I'm going to beat you up

A few... love exchanging hours later, Delion managed to convince the lady to go after Selia again. This time they at least have sort of a plan, that is for Jimmy the bobcat to defend them.

But mostly, Delion is curious regarding how this will play out. Bobcats can obviously hurt ghosts, but not souls for some reason, or at least William's soul.

Question is, can a bobcat hurt a seemingly more powerful ghost like Selia? Or is she really a ghost? If this lady is pursuing a handful of humans then she must have lived before, meaning she is a soul.

Yes a soul far different from William, her colour is far more life filled while the old man's was dark and... enhanced peeing out dark liquids.

That's what testing is for, they're out in the open here, walking around in the village in the midst of night, waiting for Selia to grant a visit.

But yet, no ghost's showing its ugly head, no soul, nothing paranormal to the slightest. The break of dawn is less than an hour away and Selia isn't making a show.

Since recent paranormal activities happened in the graveyard, with tad hesitation, Delion pitches. "My love, I think we should go to the graveyard and check for anything unusual."

Most definitely liking how Delion is softening up and using sweet language too, but hating the idea and cussing at the thought as well, she gives out a loud whisper. "No, that's a bad idea."

Teasing the lady to lift up the mood, he asks with a tone rising high for the first time in a long while. "You aren't scared, are you?"

Fairly sarcastic with a prime aim to fight away the tease, she chirps. "Oh no... why would I be scared of a graveyard where William came to greet us."

"With Jimmy around, only Selia can harm us and I don't really mind running naked again. It's not like I have anymore dignity after Selia hit me." Painfully funny in some aspects but it makes it tad concerning when taking it as a fact that this man ain't trying to be funny.

Having it hard not to giggle and fairly convinced, she adds. "If we get jumped then I'm going to beat you up."

Reminding a phrase, he adds. "Again, I have no more dignity so do it."

...

Arriving at the graveyard, it mayhaps would have been a good idea to not come here at all. But yet again if they didn't walk here, a new mystery would have never been solved regardless of bright minds and technology.

The dirt where Jingo's grave is supposed to be, is fairly elevating a few feet tall but descending upon every second, like a cycle and as if 1,000 people went under the man's grave and tried to push the dirt up with their breath, but accidentally formed a triangle.

"What the fuck!" Ambers got the honours to shout and spooked whatever procedure the dirt has going on here.

Fearless through and through, Jimmy charges forward, hisses and swipes his paws against the dirt, in complete disregard of any risk factors.

Swiping against the dirt a few times, that triangular form breaking because of it, the two detectives hear something mourn with a shout. "Ouch!"

"They are ghosts!" Delion pointed out, basing it on the experience in the house.

"Don't let them get the body." Delion shouts once more, realizing that these paranormal jackasses are after this specific corpse for some reason.

With ghost-o-phobia becoming a thing in Amber's heart today, but again understanding that this situation demands action, she rushes towards the grave and tackles the pack of dirt.

Fairly out running Delion, he reaches the lady right after and witnesses her getting dragged a split second later across the graveyard, away from the corpse.

Deciding that Ambers is more important than a dead possibly evil guy, the detective rushes towards her, jumps on the lady to get a grip and gets dragged along with her for a few meters.

Delion isn't that heavy, fairly average so it only means that the ghost(s) who grabbed this lady have let go.

A further fact, they turn around and spot that Jingo's corpse is dripping dirt while flying 8 feet above the ground.

The two detectives thank the angels and above that Jingo isn't coming back to life here, but this situation isn't so favourable either.

The body is being dragged away towards the sky and these two lovers can't nearly do a thing to bring it down.

Well they can't bring it down but most definitely can follow it! Standing up almost at the same time, following Jimmy who's chasing the ghosts although most definitely out of reach, they all leave the graveyard and head for mother nature.

...

The team of three have ran about a kilometer away from town now, trying to keep up with Jingo's body.

Spotting it fly 30 feet above ground isn't exactly hard considering that it's getting brighter by the passing minute, the problem is running this long.

Even Delion being a hunter of some sort, known to easily walk over 20 kilometers a day, is having it hard to catch up with the flying body since it requires constant running. If they just had to jog then it would be a lot easier.

...

Running for another three kilometers here, Delion started noticing a pattern that he doesn't quite like.

They have been brought back to that large boulder, where old William supposedly commited suicide. The body has led the team to Jack's peek.

Stopping for a second to catch their breaths, especially since the body has stopped flying forward but straight upwards instead.

They spot the body slowly disappear the higher they get. Not because of height differences, more like invisibility!

The body is disappearing through thin air and the team can't nearly do anything about it but watch!

Having a look of his surroundings, Delion spots the sun rise from the horizon and tries to put all of this together, although cussing. "For fuck's sake."

Right after, the team of three collapses. No weird magic or paranormal stuff has been brought upon them, but they are absolutely exhausted by having to sprint-run for 4 kilometers!

Ambers even hurls out whatever she ate after the two lovers got at it with each other.

While Delion crawls near her and pats the lady's back, assuring that he's here. "Let it out."

...

About ten minutes later, taking all their time to let their bodies relax, Ambers remembers. "We got jumped by ghosts so I'm going to beat you up now."

Serious enough, she even stands up and waits for Delion to do so as well.

Brave enough to face a lady taller than him, the detective corrects. "Technically you jumped on the ghosts, so I should beat you up."

"Oh right, do it then." Ambers demands, hoping that Delion is thinking the same thing.

Taking a look around, he spots one of those bushes that get a faded colour in winter and cites. "I will, but we need to go behind that bush over there."

Agreeing, knowing where this is going. The poor bobcat who followed them along, escapes the bush, gently walking away for a few feet and can't help gagging.

And henceforth, intimate sounds started echoing out of the bush.
