third person pov: midnight explains the cavalry battle the second event of the sports festival. this match is only for the top forty contestants.

third person pov: as midnight explaining the rules of the ribbons each person receives she mentions the most important part.......

midnight: since y/n made it passed the finish line first she gets a ribbon worth ten million points

readers pov:

y/n: what ten million points (practically yelling)

readers thoughts: as midnight mentions that i could feel several gazes coming from the other students. this is practically war against the "most" important thing in life

third person thoughts: once this happens bakugou makes his way towards y/n.... once he's there he says..

bakugou: hey, kim (yelling)

readers thoughts: i turn around to spot the one and only hothead bakugou.....

y/n: (i sigh) what do you want

bakugou: i want nothing from you i'm here to tell you that i'm going to kill you in this match. you were lucky to make it through that race, but it doesn't mean your going to win again. (yell)

y/n: and how am i supposed to react to your sudden outburst

bakugou: you should be taking this seriously (yells but even louder)

y/n: (you turn around) bakugou i shouldn't be wasting my time on a death threat and you should be focusing on "your" plan to take me down....

third person pov: after y/n says that she walks away from bakugou, then bakugou yells...

bakugou: kim where do you think your going i'm not finished yet

y/n: (turns around) i'm going to find a team, were about to start anyways

(y/n says pointing towards the students.......)

continue y/n: now may you excuse me your wasting my time

readers pov:

y/n: i can't believe i have to deal with him, i wonder how midoriya handles him

readers thoughts: speaking of midoriya i wonder if he has a team or i should join him, while i'm at that i'm going to congratulate him on getting second place even though he was close to winning. i almost feel bad for doing that but i wanted to win so i did what i had to do......

third person pov: y/n found midoriya standing by himself looking for a team so y/n goes towards him

author pov: the reason why y/n's not in todoroki team is because they want to see who's stronger out of both of them....

readers pov:

y/n: hey, izuku

izuku pov:

izuku thoughts: i was looking for a team but i didn't have any luck doing, that was until i heard my name being called.....i turn around to see y/n

y/n: hey, izuku

izuku: oh hey y/n

y/n: you did amazing during the race congratulations on reaching second place... but i kinda feel bad for ruining your moment to win (i say sadly)

izuku: it's okay really i'm just glad i made it through the race

y/n: (i smile) well izuku you seemed like you needed a team so i was hoping i could join you

izuku: you want me to be in your team

y/n: (i shake my head) no, i want you to lead the team because you seem like a person that would be the perfect leader plus you have potential. (i take off my ribbon) izuku i want you to take my place as the ten million holder and be a leader

izuku thoughts: i can't believe that y/n doing this even though she won. she really is a great friend..... right now i feel like crying

readers pov:

readers thoughts: as i was handing izuku my ribbon i saw him crying, which made me worry a little so i asked him....

y/n: izuku why are you crying

izuku: this is just to emotional for me i never expected anyone to team up with me or give there place as leader to me

y/n: oh that's understandable but you shouldn't be doubting yourself.

izuku: thanks y/n

y/n: no problem, now that we have two people in our team that is you and me, let's find someone else to join do you have any ideas izuku....

izuku: we can ask ochako

y/n: that's a great idea (i smirk a little but he didn't notice)

readers thoughts: it's obvious that he likes ochako and it's obvious that ochako likes him. so i wonder when they'll both confess to each other

third person pov: izuku and y/n went towards ochako.......

y/n: ochako-chan

ochako: y/n what is it

y/n: i was wondering if you want to join izuku team (i point at him)

ochako: i would love to join, plus i was planning on seeing you y/n

izuku: now that we have three people who should we have as our last team mate

y/n: i'm not sure..... (thinking)

ochako: i know what about tokoyami-kun he's standing by himself (pointing)

izuku: great idea ochako

ochako: thank you deku (with blush)

third person pov: the three went towards tokoyami and asked him surprisingly he agreed to join....

y/n: thank you tokoyami-kun

tokoyami: no problem. aren't you the leader

y/n: no i handed midoriya the ten million ribbon and he's leader. i thought that he would make a great leader

tokoyami: midoriya does have potential (says in agreement)

third person pov: then a girl named mei joins the group to test out her latest invention, the reason why she's in the group because midoriya (y/n) team stood out the most due to the ten million points. after may finished explaining her inventions ochako called the others to check todoroki team....

