Chapter 41
They reached the capital late at night. They dropped Scarlett off at the building first. Her team knew she lived in a penthouse. (and they thought she owned it, judging how much she earned in a year)
Scarlett dragged her suitcase to the door and knocked on it twice. Nobody opened it, so she rang the bell. A few seconds later, a very sleepy Anastasia opened the door, and the doggos surrounded her.
"Hi, baby!" Damn, they grew so much in a short time! She felt like a grandma seeing her grandkids after just a month.
"How did the surgery go?" Anastasia sleepily asked.
"It went great! Zoe's doing well, that's the patient's name. We went sightseeing, and I also bought stuff and food from there!"
She yawned and nodded. "Hmm. Go wash up and then sleep. You can show me whatever you bought in the morning."
"Okay~"
"Good night."
"Good night."
In the morning, Anastasia woke up to the smell of warm food. I probably kept the door open, she thought, and went to sleep. Five minutes later, someone drew in the curtains and Anastasia covered her face with her pillow.
"Rise and shine!" Scarlett cheerfully said.
"Whatever let me sleep," Anastasia mumbled against her pillow.
Scarlett rolled her eyes. She took the pillow near her foot and started hitting Anastasia with it. "Wake up!"
"No!"
"If you don't wake up right now, then I will take off the blankets as well and then turn off the ventilation!" Anastasia grumbled and stood up. "You and my mother would get along well!"
Scarlett smiled like a little shit as Anastasia walked into the bathroom. She came out after ten minutes and Scarlett dragged her to the bed. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing, just going to feed you."
Anastasia flushed and yelled. "What?! I can do it by myself!"
Scarlett laughed and pulled Anastasia's cheeks. "I'm just teasing you! You look cute when you are embarrassed."
"Shut up!" Stop making my heart go Doki-Doki, you idiot!
Scarlett smiled and took a box. It was filled with some kind of chocolate sticky cake thingy with almonds. "What is that?"
"It's fudge!"
"What's that?"
"This?"
"Okay." she took a spoon and took a piece out of it. She hesitantly put it in her mouth and her eyes widened. "It's good!"
"I know right! I even found the recipe for it!"
"Okay."
Scarlett frowned. "Why did you say okay?"
"Then what am I supposed to say then?" Anastasia sarcastically asked.
"I don't know, something uplifting. Your 'okay' hurted me!" she dramatically put her hand on her chest and fell down.
Anastasia laughed. "You drama queen."
"Anyway, do you want to make it with me?"
"Hmm, okay. It's good to see you back to your old self."
"What?"
"Before you used to not eat that much, go in a daze a lot of times, smile too much and it was weird for me to see you like that. It was creepy for me to see you smile so much. I'm glad you are getting okay now."
"Hmm. so I'll be downstairs then."
"Okay."
A few days later, Levi sent a message in the group chat: hey can we have the celebration?
Bee: okay! But when?
Fox: let Scarlett decide.
Fox: whenever she wants to celebrate it I'm okay with it
Luz: I don't care
Luz: I'm okay with any place!
Bee: for a second I thought you didn't care that we are going to celebrate Scarlett's accomplishment since the last time LOL *laughing tears emoji*
Luz: lmaooooooooo *laughing tears emoji*
Scarlett; I'm here! What did I miss?
Luz: where should we go for the celebration?
Scarlett: what celebration?
Fox: you promised us that we'll go to a place for celebrating this joyous occasion!
Scarlett: what joyous occasion?
Luz: *gasp
Fox: *gasp
Levi: *gasp
Bee: *gasp
Bee: how dare you!
Bee: you told us that since this is your first surgery you have done after failing the last one
Bee: you'll treat us for it!
Bee: how dare you forget it?!
Bee: this is betrayal!
Luz: thank you dramatic Bee!
Luz: for telling how I feel right now
Bee: you're welcome *blowing air through the nose in anger emoji
Scarlett: oh
Scarlett: okay then
Scarlett: how about a barbecue place then?
Fox: okay!
Levi: okay!
Luz: you're going to be the one paying so okay!
Bee: may I suggest some?
Scarlett: alright sure!
Bee suggested a lot of barbecue places and Scarlett ended up choosing the least famous one since they wouldn't have that much of a crowd.
It was decided that tomorrow, they would arrive at the place Scarlett chose at eight or eight-thirty and then maybe go to a bar if they have time.
But boy, a huge mess was waiting for them and they didn't even know what will happen there.
