"Bouquets"

In shock, Juana dropped her burger and stood up, "Matt… I…" she then turned her head to Greta, "You… You tricked me! I thought we're friends!"

"Remember that Matt will always be our priority. Besides, why will I choose you? Our parents are business partners."

"You traitor…" Juana gritted her teeth in anger.

"You're really jealous of Sydney, aren't you?" Matt said as he slowly approached Juana. He led her to the wall, and when she had nowhere else to go, he glared at her. "Instead of Sydney, I'll make sure that you… transfer schools."

He punched the wall just beside her head, then walked towards the door.

Juana's tears fell and she sat on the floor as she felt helpless in the situation. Her beloved Matt got angry at her because of Sydney.

'Yes, it's all Sydney's fault,' She thought that if only Sydney wasn't her classmate, then she would have the chance to be with him.

"Excuse me," a young man called, "Is Sydney here?"

"Hi, Lenoir-senpai! She went to the cafeteria with Olivet," PJ said, who had just passed by.

Lenoir gave a smile, "Alright, thank you!" and he headed to the cafeteria.

The moment Juana saw Lenoir, she realized that the Senior liked Sydney too, just like Matt. She remembered seeing them bickering at the inter-school concert. She also saw how he took care of her at the stage and at the backstage.

She now planned to get Lenoir and Sydney together as soon as possible to make Matt give up, and before he uses his influence and sends her away to transfer schools!

Juana stood up quickly and went outside to try to catch up with the Senior student. Running in panic, she successfully caught up, "Lenoir-senpai!" she called out.

Lenoir turned his head and saw the girl panting behind him. "Hey. You're Juana, right? The class president in Sydney's class? What is it?"

"You… You like Sydney, right?"

He was taken aback by the unexpected question. With a subtle smile, he answered, "Yes, I do like her. But why do you ask?"

"Shall I help you with her?" she grinned, "I can think of any plans, or you can tell me how I can help you."

Lenoir chuckled, "I'm not in a hurry, but I appreciate your help," He's confused why the class president opened up the matter. "Why so sudden?"

"Well, I am just concerned with her since she lost her voice. I think having a boyfriend will help her feel happy in any way."

"She's lucky to have a nice class president like you, Juana. Thank you," he showed a delighted face, "I need to go now before Sydney finishes eating."

As soon as Lenoir turned his back on her, Juana giggled, excited for what she planned for them.

The next day, when Sydney entered her classroom, a bouquet of roses was placed on her chair. She scribbled on her magnetic board and asked her classmate, [Who gave this?]

"Sorry, I didn't notice," PJ said, as he glanced at the roses, "There's an envelope attached. Maybe you can see who the sender is."

Sydney nodded at him as thanks, took the envelope attached to the bouquet, and read it silently.

'Dear Sydney,

Roses are red, violets are blue, love never crossed my mind until the day I met you!

With love, Lenoir'

Sydney widened her eyes in surprise. Not only because she has seen the message somewhere on the internet before, but also because she didn't know that her Senior would send something like this!

She thought all this time that if ever her Senior would court a girl, he would send her an original poem, but no!

"Good morning-" Matt just got in, and he paused his greeting when he saw the bouquet of roses. He immediately grabbed the envelope that Sydney was holding and read it. Instead of being mad, he got fired up, "Syd, I can give you a better gift than this!" he said as he placed his hands on her shoulder.

Sydney facepalmed, then scribbled on her board, [Don't bother.]

"Always so cold, Syd," Matt uttered, then let go of her, "But I still like you. I won't lose to Lenoir!"

When lunch break came, Matt's butler came, "Sir Lenoir. Here's the bouquet you requested." He gave them to him.

"Thank you as always. You may go now."

As soon as he turned his back on him, Matt approached Sydney who was eating a packed lunch on her seat together with Olivet.

A bouquet of fully bloomed sunflowers suddenly appeared in her sight. She widened her eyes in awe, and she couldn't remember the last time she saw them. She wrote [Thank you!], but Matt said, "I'm not yet done. PJ, let me borrow your guitar."

PJ let him borrow his acoustic guitar, after taking it out from a hard case. Matt thanked him and wore the guitar strap, then facing the girl he liked, he said, "Sydney, this song is for you:

(Song: When I See You Smile - Bad English)

Sometimes I wonder how I'd ever make it through

Through this world without having you

I just wouldn't have a clue

'Cause sometimes it seems like this world's closing in on me

And there's no way of breaking free

And then I see you reach for me

Sometimes I wanna give up, wanna give in

I wanna quit the fight

And then I see you baby

And everything's alright, everything's alright

When I see you smile, I can face the world

Oh, oh

You know I can do anything

When I see you smile, I see a ray of light

Oh, oh

I see it shining right through the rain

When I see you smile

Baby when I see you smile at me

Oh, yeah..."

Everyone in the classroom gave applause to Matt, while Juana just stood beside the window, glaring at them. She failed on her first plan, and because of it, it seems like Matt had an advantage now against Lenoir!

Dumbfounded and shy, Sydney stood like a statue in front of Matt. When she saw his killer smile, she shook her head, telling herself not to get moved too much.

"My gift is better than Lenoir's, right? Hmm?" Matt said, leaning in closer to her and waiting for an answer. He found Sydney cute as her cheeks turned redder and redder because of shyness.

"What a great performance, Vice President of the Music Club," Lenoir, who coincidentally passed by at the time, heard him sing a song for Sydney. "You should perform at the school festival."

"I will only sing for Sydney," Matt responded, "I also sang today because I want to make Sydney forget about the bouquet of roses that you gave to her today."

"What bouquet? I didn't give any."