ochako: hey, you guys check out todoroki team

y/n: huh (i turn around)

readers thoughts: this guy it's obvious he would choose strong team members, even lida in his team a way to betray a friend. then i saw todoroki look at me, and he walks toward my direction....

third person pov: once todoroki made it towards y/n.... midoriya, tokoyami, and ochako noticed; mei didn't really understand why everyone was so surprised. todoroki then said.....

todoroki: so i'm not going against you anymore

y/n: (i scratch the back of my neck nervously) yeah, i gave izuku the ten million ribbon and i also wanted him to be the leader. so yeah (i smile awkwardly)

todoroki: well good luck with defending that ten million ribbon of yours because everyone going to be after that it so you should be worried

y/n: shoto-kun i didn't expect you to get cocky about this round, but a challenge is what you want then you'll get one, and tell lida-kun he's being a traitor (i say pointing at him)

todoroki: your so obvious y/n

y/n: and your obvious we plan to win again but with a team (motioning my hands towards midoriya and the others)

todoroki: you can't be certain that your going to win again

y/n: your right but i'll do my best

mei: (whisper to ochako) are they dating

ochako: (whisper) i'm not sure normally he wouldn't talk to anybody. i'll ask later

y/n: well good luck shoto

todoroki: (he nods)

readers thoughts: todoroki are you trying to make me worry about the other teams...

third person pov: after that todoroki left back to his team leaving your team mates surprised......

ochako: hey y/n are you and todoroki a thing

readers pov:

ochako: are you and todoroki a thing

y/n: no were not dating were friends (i say with blush) why would you think like that

tokoyami: plus, todoroki doesn't interact with anyone so there's a possibility you guys might be together

izuku: plus, you call him by his first name which nobody does

ochako: so that means your dating todoroki

y/n: (madly blushing) can we stop talking about this and let's prepare for the game

third person pov: as the students get to the starting point with their groups they wait for the moment to start. since todoroki group was next to y/n, she began speaking more like threatening

readers pov:

y/n: i have my eyes on you and your team, it's obvious you would choose a strong team that meets your standard

third person pov: todoroki had an amused expression

todoroki: and what do you plan on doing about that (in usual monotone)

readers thoughts: he just asked me that, he really is cocky and i don't like it at all

y/n: (regaining composure) you'll see (i say with a death glare)

third person pov: after y/n said that she turned her attention towards lida

continue y/n: lida since your enemies with izuku that means your enemies with me and i won't stop to k- (ochako quickly covers y/n mouth)

ochako: lida she meant to say she's eager to race with you and we'll beat your team. goodluck as well

y/n: what was that for

tokoyami: for obviously giving death threats to that team when you received one of your own (pointing towards bakugou)

y/n: bakugou a hot headed person so i shouldn't worry about the threat he gave me

third person pov: bakugou heard what you said since he's two teams away from you

bakugou: kim you're going to die including you deku (yelling)

y/n and izuku: how can he hear us (practically yelling)

present mic: the real deal hasn't even started and there's already yelling

time skip to beginning of the race........

third person pov: right now it's time for the students to start, as their racing everyone going towards midoriya. midoriya was going after mezo thinking he was alone but he wasn't because mineta and tsuyu were on his back, tsuyu was blocking attacks and mineta was going to launch one of his balls until it got stuck to ochako hover soles

readers pov:

y/n: that idiot got one of his balls stuck to ochako hover soles (gluing it to the ground) we got to find a way to get that off but if i touch it then it will stick to me.....

ochako: uh guys we need a plan fast

y/n: mei do you have anything to get rid of this

mei: no, i didn't expect this to happen. well this is what happens when you discover new quirks

third person pov: then tetsutetsu joins in the fray.....

izuku: does anyone have an idea on how to get rid of that hover sole

y/n: i do, i can use my fire to destroy it

izuku: that's a great idea but be careful

y/n: (nods in understanding)

(y/n destroyed the hover sole....)

