"Trouble by the Class President-1"

"Don't deny it. Your name's on it," he took the envelope from Sydney and showed it to him. "Here…"

Lenoir was confused. "Why will I copy and paste a poem from the internet? If I send her a letter like this, I should have made the poem myself."

"Then… If it's not you, then who did it?" Matt looked around the room to see everyone's reactions. And as soon as he and Juana's eyes met, she avoided him and ran out of the classroom.

Matt's mood turned sour, and his eyebrows furrowed. He wondered what kind of twisted personality that the class president had that she kept on messing with Sydney.

His beloved Sydney still didn't know that Juana was the culprit behind the loss of her voice. Even though they had always been fighting because Juana liked Matt, it never crossed her mind that she would resort to a wicked plan.

Sydney saw the drastic change in Matt's expression at that time. When he was about to leave and his eyes followed Juana who ran out of the room, she grabbed his arms and shook her head. He was showing such a scary expression that it got her worried.

He sighed, and patted her hand, "Okay, Syd. I'll stay."

Olivet, on the other hand, thought deeply about the matter. She had observed Juana's hate towards her best friend, and she felt like she needed to make a move. She wanted to make it up to Sydney, because she felt guilty that she couldn't prevent the unfortunate incident. If only she was there all the time, she could have stopped her from eating sweets.

But she didn't expect that something bad would happen in just some hours. She couldn't go around and say that Juana was the one who made Sydney voiceless because she didn't have any evidence.

Olivet thought that perhaps all she could do right now was to make sure that she wouldn't mess with her bestie's life again.

There was a Music Club activity that day. Sydney was hesitant to come inside the room, but she was encouraged by Lenoir. "Don't worry, Syd. I will explain what happened. I'm sure they will understand."

Olivet sat with Sydney on the floor as they listened to the club president.

"Everyone here in the Music Club is welcome, whether you're just a music fan or a musician. It came to my knowledge that some of our members want to remove Sydney from this club. But in my opinion, it is unfair," Lenoir talked so seriously that all the members were focused on him, "I know you are all used to seeing Sydney as one of our best singers. Unfortunately, she had an illness, and it got worse, that's why she's voiceless now."

The students were surprised about this. Most of them judged her without knowing her side of the story.

"I'm not asking everyone to sympathize with her, I just want you all to know the situation. I hope you can still welcome her in the club like before," he continued, "Besides, aside from being a music lover, Sydney can also play the guitar. Right, Sydney?" Then he turned in her direction and smiled.

Sydney's tears formed in her eyes and she smiled back at him. She nodded, and scribbled on her magnetic board, [THANK YOU...]

The club members who had looked at her in disdain now gave her friendly smiles. She was then encouraged to play the guitar while Lenoir sang,

(Song: Fall for You - Secondhand Serenade)

"The best thing about tonight's that we're not fighting

It couldn't be that we have been this way before

I know you don't think that I am trying

I know you're wearing thin down to the core

But hold your breath

Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you

Over again

Don't make me change my mind

Or I won't live to see another day

I swear it's true

Because a girl like you is impossible to find

You're impossible to find."

While Lenoir sang the song, he kept his eyes on Sydney, even though she was concentrating on the chords of her guitar. It has been a while since he saw her use it, and he's pleased that Sydney still had a good reason to stay in the Music Club.

After the long meeting and other students' performances, Olivet noticed that Sydney had been looking around the room.

"What is it?" she asked her.

[Where's Matt?] she wrote on her board.

"Ah, I don't know. I haven't seen him since the start of the meeting."

Sydney found it weird because he was never absent in the Music Club activities. Somewhere deep within her, she misses him, but she shook her head and shoo away those thoughts.

Then, the day of the big decision came.

Sydney and her parents were called once again to the principal's office to give an official statement and a unified decision. Also inside the room were Miss Aira and Miss Elle.

"So… I believe you have discussed it as a family," Principal Marx said, "What is your decision regarding your daughter Sydney?"

Sydney gave a worried look to her parents, and her mother stroked her hair, "It's alright, dear. It's alright."

Then Sydney's father finally spoke, "We have decided to-"

But he was interrupted when a student barged in.

Miss Aira yelled, "What is it, PJ? We're in an important meeting!"

"There's a big, big problem!" PJ shouted as he panicked. He was panting because he ran far.

"What is it?" Miss Elle asked with concern.

The principal added, "What is the problem? Is it very important that you had to interrupt this meeting?"

"The principal is right," Miss Aira uttered, raising her eyebrow. "Make sure you have a good reason."

He wiped his sweat with his palm and told them, "Everyone's in the gymnasium… in chaos… very… bad…" They couldn't understand his words that much because he kept on panting.

Miss Elle approached him and said, "Take deep breaths and relax, PJ. And talk slowly."

"Well…" PJ said after he had calmed down, "Someone's getting bullied."
