Back Then, Part 2

"Say, I sort of remember that you mentioned to me before that you used to be in a drama club when you were a high school student. Was that true?" He asked.

The question reminded me of a grim past that I wanted to forget, but I didn't want to feel down just because of it. So I tried to answer it without thinking about the past too much. "Yeah… I used to love acting. I really liked to perform on stage before."

"Really? What made you quit?"

"I uhh, I really can't talk about that." I told him.

"Oh, okay." He said, smiling. "I wish you joined our drama club too. It must be nice performing with you on stage."

"Hahaha, I'm not really that great at acting though."

"Well, that won't really matter since you'll learn to perform better if you keep on practicing."

"T-That might be true." I started to feel a bit hazy. Being reminded of the past isn't really good for me… it wasn't good talking to Yuu like this.

"Anyways, I'll be performing two weeks later. I hope you'll come and watch."

"Sure, I'll try."

"See 'ya around!" As he waved goodbye, I quickly ran to find a comfort room.

"…ugh." I felt so bad from remembering everything again. My head was spinning and I feel like I'll throw up every second I remember it.

I didn't want to do this, but I think I don't have that much choice. I took out my phone and called for Toma. "Hey…" I talked as soon as he picked up.

"What's up, Yuji? If you're worried, I'm actually feeling a bit better now." He chuckled.

"Toma, can you pick me up?"

He fell silent for a while, then asked. "What happened? Where are you right now.

"...I just don't feel well, and…" After telling him where I was, he said that he'll come as soon as he can before hanging up. All I did as I was stuck in the comfort room was to wait for him.

When Toma was finally infront of me, the last thing I remembered was slowly falling to the ground and losing sight of my surroundings.

It was really unlucky for this to happen... as I tried to open my eyes, I started hearing voices that were calling out to me.

"…Yujiro! Naozumi Yujiro!"

"Coming!" I yelled back.

"Is your make up done? How about the props? Wait, no! Is all the cast prepared now? The play is going to start after half an hour!" Makoto, the drama club president started panicking. He's always like this whenever a play will begin.

"Hmm, I'm perfectly ready. I don't know about the other things you ask though." I answered. Noticing the vice president, Osumu, I immediately informed her about the pres. "Osumu senpai, I think you need to help pres calm down. I think he's losing it."

She sighed, looking really stressed. "Ugh, not again... you just wait there and practice a bit while there's still time. I'll take care of pres."

"Sure, also don't be too harsh on pres." I told her.

"I know, I know." She said, but her smile actually shows otherwise. "Good luck for later." Looking at her reminded me that it's better not to add to her stress (unlike what pres is doing), she can really be cruel sometimes.

"Thanks." Then I had to watch the sight of Osumu beating up pres. It was really a pitiful scene that I couldn't even manage to practice my lines.

While watching, I felt a light tap on my shoulder. Glancing at my back, Tomakawa was there.