izuku: ochako float us off the ground and if you get tired-

y/n: i could lift us up again, remember my glyphs (motions her hands)

izuku: right

readers pov:

readers thoughts: todoroki wasn't kidding when he said that everyone was after our ten million points, speaking of him why hasn't he still tried to get to us......-what

third person pov: y/n thoughts were cut off by bakugou flying towards there direction. then bakugou said.......

readers pov:

bakugou: i'm going to kill you (yell)

y/n: what (yell)

ochako: oh no (worriedly)

tokoyami: i'll take care of this, dark shadow

third person pov: tokoyami unleashes his dark shadow, then his shadow went towards bakugou knocking him out of the sky and he was heading towards the ground but sero managed to save him. then midnight announces...

midnight: since bakugou didn't touch the ground his maneuver was completely legal

(present mic then speaks.........)

present mic: team midoriya in the lead but they seem to have a major problem, in other words there falling from the sky (yelling)

continue third person: the problem for y/n and her team was that ochako was losing energy from carrying all of them...

ochako: guys i'm feeling a little bit dizzy, i don't think i can hold you guys any longer

(all of a sudden ochako gravity stopped...........)

continue third person pov: everyone obviously started panicking except for y/n she then told them...

y/n: don't worry i got this (yell since a little far from them)

readers pov:

readers thoughts: once i said that to reassure my teammates i created a large platform for us to land on which we succeeded, i didn't have to worry about losing energy since my quirks basically magic

third person pov: once they landed on the platform everyone thanked y/n.....

izuku: thank you y/n

mei: you're a lifesaver

ochako: thanks i mean it (still a little dizzy)

y/n: no problem i'll make us land now and while we're at it i'll heal ochako

(then present mic speaks again........)

present mic: (relief) team midoriya managed to have a safe landing (yell)

continue third person pov : y/n landed her team on the ground safely, she also healed ochako and they continued taking bands. izuku notices none of the teams are coming after them so he says....

izuku: we don't have to worry about the other teams taking our bands since they seem to be paying attention to the others

(then todoroki team appeared....)

todoroki: i don't think so were going to take your ten million

y/n: spoke too soon izuku now we have to deal with his team....never mind that let's attack (yell)

readers pov:

y/n: spoke to soon izuku now we have to deal with his team.....never mind that let's attack (yell)

readers thoughts: once i said that i sent a platform towards his team that had large ice shards and released them, then i said...

y/n: sorry for the aggression but this is war (with a determined face)

(after midoriya said......)

izuku: y/n great job with the distraction but did you have to be intense

y/n: no time for talking let's just go

third person pov: before midoriya team could leave todoroki already got his team out of the way then team mezo heads toward midoriya team due to them losing their band. since they were coming near midoriya y/n sent another attack but it was a wall of flames...

y/n: not another step or i'll add more heat (saying almost obsessively but a little sadistic)

continue third person pov: y/n didn't notice that endeavor was staring at her in surprise due to the amount of fire she released. not only did y/n catch his attention but also todoroki because he didn't know that you obtained fire since she mainly use ice or your glyphs..

readers pov:

izuku: thanks again for blocking but our problem is todoroki

tokoyami: todoroki isn't our only problem but also the other teams, this is probably part of his plan

mei: your right and we have a fifty percent chance avoiding them

ochako: y/n and tokoyami could protect us

(tokoyami and y/n nod in agreement..)

readers pov:

izuku: tokoyami you take the left and y/n you take right

readers thoughts: i unleashed my sword (while i still had support of izuku) and created an ice barrier blocking the teams on my side some dodged it and tokoyami used his dark shadow to attack some of the teams

mr. aizawa pov:

mr. aizawa thoughts: todoroki seems to be adapting his strategy from the obstacle course

time skip to denki unleashing lightning......

third person pov: denki sent lightning shocks towards everyone while momo protected their team from getting electrocuted..........

readers pov:

ochako: denki electrocuting everyone

y/n: i can handle this, i'll protect everyone in a barrier while i absorb the electricity because i'm able to get stronger by it

mei: you seem to be full of secrets (in amazement)

readers thoughts: once denki sent his lightning shocks towards the teams i created a barrier for mine then i stuck up the piece sign in the air and i started absorbing the energy coming from the shocks making it die off fast...

