First Lie

Yeah, good job partner," chortled Ruhani.

"No wonder, nobody is getting close to her room," Niki chuckled.

The warden was shouting from inside and nobody was going close to her room. Some girls were trying to break the locks with an iron rod. Some were genuinely trying while others were just standing and savoring the moment.

"I think the warden has a terribly upset stomach," whined a girl in disgust.

"I am not sorry for her. She is a mean lady," giggled the other.

They finally broke the two smaller locks but everybody gave up after an hour. No guard was allowed to enter the hostel premises without the principal's permission. It was decided that everybody should go off to sleep and call for help in the morning, with the principal's permission. The lady Hitler too got tired from thumping and shouting. All of us went back to our rooms and slept.

The next day, the principle came to the college at around 10am. The help came and finally the locks were broken. Everybody was gathered around her room and she finally came out and sprinted to use the washroom.

"Figures the reason of smell," somebody said from the crowd, while others giggled.

From that day, she mutated into a less spiteful lady, who was now frightened to rebuke any girl. All the students were given a long lecture by the principle but, till date nobody knows that we are the culprits.

Revenge is definitely sweet but can also be terribly stinky, that's what we deduced that day!

.....

The next day at the coaching we were proudly narrating to Aarosh and Vivan , the whole saga of the revenge. We entered the classroom and were about five minutes late when Mrs. Eta had already begun to explain a new topic, the relation between demand and supply in an economy. So, I thought of pleading her to repeat the last five minutes of her lecture, for better understanding of the topic.

"Excuse me madam!" I stood up and appealed, "Can you please repeat the concept of demand and supply from the beginning. We missed some part of the lecture."

Mrs. Eta stared at me angrily and yelled "you want me to repeat the entire concept of supply and demand which I taught in the previous lecture!"

I failed to understand her words. Without a second thought I asserted "no madam! The pervious lecture was on Monopoly."

Mrs. Eta gave me another incandescent look. "Just because you failed to attend my last lecture doesn't give you any such special privilege to know what you missed."

"But mam, I didn't miss even a single lecture of yours. I think you are mistaken," I protested.

Mrs. Eta's face was turning red from exasperation.

"Amayra Shanon! Let me remind you, you and your friends were not present in my previous lecture. You should be thankful that I did not complain to your hostel warden regarding this," shrieked Mrs. Eta Khan.

I was even more perplexed and before I could say any other word in my defense, I felt a sharp tug on my back which literally made me fall back on my seat. I turned back and realized it was Aarosh who had pulled me back.

"Are you crazy Aarosh! She doesn't remember what she taught. At least someone needs to tell her." I hissed at him furiously.

Meanwhile Mrs. Eta, still in a bad mood had continued teaching supply and demand relation.

"Will you just control yourself? She isn't crazy, she is right. We did miss the last lecture. It wasn't an off. I lied to you, so that you would go out with us," he said, trying to suppress his laughter.

I looked at him wide mouthed not believing my ears. Did I just skip a lecture for the first time in my life and as if that was not enough I even questioned a teacher about it in full confidence. In just few seconds a million thoughts occurred to my mind. I shuddered at the thought that I could have been expelled, if Mrs. Eta would have inquired about me from the "lady Hitler".

I suddenly regained my senses, when I realized all four of them were laughing hysterically at me. "Hehehe... hehehe... look at your face Amy! Hehehehe!"

After a few seconds I myself couldn't help but laugh off at the whole scenario.
