What did he do?

Last night... well although it ended up peachy for the two detectives, Jingo's body was still dug out of his grave and flown to Jack's peek.

It is a bizarre situation at least, there is no other way to put this into word but through all of that disaster, Delion managed to capture one slightly firm fact about these accursed body stealing ghosts.

They seem to have something against daylight and maybe Selia does as well. Most of the murders have been done through the night, the ones before Jingo especially.

But since Jingo was killed in broad daylight, proving that ghosts can be active at daylight as well, it could mean that these paranormal beings prefer the night or are stronger at night.

One more fact proving this theory that Delion got a quick thought of, Jimmy managed to slap the shit out of more than one ghost when they first tried to steal the body.

That is, when they tried to steal the body in chief Amber's house. While last night, although Jimmy could slap them in the graveyard as well, the ghosts were still stronger.

Tough enough to drag the whole chief Ambers through the graveyard with ease and then lift Jingo's body 30 feet above ground.

This easily points that these ghosts are much stronger at night, which planted an idea.

Once the sun sets, Ambers and Delion will leave the village and go to Jack's peek where the body simply dissapeared in mid air.

These ghosts seem to have a fancy for that 100 meter tall boulder, so this necessarily buys an opportunity for the detectives. Going there can help reveal more of the truth although inevitably dangerous.

Well at least they have Jimmy by their side.

...

"What in the name of fuck is going on here?" Delion whispered as the team of three carefully approached, using the dark shade of a sunset to reach what sounds like a party.

A loud ear piercing party, 4 kilometers away from the closest sign of civilization, this can't be right.

There are drums, flutes, hollers of joy and they can even see a large fire possibly 50 meters near Jack's peek.

Or best described, about 50 meters away from where old William first dropped dead.

They spot a line of... things that represent a human form, carrying wood to the growing fire.

We aren't talking about a campfire here, but more like a hotspot where a circular, 15 meter wide fire shines, right out in the open.

Sneaking in closer, they spot that the party runners are dancing around the fire, yelling their joy out and the drummers following them although a few feet behind.

"We need to barge in there and look for Selia." Delion pitches, obviously not so comfortable to face what can count up to 50 ghosts but this case demands guts and curiosity.

Understanding that Delion won't back down either way, Ambers tries to reason instead. "I'm behind you, but is it a good idea? This isn't a one ghost situation, we aren't dealing with Selia only but tens of these maniacs."

"Relax, we have Jimmy." Delion assured, although not having himself convinced at first, not to mention Ambers.

A second later, they hear the crowd yelling louder than the ear can endure although not directed towards the detectives.

Their attention no doubt captured, the two spot a body dropping in the fire, straight from above.

Thankfully the body isn't screaming out in pain or trying to run out, which can only mean that this can be Jingo's corpse. At this point Delion can't think of another reason, regarding what these ghosts would need the body for.

Over a minute has passed and these ghosts are just yelling louder and louder, but now... the fire just shunned away.

That large fire, just disappears in mid air. As if it was never there, the ashes of it remaining only.

It became darker now, but bright enough to see the way in front of them and whatever's out there around the shunned fire.

Selia emerges out of thin air and calls attention to her brothers and sisters in crime. "We have done a great deed today my friends! Jingo is gone! And his accursed soul will forever be part of my jewelry."

After uttering such sentences, the crazy lady waves her hand around, showcasing the ring and enjoying the roaring crowd 10 feet below her.

Them calming down half a minute after, she continues her... I'd like to say heartfelt speech. "But my friends, we still have a lot of work to do! That village carries two other evil people like him, one of them has cursed our friend's soul."

Upon uttering such a sentence, they see old William's soul appearing out of thin air and flying near the lady. It's hard to determine facial features from a distance but they only know William as one with pitch dark features.

This thought is all based on William's appearance in Jingo's funeral, it was shocking but at this point it can be used to comprehend the situation a tad easier.

Ending the speech, Selia yells out. "Today, go and relax my friends but soon... soon we will free our friend's soul so he can finally ascend to heaven!"

Right after a large cheer echoed, but as a minute passed the roar started getting dimmer. Not only because the crowd calmed down but also because they started disappearing, they're dismissed.

"Hey Selia, a word!" Delion shouted, bashing into the scene just before the overpowered lady was about to disappear as well.

Spotting the familiar faces, the lady sighs hard and advises. "Guh... Just get off my ass already! I don't want to kill you."

But once spotting that a bobcat's standing by the two's side, Selia actually flies a bit higher, although slowly to not show fear.

Actually trying to reason with this ghost for once, regardless of the feelings of vengeance, Delion yapps. "You don't have to kill us. Just tell me what Jingo did! All of you are seeing him as an evil man."

"Jingo was evil, corrupt, a trickster even. I did what's right!" The ghost lady deciphered, although not giving out anything specific.

Getting tad nervous, she flies just a little bit higher and demands. "Get that soul sucker away from me!"

Feeling tremendously proud that the bobcat idea actually works, Delion threatens with an offer. "Jimmy is a sweetheart but he has the same questions I do. If you tell us what Jingo did, I'll talk to my cat here and ask him not to slap your ass down to hell."

Unwilling to cooperate, having her ego damaged because of this as well, Selia yells out. "There are evil people in your village, they all have a finger in a disaster and I will make sure they all get what's coming to them."

...

Feeling the broad daylight on his face, Delion rushes up and comprehends a prime fact. Somehow, he and Ambers have fallen sound asleep.

Shaking the lady awake, she queries. "What happened?" While spotting Jimmy sitting and purring on her lap.