third person pov: as y/n was doing that some of the teams noticed that she wasn't getting electrocuted until they saw electric shocks surrounding her hands. but todoroki including his team noticed then momo said.....

momo pov:

momo: uhm shouldn't y/n team be electrocuted (then the electricity stopped)

lida: what it hasn't even been a minute and the shocks stopped (then lida looked towards your direction) it can't be it also doesn't make sense

momo: kim absorbed all the electricity

todoroki thoughts: y/n has many secrets about her quirk

readers pov:

readers thoughts: i finished absorbing the electricity so i released the barrier surrounding everyone

y/n: (i sight) that was a close one at least it had something to do with my quirk

ochako: i forgot you could do that

mei: so you gain energy from absorbing lightning

y/n: (i nod) yes

tokoyami: i'm glad that i didn't have to release dark shadow because his weakness is light

time skip to the end of the game also to the part when izuku celebrates too early.........

author note: i thought i spent to long on the second event so i decide to fast forward to the end so we can get to the one on one battles since that's the best part obviously in my opinion

third person pov: todoroki team won the cavalry battle due to midoriya losing the ten million point band, when midoriya went to take it back he took a seventy point band instead leaving him upset to the fact that his team won't move to the next round....

izuku pov:

izuku thoughts: i can't believe that the ten million points got taken away and that i only managed to grab a seventy point band, now we won't be able to move to the next round. i think it was a mistake for me being leader...

readers pov:

y/n: guys look what tokoyami and i have (showing three seventy point bands)

tokoyami: (shows his fifty point band)

mei: how did you guys get these

ochako: wow, it's good that we have you and tokoyami on our team

tokoyami: i managed to get dark shadow close to todoroki and he stole one of his bands

y/n: i got these bands when i was defending our team when we were surround, (whispers last part) i also stole one from bakugou team but don't tell him

mei: that's really smart

y/n: mhm it really is when you have a quirk suited for a situation like this

readers thoughts: when i look back at ochako i saw her staring at izuku. when i saw his expression it was filled with disappointment, i then say....

y/n: ochako do you think izuku upset because he thinks we won't be able to move to the next round

ochako: yeah, but he'll be surprised that you and tokoyami got enough points for us to be in third place so there's no reason for us to think negatively about this match (ends with a smile)

y/n: how about we surprise him by showing the bands tokoyami and i managed to steal

mei: that's actually a great idea

ochako: what about you tokoyami

tokoyami: do whatever you feel like doing

y/n: then it's settle

third person pov: y/n and her team walked towards midoriya who's disappointed once there by him he says......

izuku: hey everyone, it's my fault that we won't move to the next round, i'm also a bad leader. y/n you should've been the leader instead of me because i made us lose the ten million

y/n: (i put my hand on his shoulder while i had the ribbons behind my back) izuku you shouldn't be blaming yourself, even though you lost the ten million there's still hope

izuku: what do you mean by hope we won't be going to the next round

ochako: actually we will (yell in excitement)

izuku: how (still in thought of what his friends mean)

y/n: tokoyami an i managed to steal some head bands

third person pov: y/n takes out her three seventy point bands and shows izuku

izuku: how did you get these (on the verge of crying)

tokoyami: there's one more (he shows the fifty point band)

mei: y/n managed to steal a few while defending our team and tokoyami stole one from todoroki by unleashing his dark shadow

ochako: they were a big help

izuku: thanks a lot i really thought we lost for a second (crying)

mei: is it a habit for him to cry so much

ochako: i think so he's probably happy we get to move on

y/n: that's a reasonable explanation

todoroki thoughts: i broke my promise i used my left side

readers pov:

tokoyami: i'll leave now that i've done my part as your teammate

mei: i'll leave too i also assume that we have enough points to fit us into third place leaving bakugou second and todoroki first

y/n: (nods) that's right, well i'll leave too bye (walks away)

ochako: i'll go see lida-kun what he did was so cool

readers thoughts: i'm going to see todoroki since he won this event and i also talk to him about his fire since he used it on midoriya but i should probably think of a way to ask him, since i don't want to anger him

third person pov: while y/n was looking for todoroki inside the building she spotted him with izuku at the entrance. since she didn't want to be spotted she stayed hidden around the corner so she listen to what's going on between both of them and she knew that this time it's different because this time there somewhere a little private...

