The Perfect Plan

''Bruno… Bruno… I swear… I don't know… know what happened. It's strange to me Bruno. You believe me even if no one does right?" She said searching his eyes for a positive answer but found none. 

Emilia was taken aback. Even Bruno didn't believe her. 

"You… you… you really don't believe me Bruno? You doubt me?"

Bruno stared hard at the princess and left without saying a word. 

Emilia broke down in tears. 

She was broken but more broken because the one dear to her heart, didn't believe her.

"What is this flame I am seeing from afar? And why are there high numbers of guards coming from afar? " The king asked the officials that were with him.

They sent a guard to go inquire from the approaching troops about what was happening.
