"Ok ma'am, maybe you are right. But what do you want from me? Why have you even kidnapped me?" I asked her annoyed while glaring at her. I couldn't believe I was agreeing with her right now. 

"Oh nothing much baby boy, I just want you to get married to my daughter. And if you agree, I will leave you. As simple as that." She smirked, making me shocked. As I looked at her once again, I realised that she wasn't too old, maybe in her late thirties. And she wanted me to marry her daughter? How old was her daughter again? Was this some kind of child marriage? And what about her daughter's studies and dreams? Didn't she had any?

Unexpected Promises

Numb; it's all that I felt. Darkness surrounded me from all the sides. And I couldn't feel any of my limbs, just a beeping sound could be heard, which irritated me. Was everything alright? Why couldn't I see anything, or open my eyes? 


As I forced myself to open my eyes, bright lights blinded me, forcing me to squeeze my eyes shut again. A searing pain pierced through my head before spreading out to my body, making me groan. 


When I tried to lift my right hand, a searing pain shot through my shoulder, making me wince and keep my hand back on the bed. 


Lifting my left hand, I rubbed my forehead, feeling numb, hurt and thirsty, all at once. What happened? Where was I? And why was my body paining? All these questions roamed around my mind as I tried to remember what happened the last time I was fine. Or how did I even land here? It didn't look like my room at all.
