Modified Pathway

The practices from other timelines were localized and adhered to specific formats. Even deities were not exempt; their gifts and practices granted to believers or cults were incorporated into a path that represented their priesthood and authority. This path ensured that each step led the followers to become more like the deity governing that priesthood, essentially creating vessels capable of wielding most, if not all, of the deity's power and authority.

This was also true for cultists and believers of twisted entities. They eagerly sought to be close to those chaotic beings, disregarding the immense costs and dangers. As a result, although they possessed inexplicable powers and immense pollution fatal and uncomfortable for others, it also meant their practice was akin to walking down a cliff with no equipment in the dead of night.