izuku: what did you want to talk about

readers pov:

readers thoughts: i knew i shouldn't be eavesdropping on them but i had to know what's going on, ever since today there seems to be a problem between them....

author note: just to get this clear y/n's parents relationship was a quirk but y/n mother never realized it before her fifth birthday when her father snaps at her mother for having a "weak" child because he only married her to have a child with both parents quirk to be a hero. due to him not being able to do so. whew, i just wanted to get this out of the way now let's continue with the story

third person pov: then todoroki begins to speak

readers pov:

todoroki: your power, from the cavalry battle it was the same as all mights

izuku: (in shock)

todoroki: are you perhaps all mights secret love child

readers thoughts: once todoroki said that i just wanted to laugh because izuku had an awkward expression and it was so funny but i had to contain myself by covering my mouth to not make a sound. todoroki does have a point.........

third person pov: izuku tries to explain that isn't it but todoroki still thinks there's something happening between the two. y/n already knows that izuku hiding something and she might have a clue about his quirk. after todoroki said.....

todoroki: as the son of the number two pro hero endeavor this gives me more reasons to defeat you

izuku: huh

third person pov: izuku didn't understand what todoroki meant, then todoroki took notice of his expression and started to explain

todoroki: my father obsessed with defeating all might, all though he was never able to do it. he still trying to...

continue third person pov: todoroki explains to izuku about his past

readers pov:

readers thoughts: as i'm listening to todoroki speak i feel a presence behind me, i turn around to see bakugou then i whisper....

y/n: (whisper) what are doing here

bakugou: (whisper) i could say the same for you. now be quiet so i can listen too

y/n: (whisper) i didn't mean to eavesdrop i just sensed something wrong

bakugou: (whisper) whatever were both doing the same thing

readers thoughts: as i'm listening to todoroki telling his past my heart was aching on how much pain he went through.....

third person pov: y/n didn't notice that she whispered something loud that bakugou heard her

y/n: (whisper) trust me i know how it feels to be in a quirk marriage... it's terrible

bakugou thoughts: as i'm listening to icy hot explain his past to deku i heard kim whisper something about being in a quirk message... was she in one too, nevermind that i could care less about her. my real competition is deku and icy hot

time skip to todoroki finished explaining his past.................

third person pov:

todoroki: the reason why i'm telling you this is because i want to prove to my father that i can be the winner of the sports festival without my fire

(then todoroki starts to leave....)

readers pov:

readers thoughts: there coming back i better leave before i get spotted by them

third person pov: bakugou leaves the spot where y/n and him were hiding but y/n stayed because she heard midoriya speak and the footsteps coming from that direction stopped

izuku: despite your inferior motivations, i'll still try my best to defeat you todoroki

readers thoughts: once izuku said that y/n quickly left due to fact that nobody was talking and she heard their footsteps coming clear.. plus, it was time for lunch

third person pov: y/n made it to the lunch room not to late but in perfect timing. then she walked towards ochako

readers pov:

y/n: hey ochako

ochako: oh, hey y/n where were you

y/n: uhm.... i went to the restroom plus i needed a new p.e shirt due to the fact mineta through one of his ball to my other one

ochako: oooooooooh, that's a reasonable reason

y/n: mhm

ochako: well sit down and eat already plus you need energy for the final match

third person pov: both girls continued talking about the festival and also enjoyed eating there meals while doing so. some of their classmates for example mina congratulated them on making it to third place when they almost lost due to them losing the ten million point band. y/n sat with ochako to give todoroki some space since she didn't want to seem suspicious just walking up to him after the conversation he had with midoriya

preview of next chapter:

third person pov: after lunch y/n meets up with todoroki and congratulates him on winning but as she's talking to him she notices that he doesn't seem quite in the mood for talking, so she quickly ends their conversation as they wait for instruction or incoming information about the next match. present mic announces that before the finals, participants can take part in the recreational side games. then he and aizawa notice......
