objections."

Torino watched as Edgeshot put in the directions, looking at how much time it would take to get there, "Give me your orders and I'll have food delivered for when we get there."

The conversation was light while she drove, but for the most part she stayed quiet. Her guilty mind wouldn't let her think about too much else. Sure, she had done secret missions for the Commission before, but she didn't have a lover at the time that knew the kind of dangers she could be put in.

They got to the hotel within ten minutes and Kit changed her body to look like another female, then pulled out her I.D. to cast an illusion on it as well. She went inside and came out only minutes later with the room key and four sleeping yukatas. She didn't let her illusion drop until they were all safely inside the room.

"The man at the front desk told me that they stored the extra futons in the closet." Kit then eyed the room, "Though I'm not sure how we are all going to fit."

"It will be tight, but we'll all fit." Orca also eyed the room, but nodded.

Soon food arrived and they all ate in silence as it seemed each person had something on their minds. Kit munched away at the food happily since most food seemed to upset her stomach lately, but that was the only thing she seemed to be happy about.

"How far along are you, Kit?" Orca asked into the silence.

Startled at the sudden question, Kit quickly looked up to him to see the other two look towards her too, "About eight to ten weeks as of a couple of days ago... I'll get a more accurate timing at the next appointment the doctor told me."

Gran Torino gained an appalled look, "The Commission told you to do this while you were pregnant?"

"Yeah." Kit nodded, "They didn't give me much of a choice."

His eyes softened, his eyes returning to his plate, then they seemed to bug out, "If you're part of the Commission, what are you doing at U.A. for them?"

Kit shook her head, knowing he was already thinking the worst, "I cannot tell you that."

Edgeshot gave the older man a sideways look, "You know that sometimes we cannot speak about individual missions."

Torino's eyes didn't leave Kit, so she forced herself to look away, "We should set up the futons. Being pregnant makes me sleepy fast."

They quickly set up the futons and Kit eyed the arrangement and even Edgeshot sighed, "We're going to be sleeping right next to each other."

"We are all adults in this room." Torino looked at Kit for a second before laying down on a futon next to the wall, "Though some barely."

Kit's face broke out into a snarl, forcing Orca to step between them, "We need to calm down." He took the futon next to the old man, "You two choose your futons."

Edgeshot took the other futon against the opposite wall of Torino's, so Kit found herself in the middle of him and Orca, "If Aizawa saw this, I'm pretty sure his eyes would pop from his head."

This only caused Orca to chuckle, "I think you know that I definitely see you like a younger sister, despite the fur."

"Is Eraser Head the father of your child?" Edgeshot asked as he turned over to face her as she lay on her back.

"Um, yes." Kit nodded, looking his way.

"Did you give up on Hawks finally, then? I remember you used to speak about him a lot back then." He asked next.

Kit knew the question was innocent, but she couldn't stop her face from getting red, "It's complicated..."

Orca and Edgeshot exchanged looks of confusion and while Orca continued to look confused, Edgeshot's eyes widened, "Oh."

Kit covered her face with her hands, "I think we should sleep now."

There was a humming of agreement from each of them before Edgeshot turned off the light before anyone could blink. Kit stared into the darkness for a little bit, her eyes quickly adjusting to see in the dark, but she decided to close her eyes to think about her dark haired lover so she could sleep.
